- Is it possible to travel around Tokyo on a budget of ¥2000 ($15)/day? In this video, we're going to find out! Alex and Chris will need to use ¥2000 for a full day of travel, including sightseeing, transport, lunch and dinner. The winner is the one with the best, most interesting itinerary at the end. You bet there will be free parks and museums, lots of convenience store food and some budget chain restaurants!

“it Coffee” just by daikanyama station. If you’re after some good spots near by, check out Sidewalk Coffee, Omnibus Coffee and Streamer Coffee in Nakameguro

I like the idea of a picnic in the park, but it would be too hot in late July, early August, right? I would imagine so.
Yes it can be quite hot in those months so it's best to not spend prolonged periods outside.

I don't know, you guys seem to have teleported to a couple places. I mean, your starting points, how did you get there, on foot? How did you get to Shibuya? And how do you get back to your lodgings after the day is over? All of that has to figure into the budget, since you have to spend it just the same.
Good question! The area covered is between Shinjuku and Shibuya, which is a popular spot for people to stay. Chris’s itinerary covered the larger distance, but included a train trip from Shinjuku to Ebisu. For both itineraries, getting back the start point would involve a walk of 20-50mins or an extra ¥150-¥170 train fare
