I was surprised to hear that “all” eggs in the US are pasteurized, so I decided to look it up. According to the USDA website, only 3% of eggs in the shell are pasteurized. However, all egg products removed from their shells are required to be pasteurized. So, I’m so glad you used pasteurized eggs for this ice cream. BTW, love your videos. ❤
Hi Pam, Thank you for honouring that special 11yr old, you did a great job explaining everything....very eloquent. May the good Lord bless you and your family. P.S...you have very healthy and very beautiful skin...goes along with your beauty.....

My husband and I just made root beer floats last night. We were shocked by how hard it is today to get ice cream that has only four or five simple whole food ingredients. We both prefer the taste and texture of that old fashioned ice cream. It just tastes better to us! I do have a big KitchenAid attachment that i've never used and have looked at the ninja ice cream maker but didn't want another counter top appliance. This will be perfect for me and my husband! So glad your younger viewer came up with a great request that benefits your older viewers too! And this is also just the reason I needed to pull out my vanilla beans and make some strong homemade vanilla extract.
Hi Pam, you are such a kind person. Caster Sugar is readily available in Australia, not sure why the US does not stock it. Still it’s easy to make your own. I hope one day your kindness will come back to you!
