Saw these guys a few years ago in orlando for their Plague Over N. America tour. I got to talk to the old drummer Pasi and Juha the guitarist. At the end of the night, I bought their Plague of Butterflies CD, and got it signed by the whole band!
And that's why I love Swallow the Sun.
If only more people would see, that this is art. If only more people would open thair soul to this... This perfection
I feel your heart after a lot of years still I am addicted to this band it is in my veens
Best band on Earth, no doubt
Such simple cords. Such beautiful music.
i hope that someday, sts release an dvd with live performances.. or one live show..:D
Beauty and the beast...harmony and discord...but it all makes sense.
Why didn't I hear of them sooner? What have I been doing with my life??????
Amazing
last time i head banged for that length i fell ova lol...great song
@Xsdekay Mikko is an amazing guy. I met him when his other band: Barren Earth was touring with Rotten Sound, Ensiferum, and Finntroll.
This is my favorite! Goddam!
I've been listening to this song non-stop for over a week..it truly is an AMAZING song.
34 000 man i love this song!
@Frodamn that's because the audio is from the album, not live from the concert. There's a video of this song with the real audio, and they sound pretty good, but they speed up the tempo, as you say.
@Dearfloatingwater108
This is what doom metal is about. Simplicity yet beauty.
awesomeness!
lagu yang hebat.
Its amazing that they were able to play it completely without fault, generally slow tempo's like this people speed up, and just in general people tend to speed up.
fucking awesome song... i love it!
epic.
Nice Vid D: great quality
love this...
It's a shame that we don't hear what they're really playing on the video because this audio track has been made in studio... However the music and the video are both awesome.
fuckin epic, cant wait to see you guys in cali :D
btw your sound quality live is amazing :o
@nuiski oh, wow. yeah, your probably right haha. i feel kinda dumb now XD
they still do have pretty great sound quality live though, have you ever heard them?
@Frodamn Good to know you weren't offended. Well, since you said "in general people tend to speed up" it made it sound like Swallow the Sun didn't. That's why I listed some examples without regards of this video. Obviously slowing or speeding up is not a bad thing (though it may sound as if I'm criticizing, which I'm not), if they sounded exactly the same live as they do in their albums, we would know their sound is so artificial, right?
wwwwwwwwww ilike it
@loscrisipos The way i worded that is very, New Zealander and most people generally take our comments way to far, i wasnt offended. And i know they speed other shit up, i was just referring to this song specifically.
@blackritual0 No, but I hope that they swing by Denmark at some point :-)
one person dislike this because they Swallow The Sun. ouch!
im here for daily dose
I am addicted since forever
\☺/
@loscrisipos or they are just beast musicians. Which they are :P
@blackritual0 Come on.... The sound is obviously not live.
It's a live video dubbed with the album version of the song.
Singer reminds me of Mikael Akerfeldt...
you made my day bro
@zylelfskariranariza Doom metal mate ; )
As one of the few true doomers on the comment section, I can safely say this is one of the more mainstream acts (stretching the definition of mainstream until it almost breaks). Still a good song, though.
DOOM METAL
nice footage, but I hate dubbed shit
