When you turned the page to the peonies, it took my breath away! Seriously! Not only one of my fav flowers but always reminds me of my grandma. She grew the most beautiful peonies! 🩷
I loved the sketchbook tour! You were the first artist I started watching a year ago. Ive learned do much but will probably be as good and thats ok. I enjoy putting paint to paper. You're a little hard on yourself. I think every page was great. I loved the daisys in the jar, the peonies and rulips...& so many more. Thank you for sharing your talent. ❤
I absolutely loved your sketchbook tour, Emma. Your commentary was especially helpful in you pointing out what worked and what didn’t. Your comment that not every painting needs to be a masterpiece really hit home. I paint flowers almost exclusively so this was right up my alley. So many favorites. Loved the peony bouquet, your tulips from the tulip farm, and the pink poppies. Will definitely go thru this again. And I am adding your flower guide book to my library. Thanks for doing this. Love to see more.
Your roses next to your daisies are my favorite, such a beautiful book I’m thinking I’d like one book just for flowers they are awesome. 😊 thanks for the tour. 😊
I loved seeing your sketchbook tour especially as I have just started keeping a watercolor journal just for me. Not worrying about whether my work ever makes it to someone's wall or onto a card is a challenge for me. Seeing your "mistakes" and how they help you learn is inspirational.Your color sense is super. You are by far my favorite go-to u-tuber for watercolor flowers. You obviously love them as do I. Keep up the great work my dear Emma!
I enjoyed this sketchbook tour!! You inspired me to go back to the Flower Color Guide and Jillian Boon for inspiration. I'm interested in joining your Patreon when fall begins and life settles down.
Loved your idea of creating a journal with one theme - I love flowers and glass bottles /jars - I am going to create that myself - thank you for the inspiration - also, I loved most of your flowers..
Really liked your sketch book ‘tour’. The ‘out of the norm’ color combos are very inspiring. Thx for sharing. I’ve learned so so much from you and have become a lifetime fan. 🎨🖌️🌸
Wonderful sketchbook tour! I do remember watching a few tutorials from this sketchbook. My favorite from this tour was the two spread pages of different tulips you painted after visiting a tulip farm. I live near Holland Michigan where they celebrate a tulip festival every spring, and your tulips brought back some memories. PS: I love Jillian Boon as well and have learned so much from her tutorials!
So many lovely creations to choose from! The peonies are pretty, so are the lilies. What I love the most are your unusual colour palettes, especially the burgundy, autumny one ❤
Hi Emma, I really enjoyed the tour of your sketchbook! I loved the pink flowers, the tulips and the peonies!❤all the flowers were interesting and very pretty! Thank you for sharing. Helene
Wow Emma, I've been following you for so many years, since when you had under 4000 subscribers actually!! I am so impressed with your incredible progress. It's so interesting to see how your style has changed from very loose to almost more realistic and botanical (I'm nooo expert, so what I'm saying is my impression with zero education) - I just love everything you do and your style and your kindness in sharing. I loved this video so much. I don't often comment, but watch every single video. Thanks a million from a Grandma from South Africa.
Thanks for sharing. I’m a beginner artist and enjoy watercolor painting. I bought a scratch book but keep waiting until I “get better” to paint in it. I don’t know what I am waiting for. The fact that you didn’t like all your paintings in your book encourages me to go ahead and start my scratch book journey. It’s ok that I may not like them all. Btw, I especially liked the jar of daisies.
This is what the book is for. Your beginning watercolor then you can see how much you processed in your color theory and how you paint your different flowers. I think that's the best thing about having a Sketch book. Yeah some things you may not like but you can take what you did and change how you did it. 😊JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸.
Thank you for sharing your sketchbook with us , I really enjoyed it ❤. I am currently trying to paint peonies after watching your tutorial of the peonies in the vase. I love, love ,love this painting. Coincidentally I have my copy of the flower colour guide sitting right next to me as I watched this video lol😂. I had just finished put markers in most of the peony references! Thank you again ❤.
I loved all the ones you didn't so much! Lol and I have a sketch book that I'm trying to be chill with filling but the perfectionism for a sketchbook specifically gets me. I'm more of an individual paper kind of girl I think lol.
Love all of your paintings in this book! I’m too afraid to get one because I’m afraid that I’ll mess something up in it 😅 hope to be as talented as you one day! Keep doing these 😊
Thank you for the tour. I love how you paint. I think you do a great job. It's nice to be able to paint different types of flowers 💐. Keeps it interesting 😊. JK FLORIDA USA 🇺🇸.
That was fun to see. Loved the daffodils and tulips. Can you put a note in the description area for sketchbooks that size? I have sketchbooks that are smaller, and they work. But there are times when I wish I had used a bigger sketchbook, which I currently don't have.
I love sketch book look through and always looking for a good sketch book. What was the nsme of your? I could not understand what you said the name was and looking at the transcript did not help.
Artists are notoriously hard on themselves. Some never find true peace or joy looking back at one of their pieces. Which I think is not just unfair, but even harmful to ourselves. We should give thanks that we are ABLE to create whatever it is we do (anything we do) and be kind to ourselves. Love is what matters and we must love ourselves and even as (especially) we are growing and learning new things, we can love the process and love where we are in our own journey *that day*. Tomorrow is always a new day for maybe another surprise or beautiful reward for putting paint to paper (or hands to clay, pencil to pad, what ever your passion and skill may be) - enjoy every step of your journey as you explore and become more proficient and definitely pat yourself on the back for doing it, no matter how you think it turned out.😊 just my two cents 😉 Enjoy the ride! 🙏🏼
I have your brushes and your book. I'm struggling with blank white paper. I need to just get out a sketchbook and paint, but I feel like I'm wasting paper.😢 How do I get over this as a beginner? I must be OCD.
When you turned the page to the peonies, it took my breath away! Seriously! Not only one of my fav flowers but always reminds me of my grandma. She grew the most beautiful peonies! 🩷

Your all painting are very amazing plzzz give us any one flower 's tutorial plzzzz plzzzzz
What's the brand of this sketchbook and where did you buy it, Emma?
What exactly does the term "painting loosely" mean? I hear a lot of people say this, but I don't understand what they mean.
I am very much a beginner and while other people like my work or compliment me, I almost hate everything I make. When will I find my faith in myself?

Change your mindset! Remember the biggest waste of supplies are those that are not used! Use your stuff and have no fear!
Emma is your Etcher lab book cold or hot press?
