It seems to me that at this point Gaijin is trying to milk the game and kill it off. I think they realized that War Thunder will stay their Main Cash cow for at least this decade, so their are using their other titles as Experimental playgrounds on how far you can screw people without them just quiting the game.
Important detail: People HATE uncertainty, especially if they are forced to take a risk even before the uncertainty starts. If players already have to force themselves to click the any-nation-button and suffer that uncertainty, the last thing they will tolerate is even more uncertainty of how much they will actually get: The lousy 20% or ... 25, 30? That's not how you convince people to do something unpleasant. Enlisted needs a FLAT bonus of 40-50% for joining any faction for this system to work.
1 silver per 100 research points. So you'll only get 10k silver for a million research points. What a joke. Not to mention you can only save 25k research points. That's some BS for real.

I actually found enlisted bc I was looking for a heroes and generals kind of game. I played HG years ago and I remember enjoying it. Nothing crazy happened while I played it, I just moved on to other games. Went back to play HG after getting a new pc and coyldnt even find it. Going to look up heroes and generals now to see what happened

I get that they want to get you to buy stuff, but I don't think they realize they aren't getting people to buy stuff right away. My guess is that the people who actually buy stuff and pay DF's bills are the folks who have played the game for a long time. If you want good things you have to give some good things as well. But what do I know, I'm no game designer. I worry for this game. The game play itself is loads of fun, but most of the community is annoying and the people in charge make bizarre decisions.

Squad 44 and HLL are technically better games only held back by not injecting microtransaction models gaijin isnt afraid to implement. Getting more HLL and S44 players into enlisted would be the clear goal so they'll monetise an entire fandom like they've done with warthunder

I remember the game had this really weird graphical glitch where things would go glitchy rainbow textures & they fixed it within a couple days & people were complaining like crazy.

These changes are not nearly enough. In fact, it barely increases silver rewards for the people who need it the most: new players. New players probably aren’t getting many hero of the battle awards, can’t afford to play random nations because unlocking stuff for one nation alone takes enough time already, and obviously new players aren’t going to have a fully researched tree to get that pitiful silver rate from research points. Disappointing.

Plus BR2 premiums should be included in cheap starter packs, DF idiots removed premiums from starter packs and only give players basic guns+medkit and that's it. What a scam.
Proposed changes need to be tweaked, but Id rather say lower upgrade prices to help new players. They should be able to just play the game the way they want (e.g. exclude maps) and come around with the silver they get. No need to further boost the veterans silver gain by a lot.
I’ll say it again, enlisted sucks, because the development team sucks. There is no hope for enlisted to be a fun game if the development team does not focus on the real core problem, which is the progression system and economy system. Edit: If the progression and economy system gets re-worked in a way that is not completely braindead, I would happily “re-enlist” to enlisted. (Pun intended)
Good point on purchasing high tier soldiers. I am currently sitting at 1.5 million silver but I still refrain from purchasing high tier soldiers. I have the lower tier soldiers with max perk points. But I fear going bankrupt in the game while trying to get 6 perfectly rolled Rifleman IIIs for my full auto rifleman squad.
Sad that the only way I made any silver was by selling my rank 3-4 soldiers when the merge happened. Can’t imagine starting fresh and only earning 500 to 1,000 silver.
I think we all know eother the devs or higher ups are hopeless and incompotent. The grind is anti-new comer, as well the grind is annoying most of the time. I said it before what would fix the silver issue would be either a increase in how much you earn by playing objectives/pluing a role: build rallies, building stuff in general, but DF is greedy & stupid, same reason their first steam release was a joke. They SERIOUSLY need to focus on 3 things and leave everything else alone until these 3 CORE things are finally fixed: 1-AI bots 2-BR matchmaking/campaign picking 3-Currency earning/the grind
If this happens I will be forced to uninstall stop playing and moving on. It is the principle here and the thought behind it. Shame they roll out 2-3 good updates, they re-enter the Steam scene and now this. I can’t believe it!!
I watched a couple videos on enlisted, and thought, ok, it’s free to play, but monetized. Can’t hurt to try. Ended up uninstalling almost immediately. I just was not having fun, not at all. I found zero reason to try to buy a weapon or upgrades bc I was pretty sure it would not help me do better in the game. Especially how expensive the stuff was. I immediately uninstalled hoping malware from the program didn’t remain on my computer.

I got 1 assaulter squad, maxed, with around half of their m3a1 being maxed. It cost me 120k silver... 10k is a drop in the bloody ocean (Edit 2) - What Darkflow doesn't get is... Enlisted is NOT War Thunder. If enlisted gets super greedy, you can just play any other fps, the most oversaturated market ever. If WT gets greedy, you complaign on the subreddit and then renew premium. (Edit 3) Regarding Join any team, - I hate playing Soviets specifically, i just think their weapons are not fun to play and very (no offense) braindead. The first smg that isn't some variation of full auto laser beam with low damage is the god damn fedorov...If I could just pick joining Burgers or Jerries randomly, maybe Japanese too, i'd gladly use that function. Another thing - more experienced players don't pick play any team because of the opportunity cost of not grinding their main, so just give universal xp I dont know

It’s always blown my mind that when you PAY for a new soldier you then have to PAY for their class specific weapon. I’m not saying give my rank 1 medic a br5 smg but fuck at least give me a br1 smg it’s wack imo (sorry if I’m wrong about that I’m commenting out of anger and will not be fact checking myself)
Silver conversion rate should be 10 xp for 1 silver. Join any faction should give 50% more xp. 25k limit is reasonable the excess xp function only serves as a way to be able to freely reallocate your excess xp after you complete a level NOT to instantly unlock new stuff by one click taking away the feeling of actually grinding for new update content. Converting everything to silver is the much more lucrative option because your then able to pay the huge amount of silver to upgrade weapons and soldiers.
Had to stop playing after garbage map rotations, id play as Germans for a couple games and never get to play DDay, then switch to American and get forced to play DDay for 12 games in a row like fuk off
i've been grinding Germans for a month or 2 straight and the games i play we win like 60 percent against Americans but for the few times we lose it by a landslide idk if it cause new people go Americans or because i've played a lot and i'm good but it doesn't seem to me at least Americans are broke 6:53 but yes this announcement is the most TROLL thing i've seen in fat minute from enlisted
I had like 130k silver from random legacy stuff I had (I was closed beta tester but didn't play an insane amount) and I finally came back when they added the tech tree and BR system. Now, it is a game I enjoy and can actually grind. By the time I had the M1 carbine in America, I had like 0 silver and have been hovering between 3k and 10k ever since.
I wonder if they are killing the game on purpose? I can't think of any other reason to make such decisions. Para , do you like war thunder? Maybe you could diversify your content with other games because I'm not sure Enlisted will be here in the next couple years.
ill start showing some other games i played over the last years that i HIGHLY recommend, though atm ive got too much strategy stuff to complete for enlisted. beginning of 2025 ill expand. eg i will instantly promote the return to castle wolfenstein remake, once its finally finished (been waiting since 3 years for that to happen); one of the best games ever and enlisted players will love it 100%
@@Dregomz02 from the small bits ive seen graphically it looks amazing, improves some game mechanics but stays mostly close to the original. basically a perfect light weight improvement to let the game keep up with modern graphics. the insanely well made atmosphere remains.
It will also send you into lost matches 70-90% of the time so you will get even less silver on average. Remember you get +50% xp/silver if you win. So it doesn't solve anything.

im a f2p i had like 280k recently then spent like 70k on stuff for the German tree on weapons and soldiers when i was grinding out the western allies f2p i had like 315k silver i have been playing since the very start of December in 2023 so all in all 295 hourse

So I'm a new player (my account is pre-merge, but I had played exactly 33 minutes as a german and 27 as a russian, back when the game released.) I've started ten days ago, and played.. Well a bit too much, so it flaws my point a bit but well. First of all, the silver gains is an issue, definetly more so for a new player, there is no denying that. But i'd like to address a couple of things : Getting medals really isn't that hard in my opinion, I average 3 with pilots / attackers / my main squad, and I can easily get more if I play a bit differently (found out that the tactician one in tier 1 is absurdly easy to get with a couple of sandbags and barbed wires.) I agree that the cap is dumb though, or rather I find the 100 silver a bit low? Keep one and increase the other, or remove the cap could be good. Regarding the join any team; I've actually started playing the US before having a long streak of japanese matches, was fed up with the pacific, which made me level up the germans up to tier 2(pain) and then, realizing I had 33% winrate and was effectively halving my silver gain (which I'm in DIRE NEED of), I got up to tier 2 soviet. The advantage, as a (decent) new player, for me, would be that I don't really care about which faction I level up at the moment if it's not a guaranteed defeat, as I got lineups ready for each factions besides japan, and by now, know what I need to focus in order to be effective. For the record, my winrates are : Germany : 33.96% US : 66.67% Soviets : 81.97% (the games are literally winning themselves and the PPS42 is the most broken thing I've seen.) I actually really wanted to play germany, but I just can't accept the fact I'll lose 2 in 3 games, r e g a r d l e s s of how HARD I try to get the win. The system they propose would probably let me play them often, and, with more experienced players than I am rn, evening that WR, and so, my gains, on top of the 20% bonus, and the odd chance of playing a nation I can actually shred in with upgraded guns, namely, the soviets and the US.
It's cool to see a new player seeing issue with economy and balancing - USSR smgs are just busted and you get BR4 smg power at BR2 with the PPS-42 which is better than PPS-43 because it has less of a recoil and is a laser, PPSh-41 box is better than any Axis smg they don't even have a good equivalent of that at BR5 since Kiraly shoots slower, only MP717(r) but only Veterans have that. I haven't lost a single game as the Soviets in past 4 days it's that bad nobody wants to play as the Germans since they have been neglected for so long and Sov/usa got all new powerful toys, balance at top tier is even worse.
@@Dregomz02 Literally busted gun yeah, I haven't even researched the pps43 yet so I can't compare them, but I've taken them in tier V because I wanted to take out my white IS-2 (city 3 cap battle, grave mistake!) and it literally had a better TTK than STGs and the likes. And it doesn't help, although it's apparently a "recent" issue, that tier 2 ussr is facing waves of bots 3 out of 4 games. I've literally sat in a single house, peeking from different windows each time, for 5 minutes, on that one map with a big hill before a small wooden village thing. I went up to something like a 35+ kills streak, and it really just felt kinda awful. The sten gun kinda gives me the same vibe btw, though in a way less busted way, I feel like the damage dropoff isn't high enough to justify using higher damage weapons with "lower" ttk (I still LOVE the BAR and the DP-27 though, it's a shame the meta seems to be way more SMG focused than LMGs.)
@@Kojakofthelake i have researched everything in the game for all nations with exception of a single JP tank and trust me PPS-42 is better than PPS-43 due the less of a recoil and less dispersion. It's super op and as you just said it can fight in uptiers no problem.

The new extra xp for silver is a disgrace and conversion rate is god awfull no way they can implement that without giving people the choice

(Edit 3) Regarding Join any team, - I hate playing Soviets specifically, i just think their weapons are not fun to play and very (no offense) braindead. The first smg that isn't some variation of full auto laser beam with low damage is the god damn fedorov...If I could just pick joining Burgers or Jerries randomly, maybe Japanese too, i'd gladly use that function.

It’s always blown my mind that when you PAY for a new soldier you then have to PAY for their class specific weapon. I’m not saying give my rank 1 medic a br5 smg but fuck at least give me a br1 smg it’s wack imo (sorry if I’m wrong about that I’m commenting out of anger and will not be fact checking myself)
Silver conversion rate should be 10 xp for 1 silver. Join any faction should give 50% more xp. 25k limit is reasonable the excess xp function only serves as a way to be able to freely reallocate your excess xp after you complete a level NOT to instantly unlock new stuff by one click taking away the feeling of actually grinding for new update content. Converting everything to silver is the much more lucrative option because your then able to pay the huge amount of silver to upgrade weapons and soldiers.
Had to stop playing after garbage map rotations, id play as Germans for a couple games and never get to play DDay, then switch to American and get forced to play DDay for 12 games in a row like fuk off

i've been grinding Germans for a month or 2 straight and the games i play we win like 60 percent against Americans but for the few times we lose it by a landslide idk if it cause new people go Americans or because i've played a lot and i'm good but it doesn't seem to me at least Americans are broke 6:53 but yes this announcement is the most TROLL thing i've seen in fat minute from enlisted
I had like 130k silver from random legacy stuff I had (I was closed beta tester but didn't play an insane amount) and I finally came back when they added the tech tree and BR system.
Now, it is a game I enjoy and can actually grind.
By the time I had the M1 carbine in America, I had like 0 silver and have been hovering between 3k and 10k ever since.

ill start showing some other games i played over the last years that i HIGHLY recommend, though atm ive got too much strategy stuff to complete for enlisted. beginning of 2025 ill expand. eg i will instantly promote the return to castle wolfenstein remake, once its finally finished (been waiting since 3 years for that to happen); one of the best games ever and enlisted players will love it 100%

@@Dregomz02 from the small bits ive seen graphically it looks amazing, improves some game mechanics but stays mostly close to the original. basically a perfect light weight improvement to let the game keep up with modern graphics. the insanely well made atmosphere remains.

Join any team also 4x the grind you have to do as now you need good army’s at all nations so it’s worthless
It will also send you into lost matches 70-90% of the time so you will get even less silver on average. Remember you get +50% xp/silver if you win. So it doesn't solve anything.

I like how the devs use exlemation marks at the end of sentences which state actual bs news. like they are trying to sugar coate the news just a little cuz the know how bad it sounds and is. its really funny tbh lol. Also i feel like the devs were actually rebuilding the trust of players. Like the steam release finally didnt implode, the events are pretty good, and they seemed to be doing better, but then 'THIS' happened. huurrrghhhh. as a person who has made vids on enlisted before (im kind of like major mcdonalds in the way that I havent really been uploading for some months), i am having second thoughts on playing the game. Its always 1 step foreward, 2 steps back.

im a f2p i had like 280k recently then spent like 70k on stuff for the German tree on weapons and soldiers when i was grinding out the western allies f2p i had like 315k silver i have been playing since the very start of December in 2023 so all in all 295 hourse

So I'm a new player (my account is pre-merge, but I had played exactly 33 minutes as a german and 27 as a russian, back when the game released.)
I've started ten days ago, and played.. Well a bit too much, so it flaws my point a bit but well.
First of all, the silver gains is an issue, definetly more so for a new player, there is no denying that.
But i'd like to address a couple of things :
Getting medals really isn't that hard in my opinion, I average 3 with pilots / attackers / my main squad, and I can easily get more if I play a bit differently (found out that the tactician one in tier 1 is absurdly easy to get with a couple of sandbags and barbed wires.)
I agree that the cap is dumb though, or rather I find the 100 silver a bit low? Keep one and increase the other, or remove the cap could be good.
Regarding the join any team;
I've actually started playing the US before having a long streak of japanese matches, was fed up with the pacific, which made me level up the germans up to tier 2(pain) and then, realizing I had 33% winrate and was effectively halving my silver gain (which I'm in DIRE NEED of), I got up to tier 2 soviet.
The advantage, as a (decent) new player, for me, would be that I don't really care about which faction I level up at the moment if it's not a guaranteed defeat, as I got lineups ready for each factions besides japan, and by now, know what I need to focus in order to be effective.
For the record, my winrates are :
Germany : 33.96%
US : 66.67%
Soviets : 81.97% (the games are literally winning themselves and the PPS42 is the most broken thing I've seen.)
I actually really wanted to play germany, but I just can't accept the fact I'll lose 2 in 3 games, r e g a r d l e s s of how HARD I try to get the win. The system they propose would probably let me play them often, and, with more experienced players than I am rn, evening that WR, and so, my gains, on top of the 20% bonus, and the odd chance of playing a nation I can actually shred in with upgraded guns, namely, the soviets and the US.
I just started Germany a couple weeks ago I’m like 45% and have to play extra hard compared to Japan/ussr
It's cool to see a new player seeing issue with economy and balancing - USSR smgs are just busted and you get BR4 smg power at BR2 with the PPS-42 which is better than PPS-43 because it has less of a recoil and is a laser, PPSh-41 box is better than any Axis smg they don't even have a good equivalent of that at BR5 since Kiraly shoots slower, only MP717(r) but only Veterans have that. I haven't lost a single game as the Soviets in past 4 days it's that bad nobody wants to play as the Germans since they have been neglected for so long and Sov/usa got all new powerful toys, balance at top tier is even worse.
@@Dregomz02 Literally busted gun yeah, I haven't even researched the pps43 yet so I can't compare them, but I've taken them in tier V because I wanted to take out my white IS-2 (city 3 cap battle, grave mistake!) and it literally had a better TTK than STGs and the likes.
And it doesn't help, although it's apparently a "recent" issue, that tier 2 ussr is facing waves of bots 3 out of 4 games.
I've literally sat in a single house, peeking from different windows each time, for 5 minutes, on that one map with a big hill before a small wooden village thing. I went up to something like a 35+ kills streak, and it really just felt kinda awful.
The sten gun kinda gives me the same vibe btw, though in a way less busted way, I feel like the damage dropoff isn't high enough to justify using higher damage weapons with "lower" ttk (I still LOVE the BAR and the DP-27 though, it's a shame the meta seems to be way more SMG focused than LMGs.)
@@Kojakofthelake i have researched everything in the game for all nations with exception of a single JP tank and trust me PPS-42 is better than PPS-43 due the less of a recoil and less dispersion. It's super op and as you just said it can fight in uptiers no problem.
