48:17 ...this reminds me of one of my recent favorite quotes from eartha kitt: “I fall in love with myself, and I want someone to share it with me. And I want someone to share me, with me.” thank you all for choosing to love yourselves, day by day, piece by piece, fully + authentically, + showing your reflection with us. excited for the upcoming episodes!
Thanks for the great topic and discussion! ❤ I feel like everyone should aspire to come out the closet, but depending on the situation they’re in it may not be something they can do anytime soon.
Please explore LR and his use of language. For me to get to Rock and Roll, you had to electrify the Blues, and the language landscape of the Blues is so important to American expression. Also - as a Queer Black man you can see how our OG uncle was a Kiki on every late night show, in every moment on camera or on stage - just coining one expression after another, playing with language, ever quotable. In these times he would be a viral sensation on Tik Tok every post every day. I can imagine the magic of a conversation between LR and late great Mother Peppa Labeija, or if he ever got into contact with the Ballroom children - and a House of Richard. P.S. Please consider featuring Sylvester. They are an ancestor of ours who is overlooked, honestly the heir to Little Richard of the disco era.
I’m young right now I’m and just trying to figure myself all out and I appreciate videos like these so much. I tried thinking of queer people who inspired me and I was having some trouble because of how new everything is to me and then I thought, people like you inspire me and make me feel seen. Little bits of media and essays, the people that have done them inspire me so much :)
So glad you found us! Really appreciate that we get to help in our own way through these conversations and sharing our stories. We're rooting for you, you got this! ❤
Jordan’s Mom, Aunts and Uncles all graduated from Trenton High. He went to McCorristin Catholic High School, which is now Trenton Catholic Academy. Small world! ❤

Yes! He’s going to be a legend. Definitely need him in the tributes!
It crazy how New Yorkers have roommates and this people who make good money. That’s so not common down south. I But the rent is outrageous in NYC

The Architect for girl pop artist would be Deon Warwick. Then reconstructed by Janet Jackson.
