Ahh!! makes me feel homesick. The relaxed lifestyle with its simplicity that I yearn for now. The mouth watering fresh fish and the island way of cooking in a care free part of the world. Guess I can't take the island way of life out of me even though I left the island 40 years ago.
this food MUST be delicios, because its cooked by three relaxed and happy men! what a Paradise in my eyes! 😊🎈 This was great *SLICE*, just the sound of Nature and the talking voices is so calming - had a hard working day, now i feel Joy and i am hungry!
❤ Tahitians, their my favourite Polynesians. ❤ their songs and dances, their band called "New Generation " was a hit in PNG in the late 90's. They even came and performed at Port Moresby 💃🌺🌴
Amazing life style, two of the men looked almost European or a mixture, it would be nice to delve deeper into the culture and ethnicity of these people.
@@leont5096 I understand your point but i wanted to know more about the indigenous population before the arrival of the French. It's a part of the world i know nothing about.
This is close to arabic cooking of Shuwa, which is cooked underground as well but the Arab put a lot of spicies on the meat.. Shuwa usually cooked during Eid after Ramadan..
I’m part Tahitian but I don’t really know that part of my culture I can understand them surprisingly it’s not so different to my mother tongue Cook islands 🇨🇰
This is how it was in most societies before the industrial revolution, when men started to work longer hours in factory jobs and on farms their wives had to cook for them
Love that Iam full cookisland moari and can understand there lego tero maori if your new Zealand moari you would understand what they are saying aswel long line of chiefs from Tahiti to new Zealand now you know where moaris are from and why they are the true Polynesian warriors of the pacific >Hawaii_🇦🇹🇨🇰🗿 🇳🇿< all speak maori and French🦾

Many aren't European at all most are pure native

What's the doughy stuff wrapped in banana leaves.?
The cause of Mutiny on the Bounty , mashed ripe Bread fruit , which is sweet . The matured ones , less sweet , taste like patetoe .. 😀😎
