Thx again Nick, love that your not mainstream, always finding the niches 🙂
Thanks Lars, great to hear from you 👍🏼
Loved this one, and the one just before. Even more impatient to get there -> South African stuck in rainy Belgium, my heart is at the sea. As soon as I arrived in the algarve I knew I could love it
It's a stunning spot for sure!
Hi Nick, you have really gotten good with your videos. I’ve been able to visit Algarve! a couple of times since I started watching your series. This video made me feel like I was surfing with you all based on your camera shots and your mixing of your final video. Very well done, thank you.
Your videos are very helpful and full of great new ideas. Keep it up!
Thanks Jeffery, that's good to hear 👍🏼
Awesome video ! I spent the day in Sagres area and will have to head to Burgau tomorrow after watching your new video
You'll have to John. Not much going on there right now though.
A bottle of rosé on the terras of beachbar Burgau in the wintersun around 13.00 is pretty close to perfection and proves you CAN buy happyness :-)
Thats a beautiful picture Guido!
Loved going to burgau from luz when we are there in the family apartment love your blog about Portugal very informative you can not get lost in Portugal with people like you
Heheh, thanks DGW 😎👍🏼
Brilliant film, looked fabulous.
Thanks Susan, it was a lot of fun to produce.
Perfect place to stay! Look at that sunrise 😍 also the food looked soooo good! You've given us even more reason to return to Portugal!!
It's the perfect place! 😎👍🏼
Awesome camera work as always
Cheers mate, always good to hear from you. 👍🏼
Very nice video Nick, thx! Gave me a start point for my trip in February, will check out Oceanblue and the paddling 😊✌️
Yeah it's wonderful paddleboarding out there.
Great video Nick! I loved Lucy's comment.. 10 minute walk.. 4 minute run but we always drive. Hahaha
Many hard core surfers to be wearing heavy warm jacket and in the cold water the next minute. I would have skipped that and did a bike ride or a run.
Looks like an amazing place, not my style to live there but certainly to spend some time enjoying the amazing beaches and country side.
Thanks for watching Larry 👍🏼
My favourite one so far. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much Emilie, it's so good to get encouragement!👍🏼
Stunning footage Nick, enjoying life in paradise..Hopefully, if & when life in the world settles down (?) I will make a journey to the Algarve... Merry Christmas & Happy, healthy New Year!
Thanks for watching Brian 👍🏼
Excellent presentation, valuable info. Thank you. We’re completing our voyage eastwards from Tavira to the Portuguese/Spanish border using the train later this year.
Enjoy it Stermin👍🏼
Great video. Thx.
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼
wow so nice, and not crowded
Absolutely. Although it fills up a little in summer.
@@AlgarveAddicts I was surprised how long they had a dictatorship. Good to hear there are more opportunities for people to enjoy benefits from their property or business post 1990s. My dad has a niece that married a Portuguese man, both who were in cruise ship work.
Whoop. Amazing. That list on email will be much appreciated. Any videos on scuba diving or spearfishing also welcome.
Hi Anita, videos on diving are probably not that likely, sorry ☺️
So, the dinosaur footprints are on the beach and not on top of the cliffs. It's a flat rock best seen on low tide. Secret youtube tip: you can actually paddle more west (about 300 yards) and find more remote footsteps on the rocky shoreline. Pretty cool
Cheers for that Seb!!
Great video. I really like how you utilize Google Earth in your videos.
Thanks Craig, I'm glad you enjoyed it 👍🏼
Need to take it easy with those pastel de nata. looking a bit chuby :D
I love Salema! 😍 I visited the beach there several times this summer. But I wasn’t so impressed with Burgau. Salema is much more beautiful and special.
Yes, they're pretty different places and to be honest, Burgau could do with an amazing beach restaurant. However it's definitely quaint in its own way.
I loved the video! Great job! 😊
Thanks B!
On the other side of Burgau beach is a great beach restaurant!
Which side Hanneke?
Salema was discovered by Rick steves years ago. Actually. If you know him. He highly recommended it.
I don't know him personally but his videos are legendary.
@@AlgarveAddicts yes that’s what I meant sorry. I for some reason don’t love his work. His business has collapsed since covid.
Nick , my first 3 years here … I’ve been using three inflatable SUP’s (two Jobe and one Decathalon ) …
However , they are really bad for the “quick” type surf you illustrated in the first few moments. (It’s too noisy with the 12v pump and too slow with a hand pump)
May I kindly ask what boards do you have ? Any recommendations? Thanks 🙏
Hey Max, sure I have a 9'8" NSP board I use for sup surfing and a couple of race boards plus a Decathlon inflatable for friends. It's easy to inflate in about 5 minutes and is a great part of the workout.
Staying at Selena now, amazing place
Yes! I love that place, where are you staying?
Selema beach village, I’m at the apartments right at the end of the driveway there
Excellent, enjoy it!
How many times have you been to the algarve?
Me? I live here...
Please tell me if people in Portugal have felt coerced or expected to vaccinate?
Hi Caren, yes we pretty much have. It's really tough to go into a cinema or a restaurant without a vaccine. You can get a PCR test 48 hours before though, although it's tough to book them as you need to get a certified one through a pharmacy.
Caren, don’t lose heart. We maybe in the minority but there are more of us than you might think.
They achieved Europes' highest vax rate because they don't have many stupid people
Looks like my kind of place, but very similar to California.
Nothing wrong with that is there? ☺️
I’m from Cali! I want Portugal. Hehe! I’ll definitely add it to my check out list.
@@AlgarveAddicts well it depends. In terms of politics, California is awful
Oh dear, let's not get into politics 😳
Peace and love, only!
I wonder what it's like to be vegetarian and living in Portugal?
It's definitely possible! There are always vegetarian options and tons of fresh veggies.
@@AlgarveAddicts Thanks, that's reassuring.
Wow. Weird. No masks by servers and cooks at the restaurant? That's illegal in Portugal at the moment.
💯
keep it secret!!!! keep it safe.... ;)
nice nick, you didn't bring not my girlfriend this time , 😊
Hahaha, who is your girlfriend?
Just buy inland faro. best bang for your buck.
In
Capitalism Crushes the Algarve
Don't buy to far west. too god damn windy and miserable.
It does get a but wilder further west, but it depends on what you're looking for.
