That's Jack he joined sometime before this split. This line up stayed the same until the self titled record when Nick and Beatz joined. Chris joined after the passing of Beatz.
Damn, are you serious? I have the split on original CD still, along with a ton of other old relics from the ancient Long Island music scene. I should probably look into this lol
@XxSGxMAYNExX i wondered for a while too. i started looking closely, and its kinda hard to tell because poor video quality. the first thing that ant's guitar brings to mind is a kramer striker. im 99% sure that jack is playing an ibanez rg350
2024 and this is still one of their best songs. I wish they would still play this at their shows but I know they wont because it talks about popping pills and cutting your wrists 😢
EightDaysAWeek00 It may have been a bad use of the word but it was more like pop punk/emo to me than some of their more serious sounding stuff. I did hear Sirens and Condolences first though and I love that album,
Yeah I just said what I said because they were more akin to pop punk music at the time. It's sad though how I literally relate to this song, well besides the slashing wrists part of course,
u do know i was like 15 when that vid was shot? im bout to be 17 and i dont practice and cover bayside sooo im pretty sure u can throw ur drummer on my doorstep and see how stuff goes
I actually wish I knew what happened to Andrew. They used to play in my club all the time in west palm beach and I became somewhat friends with Anthony and Andrew. The first time they played I believe it was this line up. I always dealt with Andrew too for the booking, then one day after my club closed and I went to see them at another club in town, there was no more Andrew. I haven't been able to locate a reason why he left the band and the email I had was andrew@baysideisacult
atariban what venue was that? I remember playing rays and spankys on Clematis. Wasn't the Kelsey club in WPB too? That place was rad to play. I miss touring through WPB :(
@NoPainNoGain2393 I think this alot better the the first version but thats my opinion but they are what they are now this their video. it wasnt all that bad
lead singer must have had one f'd up life... cause ive listened to all their songs and some of the stuff he sings about is messed up... but i guess thats why i like the so much.
Their ex-bassist Andrew Elderbaum was a good lyricist, but he was way too depressing with his lyrics. He's what got them to be classified as "emo" music. I love their old stuff, but Anthony's lyrics are one million times better!
i wish they'd put this on spotify, it's one of their best songs in my opinion
Exactly why I came here
they won’t even play it live 😪
It’s not possible. Dying Wish records is long gone
@@nine5661 then shouldn't the song become fair use?
The Split EP is on Spotify as far as I know, but it's not available in the United States.
2024 and this still hits the same 🤙🏼
2019 pushing 30 still bumping this
Bayside for life
Song that made love these dudes. i still listen to it probobly 3 times a week.
hes playing the kind of guitar that makes a guitar sound
Jack's playing an Ibanez in this video!! Makes me even more proud that I play one.
Best band of the Warped era. But that's just my opinion. Ignore me.
woah ive been listening to band forever and still am amazed at this video
the lyrics: "I'm gonna fucking сut myself"
Tony's face while singing: 😌
great song....definitely a great one.....
actually interestingly enough i recently found the split ep....i was amazed when i found it....
wicked to see them guys like that (:
I am sick in bed with mono, and your music is the best medicine (forget chicken soup!)
Hope you're feeling better!
Oh man great music I never heard of them before but this music really makes me happy. XD
i love this song.
ugh, just take me away to your poetic island bc they are just that good :)
dang! so old! so awesome! still love them to death
They've progressed so much since then
Epic!
this is late, but it's on the split ep they did with name taken. if you put the cd in the computer, you can watch it.
truely amazing!
hooray for throwing the guitar swing at the end!
That's Jack he joined sometime before this split. This line up stayed the same until the self titled record when Nick and Beatz joined. Chris joined after the passing of Beatz.
Tim Lundin - and some weirdo played drums before this lineup
Jack Came in 03 around the Slip EP. Sirens didnt come out till 2004
i loveeee this song :)
@ROFLrawrDinosor Completely agree they have such meaningful lyrics in all of their songs!
I sold this demo for $200 last year. Good times. Gotten higher offers for the split. Jams on jams.
I have the split cd, didn't realize it had any real value. Just wish they would play this live.
@@GoldenEmu1 200 for a demo seems low. This band really got popular for a spell, I know they never got into the "scene" but Bayside was a cult.
They handed this demo out at Warped Tour back in the day
Damn, are you serious? I have the split on original CD still, along with a ton of other old relics from the ancient Long Island music scene. I should probably look into this lol
this is fuckin fantastic. :D
bayside is the best.
@XxSGxMAYNExX i wondered for a while too. i started looking closely, and its kinda hard to tell because poor video quality. the first thing that ant's guitar brings to mind is a kramer striker.
im 99% sure that jack is playing an ibanez rg350
stand by me?
it reminds me of it too!
yeah I did. I already listened about twenty songs. I especially like 'Blame it on bad luck'and 'Devotion and Desire' and 'Megan' great songs.
@inFAMOUStrigger well thats superb
2024 and this is still one of their best songs. I wish they would still play this at their shows but I know they wont because it talks about popping pills and cutting your wrists 😢
I've noticed a increase of popularity of the lightning strap since Rivers Coumo used it.
Do want. :)
I still love the old emo/poppy stuff. Really like the first LP.
+notyoursavior78 poppy?
EightDaysAWeek00 It may have been a bad use of the word but it was more like pop punk/emo to me than some of their more serious sounding stuff. I did hear Sirens and Condolences first though and I love that album,
Their old stuff is great. I would say their old stuff is emo punk. "Poppy" is an accurate term for their new music, not their old music.
Yeah I just said what I said because they were more akin to pop punk music at the time. It's sad though how I literally relate to this song, well besides the slashing wrists part of course,
anyone have a HD version of this?
This was before beatz was ever in the band...
that is Jack he's the only lead guitarist they ever had its on their wikipage
im cool with that
i like how anthony is the only original remaining band member nowadays..
Jack was also an og
aw. ant looks so younggg.
@trolm3 Maybe that's why he smashed it at the end. :P
anthony looks adorable
Anyone ? #2025
which/where is the second version?
wow, they're all kids!
anthony is so skinny and cute and jack is almost unrecognizable! haha
What guitar is anthony playing?
No other band is better then Bayside (:
don't you think that anthony looks like peter petrelli for hero's here? lol
love this sonng
Was jim the drummer at this point? I know this is pre nick/beatz
Yup, that's me.
K thx bro. I will look up some music from Smoking Popes. Maybe you already know them, maybe you don't but Chevelle also rocks ass!!
u do know i was like 15 when that vid was shot? im bout to be 17 and i dont practice and cover bayside sooo im pretty sure u can throw ur drummer on my doorstep and see how stuff goes
nevermind, you mean the one off the dying wish records promo?
Jack O' Shea - lead guitar and backing vocals (2003-present)
Bayside split EP - 2003
its jack...but the only real original member left is anthony
it is jack. jack join like around siren and condolenses
what do you mean he has tattoos in the video. hes not sleaved up.
I haven't been able to locate a reason why he left the band and the email I had was andrew@baysideisacult
atariban 9 Years later, Andrew is a manager at Lowe’s :’) he hired me
SaRaya Houle for serious?
He lives in Washington now with his wife and twin boys. I live with him for a bit after he left the band.
atariban what venue was that? I remember playing rays and spankys on Clematis. Wasn't the Kelsey club in WPB too? That place was rad to play. I miss touring through WPB :(
Anthony Raneri just did a guitar spin...
@FlyFloatAndAwake How would I know what?...
Jake?
yeeh he is lol, he's the other guitarist, pause at 0.24 its jack with short hair.
@Bluegirl103 that's only because he took another 20 pill to make his troubles go away
cymbals
holy fuck. thats totally jack
@NoPainNoGain2393 I think this alot better the the first version but thats my opinion but they are what they are now this their video. it wasnt all that bad
Holy fuck.. Jack with short hair..
The original is better than the CD copy.
it says sabian
lead singer must have had one f'd up life... cause ive listened to all their songs and some of the stuff he sings about is messed up... but i guess thats why i like the so much.
@FlyFloatAndAwake haha they dont have any money!
damn even before jack was in the band
I would like some stuff pls. :)
do u even listen to that kinda music? u know the music with challenging drums... obv the stuff i was playin was shit when ur a bayside fan
LOL OMG! i wanna play the kind of guitar that makes a baby sound you know; fart, burp, cuo, cry, wine, ect.
you sure thats him? if it is he looks really really different with short hair
Thie video could have been filmed right when Jack joined.
Tim Lundin it was
@Sparxjosh they had an already broken one ha cheap lol
is too jack. just with short hair. he had short hair in "devotion and desire"
No its J.R. Manning..
Nick, And Jack joined at ther same time..
Holy shit, you're right! Just a younger skinnier version. haha
Nuh uh : O
if you could show me up maybe id take u seriously
Jack looks like a baby :P
where are your drum vids hater
We are a cult.
MyBestMe
what? jack o'shea isn't is this..
well what I meant was as many tats that he has now.
Never said that. Jack and Anthony rock. Just not their Gibsons.
looks like a westone pantera to me...
naw thats J. R. Manning in the video
I don't like this version nearly as much as the one I have on CD.
Nah, they're from Bayside, New York.
Their ex-bassist Andrew Elderbaum was a good lyricist, but he was way too depressing with his lyrics. He's what got them to be classified as "emo" music. I love their old stuff, but Anthony's lyrics are one million times better!
its weird seeing Anthony without tats
Sure looks like Jack at 0:24.....
...
so weird. cant believe ant used that kind of guitar.
you must suck then stcin8 what do u cover bayside? lmao, i love using all my 24 frets. and get an expensive ibanez itll sound however u want it to
no. we're not.
