    Like the video style. Seems very straightforward nothing fancy like editing. Just straight information and education. I immediately just knew to trust you like you knew what your talking about from the first few seconds.

    After researching this pricy sneakers, the general consensus is that they do run large. I wear a 8 or 8.5 in Nike and Adidas. I sized down to a 7 (40 Common Projects) and they fit me just right. I would recommend that you size DOWN or you will regret it.

    • @soundsoserious
      @soundsoserious  ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate the insight! They certainly run narrow…but length was good for me with my usual size 12/45.

    Well done - glad to see someone who gets the fact that those cringy alternatives won’t cut it !! People complain & completely overlook the design the innovation of when they first came about almost 20 years ago now Common Projects is OG either get it or don’t pay money to copycats koio, oliver or whatever stay subtle stay true ❤

    I got mine from farfetch for only 200USD during sale, and it’s the white version #506.

    Tried them all, have pairs of all different brands: Koio, Artisan Labs, Olive Cabell, etc. I always return to the common projects, nothing can be this even though the quality is quite poor, I had to replace mine after 2 years since they were quite beaten up.
    I noticed you change the lace pattern, do you feel it creases less that way?

    • @soundsoserious
      @soundsoserious  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wear mine with a thin insole and this lace pattern. I don’t think it affects creasing but improves comfort for me. Regarding quality my experience is opposite, I find them very well made compared to the competition. Mine are about 2-3 years old at this point and they have held up really well. Some maintenance goes a long way…my routine is pretty basic and I made a video about how I clean and care for them. Might be of interest?

    • @CrappyProducts
      @CrappyProducts ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@soundsoserious Yeah, I'm very careful with mine. I routinely clean them, condition them and all that, but the paint didn't stay long, they get rugged quite easily

      @soundsoserious  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CrappyProducts Good point, but…two things: even in beat-up condition they can still be sold for $100+ AND they look even better beat up! Lol, sorry I just love these shoes. 😂

      @@soundsoserious Don't get me wrong, I love them too, it's just I don't feel they're great quality for example compared to Artisan Lab, however I still find them to be the most comfortable and stylish. I just bought a fresh pair yesterday 😃

    As much as I love the look of common projects, I personally didn't find them very comfortable. The soles are rock solid, with barely any cushioning and i'm surprised it doesn't get mentioned more in review.
    Fine as a dressier sneaker for an event or something but as a daily driver, I'm going to look elsewhere.

    • @soundsoserious
      @soundsoserious  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very good point. My wife doesn’t like her pair for the same reason. I actually wear mine with an insole and it helps a lot. I use these as a vacation sneaker. It’s a terrific “one shoe” to take on a trip (especially a city trip) and it works for any situation. Check out my newer cleaning and maintenance video for more CP content.

  • @shingwun
    @shingwun ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I got it, I mean it’s clean, but I would’ve expected more for the materials I guess. But there’s way more expensive “white” sneakers from Gucci, lv, givenchy and they have more or so similar or slightly better materials than the common projects. I like mine tho. Hella clean with a suit in important occasions where black dress shoes ain’t needed

    • @soundsoserious
      @soundsoserious  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great point. There are certainly more expensive white sneakers you can buy (and many more cheaper ones). I’d argue these are “the” white sneakers though. And while Gucci, etc. make a great shoe; these unassuming CP’s are the uniform for smart casual or dressy or relaxed or travel or whatever the occasion. Wear them to your wedding, wear them to take the trash out. And if they’re in the same convo as Gucci, etc. aren’t they kind of a bargain?
