What a wonderful gifts! If it is ground venison, I use it in place of ground burger in almost everything. I just make sure I add an onion to take the "gamey" taste away and add a little moisture. (Or onion powder if your crew is adverse to actual onion). We especially like it in chili and any tomato based casserole. Good luck and have fun! Smiles, Abby Smith
We have been craving pizza burgers and I hadn't found a recipe that sounded good. Now your video comes out and yours look wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing.
Hi Jennifer and sweet family! Joe, you are just so precious. You make my day seeing your smiling face. Your meals always look delicious Jennifer. I made your pizza burgers and I used a can of Rotel since I didn’t have any tomato soup. I guess it was Mexican burgers and a little taco seasoning, so good. Peter and Maria are so happy with the salmon. It’s always good when a new recipe is family approved. I hope you and your beautiful family have a blessed day!
Hi Jennifer. Enjoyed spending time with you in the kitchen. I love vodka sauce, especially with cheese tortellini. Fingers crossed that you can fill your freezer with venison very soon. Hugs.
Jennifer, I am thinking about getting my husband a Blackstone for Christmas. Do you all use your Blackstone year-round, even during the winter? In the snow? I ask because we are in NW Iowa, and like you, we tend to get snow and cold here in the winter. So, I didn't know if the Blackstone is something we could use year-round. Thank you!
Hi Jennifer, your meals look delicious, especially the muffins. Joe is a darling Can't wait to attempt the pizza burgers. Thank you for all that you do. Almighty God bless you, and your family. 🎉❤🎉
I don't know if they still do it, but I had an elderly neighbor who received foodstamps and she got something called thrive gives? Something like that and they waved the monthly fee.
I really want to drive to Wausau right now and try to find the Portessi seasoning. And only because I know where Wausau is. Lol. Pizza burgers reminds me of my mom. And we loved her so much when she made them. ❤️
My grandmother always add, smashed pinto beans or kidney beans to her hamburger to block it up. Because beans were so cheap and it was stretch it. My papaw was a coal miner.
It was a set of 3 nesting bowls with lids from Dollar General in their spring clearance. I almost didn't buy the because I didn't want to spend the $6, but I use them constantly and love them.
You came to mind tonight when I was at Hobby Lobby and saw in their Christmas ornament section a replica of a jellied cranberry sauce can with the 'sauce' sticking up out of the top of the 'can'. It was very cute and I wondered how many people will be sending them to you this year, haha.? Would you consider adding a 'generic' version of Peter's wild game jerky sticks to the next cookbook? I used to make beef jerky with my mother-in-law's recipe but it has gotten too expensive to make. Seems like making a ground meat jerky stick would be a much more affordable treat for Hubby. Oh...maybe Peter could write his own script to film it for an episode to teach this recipe and earn school credits as well as earning some of his 'own' YT money for something he might be saving up for? From your other social media it sounds like this is such an exciting and busy time of year. Can't wait to see what you are able to share of it with us later.
Oh, that ornament sounds so cute!! Peter uses a jerky mix so he can try out all different flavors. I’ll have him do a little review of his favorites sometime.
Hi Jennifer, I've memorized my banana bread recipe and my buttercream recipe. Banana Bread I/2c. Sugar 1/2 c. Crisco Cream together. Add 1 egg. Cream that in. Mash 4 LG bananas, and add that and beat together. Then add 2 c. Flour, 1 tea. Salt, 1 tea. Baking soda. Beat well with the Danish whisk or wooden spoon. Spray 2 4x6 aluminum pans, I measure on my scale to make both even. Bake at 335° for 30 min. I like baking them at a lower temperature so it doesn't get really brown. ❤ I hope you try my recipe.
Ok so I googled the bug shellac on chocolate. It is true. So there is a type of beetle that lives on trees in southeast Asia. When the females create an eggsac to leave on the tree they stick it on using a resinous material. They chop down the trees and use the resin to create the shine on chocolate. I guess you could get grossed out by that but it's probably not to different than using honey from a bee, or bee propolis which is tree sap mixed with bee spit essentialy.
Thank you Candace. There’s a lot of things we eat that if we spent some time thinking about it would probably be gross. You’re right, it’s not that bad.
Most of my recipes are in my head, my girls have asked me to start writing them down so that’s what I started doing. If I ever lost my iPad I would be screwed. I need to start printing them.
Hi Jet I love watching you so much Joe al makes my day when he is here Love watching Maria with You also Hope God bless you With Venison to put in your freezer God bless you all much love Cathy🙏🏻✝️☮️📿❤️💐🍀🌹🍁💜💕💙🌺🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰✝️
Great video! I loved all the food and I especially appreciated the beautiful classical music too. I've been struggling since my son's diagnosis. He is 27 and has Crohn's but he was also diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis which is a rare liver disease. No cure. We are Catholic too and my son is a Lector and Eucharistic minister. He works at our Diocese too. He has incredible faith. It's good old Mom who has been falling apart. So the soothing classical music in your video really blessed me. I have a question about clothes of all things. I hear other TH-camrs talk about planning their outfits for the holidays. Do you do that?? Do you change into fancy clothes after you cook before company comes? I don't and to be honest, I never look good. I cook in tshirts and jogging pants. Lol. I'm 52 and just never worried about holiday outfits. I'd like to hear your thoughts. God bless.
Hey Jennifer! I enjoyed watching your video today! Pick and Save has a couple of deals that you might want to grab...Digital coupon for Folgers 5.99 and Digital coupon for the 2 pound (either block or shredded) Kroger cheese for 4.99. I hope this helps you out! Have a lovely day! ~Angel
from the UK - we use barley a lot in broths and stews to bulk out but I rarely see Americans use it
I love adding barley to soups, too.
My Mom always made potato pancakes with leftover mashed potatoes, nothing went to waste and we all thought they were delicious!
Same here and I do it as well. Yum!

Do you ever cook an all veggie based meal? Like veggie lasagna, grilled cheese and tomato soup, homemade mac and cheese and garden salad?
Many Fridays we will eat meatless.
🥰🇬🇧
🤍
You should cut off the green part of the onion, or on potatoes. It’s really bad for you.
Insect goo? I'll pass.
Just wanted to comment that you’re a very pretty lady :)
Oh thank you!
You’ll have to let us know when they get a deer. 🫶
