You can also hold down after pressing 1 to flip on your stomach. It’s useful for characters like dragonov to use his walking dead tackle to tackle someone or quickly run away, you can even use the attack in the video to break their legs for a decent chunk of damage if you flip face down and leg towards.
Some more knowledge for one option. 3+4 When your opponent wakes up with 3+4, depending on where you're hit on block during the animation, you can either launch or do a -14 punish. Hitting early is -21, while hitting late is -14. Unless you are a character, like lee or Paul, with a safe on block df2 launcher, if you aren't sure whether or not you got hit early or late, just do your highest damage non launch punisher. If you are kazuya, just throw out electric. It either launches or they block for you having +5 with knock back. Devil Jin, if you're confident, D3+4 cancan is a i15 launcher. Reina, Electric or df2 (df2 is unsafe at -12) Jin, electric if not sure, f3,1 if you know you got hit on block late, and in heat this launches, or uf4 hopkick or D3+4 cancan if you get hit early. Also remember, if you don't block 3+4, you're still + if you're hit early, around +5 so it's still your turn.
you can also DELAY your wake up if you know your oponent doesnt know what to hit you with on the groud or if you have the life advantage and wanna stall for the clock to run out
Some characters also have a stronger spring kick if you press b 3+4, where they rise with your back towards the other player. King is and example of character that has this. It is stronger than the other spring kick, but it leaves you more vulnerable
Remember in techeolling, you can only techroll if your character's feet touches the ground there are situations where you've been juggled and your character's back lands but their feet haven't, it means you can't techroll that
And also hold forward while you are landing from far hitting moves to "short spring kick"... Or hold back while landing from far hitting moves to roll very far away
You can also hold forward and do a kip-up kick. It's a little safer than other options, but also does very little damage, and the opponent has to be up in your grill iot get hit. You have to hold or tap forward as you hit the ground from a launch.
@@JohnDoe-wl8zk it’s usually best to just hold back. Sometimes rolling, springkick or simply staying down are better depending on the situation, but pressing back is top choice.
U should also add hold down sideroll for a wider foreground sideroll but will make u end up face down (dangerous) and same for the background except the input is tricky since u need to press the sideroll button first before holding down to do so
U forgot 2 things. U can hold f right before landing for a shorter, quicker springkick which used to give feng a full combo in 7(not sure if it's the same in 8) also some characters in 7 used to have special wake up options like alisa & dvj
Prior to Tekken 7, holding back to backroll was a horrible option cuz your opponent could refloat you. Against the wall, do not wake up backwards but instead hold up cuz your opponent can still hit you before you can guard.
Tech roll backwards. Tap back as you fall on your shoulders after being power crushed. Character does a quick back roll and gets up into guard. Thank me later. Survived many onslaughts from hyper-aggressive characters doing this.
I just lay there to see what you’re gonna do. A lot of times, the momentum of the opponent may break because they expect me to get up quick after a knock down. On the opposite end, never just lay there with me cuz you’re ass is getting Law Nunchucked lmao 😂😂😂
Since King is so popular: If you get grabbed by his Giant Swing throw, you can press 1 or 2 as you hit the ground to tech it and take less damage. This can save your life, unless you hit the wall.
You missed one hold forward on instant knockdown to do a jump up half spring kick think it’s called kip up. I use this majority of the time because players of any rank if they play aggressive they’ll run at you with a running move and can convert it into a counter hit combo.
King 2: *Angry Roars* (You took everything from the fans)!! 😠 Reina: I don't even know who they are. 🥺 [Playing Innocent] King 2: *Angry Roars* (You Will)! 😡
And also You should 90% of the time mash tech roll because if you don't sometimes your opponent can reset the combo. But remember pay attention to their style if they love oki try staying on the ground sometimes and if they try to reset the combo then techroll Also in Tekken 7 certain characters like Steve front rolls gave +10 which made it a launcher on block idk about Tekken 8 tho
I think the spring cross chop is gone in T8 because Yoshimitsu had that as well. They nerfed it by completely removing it & gave Steve & Yoshi regular spring kicks (still not used to seeing it for those guys).
Something I haven't been able to find much information about I know pressing up is the quickest way to block standing. But I'm unsure if holding Down-Back is the quickest way to crouch block or if it's press Up then Down-Back. Do you know which is faster?
Missing a lot of options, it also depends on if you are facing up or down, feet's first to the opponent or head towards opponent, even then sometimes you might end up sideways and you have to consider the time it takes to rotate after getting up either for offense or defense
And if you roll sideways you could press forward or back so you can do a 1+2 in a safe manner.. which in fact they wont teach you because its their key to winning games

2 more:
- You can roll twice on the floor
- If you press up you pass from crouched and do surprise while standing moves like WS4
