I showed my wife your way of harvesting капусту. We intentionally grow a smaller cabbage than yours, so maybe it doesn't matter as much, but we had never seen it done like that. We'll try it your way in next year's garden.
If you want to go all perfect regarding stacking the fire wood, you should leave 2-5cm (1 inch or 2) space between the wall and the wood so air can circulate behind it and keep it as dry as possible.

The firewood looks good. Well seasoned. Will burn quite nicely. My parent live in the Ozarks in Missouri. They use a very old wood stove. Every fall its woodstacking time. It takes a lot of wood to heat a home for the winter! Good luck!👍😺

Hi Nastinka, sei froh das ihr in einem Dorf wohnt, ruhiger und freier geht es nicht, ich bin regelmäßig in Moskau bei meiner Frau, aber nach einer Woche in Moskau muss ich raus aus der Stadt, dann fahre ich auf die Datscha in der Nähe von Twer, auch ein kleines Dorf und dort genieße ich auch das Dorf Leben.🥰🥰 komme im Dezember wieder nach Russland und hoffe das ich jetzt endlich die Aufenthaltsgenehmigung bekomme.
....oh...das wünsche ich Ihnen auch.....ich kann davon nur träumen..

It's definitely a different way of life. I had a similar experience in a small eastern European village growing up, everything is simpler more natural. Sometimes for the better while other times for the worse.

At 70 years old, this reminds me of my grandmother and grandfather on their small ranch. Life was simple, a struggle as you know, but the quality of life is much healthier in my opinion. Working 60 hours a week to pay the bills does not leave enough time to appreciate life.

In Canada, special 'briquettes' may be referred to as simply 'fire logs' and are bought in a store. They do burn well and a bit longer than wood, but can be expensive. There are also 'pellet stoves' which require compressed wood pellets be fed automatically into a special stove. They are convenient and give good heat, but stove and pellets are expensive. Personally, buy my wood as price is similar to energy costs. But cut it myself when possible.

Nasťo, jsi šikovná holka, dobře vaříš, pečeš, jen drobná rada. Pokud to byl pečící papír tak nemusíš vymazávat. Já to tak dělám. Papír nemačkám, jen aby pěkné držel na plechu tak trochu přetřu vodou. Koláč byl určitě dobrý, děláš mi chutě.. také ho udělám 👍💕🙋
