No, you dont need to have wifi connected all the time, only when you want to use apps that require internet, like TH-cam etc. The usb flashdrive is to play stored media

@@RD-dm2je hey man its pretty much all cheap plastic heads up if youre buying it for the fm transmitter then id look for another option i tested it in multiple cars and the audio it gave back with very bad quality and has a lot of static (yes i made sure it was a dead channel etc) but if youre going to use the aux it works significantly betters
@@Sukihara thanks for the response. The Unit and the Radio are both able to handle aux. The device should replace the maps + more Unit in the car of my wife (vw Up). The current unit is from garmin, but to be honest it is also just plastic.

When the GPS is connected: does it use the internal GPS when connected via CP/AA or only on Android on-device apps? Cars with AA/CP built in have GPS built into the car for the head unit - better dedicated receiver and uses the cars GPS vs requiring the phone (which sucks battery like crazy).
I purchased one of these after watching reviews. I will say this, the unit I have will not connect to car stereo and phone at the same time via Bluetooth. Unit will only allow one Bluetooth connection at once. I'm very unhappy about this detail that TH-cam reviewer's aren't telling you.

To be honest, I cant comment about the sticky part sticking on the dashboard becasue I tested it for a short while. I didnt notice any issues with the sound quality or controlling

With the Android screens, you can install apps like TH-cam, Netflix, Live TV etc. Non-Android screens would only have wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, Mobile Screen mirroring and some basic functions
