There you go again, Doug, you used one of your great tips and tricks for getting the bamboo shade up!! I would've never thought about putting up an extra piece of wood, that would've helped align the shade with the window better!! Blonde and brainless me, would've just attached the brackets to the wall and left the shade hanging down, just a little over on the upper trim and then I wouldn't have been able to see the fine details. Thank you for sharing and showcasing one of your many talents with us!! Oh, I almost forgot to say thank you, for showing us what your dining room light looks like at night, it's absolutely stunning and a perfect choice for the room!! Thank you! When the video started and I saw the dining room light fixture I remembered how perfect it was for your home. Once I saw it after dark it was even better than I recalled!. The bamboo shade was the perfect solution to being blinded/scorched during evening meals. You found the perfect storage cabinet for your needs and space. What a great vlog! When I first saw the white hutch I didn’t think it would work with such dark wood in the living area, but after it was in the nook I was pleasantly surprised at how good it looked! It brought in a lot of light. Loved how your dining room has turned out too. It’s very simple but appealing. I’m so impressed with how the two of you work together and how nice it’s looking!

Don't waste the space that box you are going to make for the top of the hutch could afford to you! Make it a secret hiding place for something special that you rarely access, like home protection and ammunition or precious metals. Another idea is it could house a small lockbox with your most important papers - will/trust, copies of birth certificates, passports, etc.

Sitting there on your wee balcony you look so relaxed and happy.Would a couple of table lamps and/or perhaps standing lamps add a warm ambiance to your sitting room.Then too if you had a companion piece matching your elegant new cabinet,the white paint would lighten the room .You’ll find a way,you always do😊❤❤❤

I have to admit…I wasn’t a huge fan of the dark wall decisions you were making….but based on watching your channel for probably 3-4 years now I decided to trust the process and see how it all comes together. I absolutely love how the white furniture, trim, accents look against these dark walls. It looks so good! You guys have made some really cool design decisions!
The new cabinet unit is beautiful!!! It has the old cabinet feel ,yet is brand new! I was freaking out when you almost lost it! Blind blends in perfectly! Cool ideal about a ladder to the loft but very curious to see what you come up with in design. Your right about parts of the house being too dark. The dinning room turned out perfect and it is like by the time you really got into staining and trying different technics that room was the best! Lovely cabinet ,so I found a cabinet similar like that people were getting rid of it. It was on the road because of a leak in the back was broken so my plans are to fix that leak and to sand it down and paint it white and it will probably go in my bathroom. I have a large large bathroom so I’ll be using it to store towels and whatever soaps and things like that and bottom part will probably hold you know medicine or who knows ,but that’s my planAt Cabinet is beautiful 👍🏼

Love the new hutch. Brightens the small cove. Brings back memories of my grandparents' farmhouse. Their home had the same dark stain, and I loved it. The walls had character. However, the kitchen walls were painted a buttery yellow with yellow pine cabinets. Outstanding work!

Maybe a nice bamboo area rug under the table would help with the echo situation. The new cabinet looks perfect in the nook. Just a thought but if your living room is a little dark just add some small up shining spot lights in a few spots. They don’t take up space but can add some highlights to your room. As I said before, the dining room is my favorite room!! It looks amazing!! I commented on everything in the room the last video, except the two black chairs!! I forgot about them!! I’m glad you went with black and didn’t try to match the chairs with the walls. The black chairs look perfect!! The white hutch looks amazing as well!! Perfect place for it!! Your house is really coming together!! If your computer chairs are comfortable, then use them just like you are…..on the balcony. If you have room, a small table to hold a drink would be nice on the balcony as well. WalMart has various size tv trays if that’s something your interested in. ❤❤❤❤ blessings to your family!!
I like the roller blind another good choice. I love macrame I was a fan in the early 70’s when I first learned how to do it. I love, love, love the white hutch it brightens everything and so useful. I have followed your channel since you were remodeling the older mobile home in Indiana I think this is such a perfect house for your personalities.
My anxiety spiked watching you lift and slide the upper unit onto that base! I have lived through that multiple times and know it can be precarious!😮. Love the piece!!!! And the shade! You’re genius! Love the new hutch. Brightens the small cove. Brings back memories of my grandparents' farmhouse. Their home had the same dark stain, and I loved it. The walls had character. However, the kitchen walls were painted a buttery yellow with yellow pine cabinets. Outstanding work!

Doug, only you could cut down that bamboo shade and make it look 👀 so good 😊 I like your dining room, it’s wonderful that you can all sit down, have a nice dinner 🍽️ and enjoy being together. Maybe a nice bamboo area rug under the table would help with the echo situation. The new cabinet looks perfect in the nook. Just a thought but if your living room is a little dark just add some small up shining spot lights in a few spots. They don’t take up space but can add some highlights to your room. They have some on Amazon. I’m glad 😃 you and Ashley can relax on your balcony after a long day of work.
I don't know how you feel about a table runner, but it would help absorb some of the echo. Everything is looking so good. I am trying to not be envious of that new cabinet-it is beautiful!
Getting to put the finishing touches on rooms has to feel so good. It's a sign that it's done or close anyway. The hall cabinet is very pretty and functional, which is nice. The white does brighten up that dark corner. Love your little balcony. It looks very peaceful and cozy.

As I said before, the dining room is my favorite room!! It looks amazing!! I commented on everything in the room the last video, except the two black chairs!! I forgot about them!! I’m glad you went with black and didn’t try to match the chairs with the walls. The black chairs look perfect!! The white hutch looks amazing as well!! Perfect place for it!! Your house is really coming together!! If your computer chairs are comfortable, then use them just like you are…..on the balcony. If you have room, a small table to hold a drink would be nice on the balcony as well. WalMart has various size tv trays if that’s something your interested in. ❤❤❤❤ blessings to your family!!
