The way Jukka shows that he is just enjoying playing is so nice. I really wish they would tour more and play some of the stuff from these older albums.

The three last albums are beast (The Redshift, New World Shadows and Beyond). They just keep getting better. I admit I had to get used to the vocals, but didn't take me long to appreciate them back in 2010. My favorite band atm, and even planning on an OmG tattoo on my arm. Btw, you can listen to the new album for a week at inferno.fi/uutiset/inferno-tarjoaa-kuuntele-uusi-omnium-gatherum-albumi/
And no, I'm not spamming. This is for the fans ;)

God i so wish, vocals were better, its a shame. The musicianship is absolutely brilliant.

"better" is a subjective term... these aren't sing-songy vocals, it took me 15-20 years go finally see beauty in non-melodic singing... and to me these guys are the pinnacle. The music is built around the vocals and vice versa, you couldn't really change one without changing the other. Not saying they couldn't do good music built around melodic vocals, just saying they would lose what makes them special in this configuration.

@@slinkeepy Wow, that took you quite some time. :) May I ask what changed it for you? I can't relate much since when I got interested in metal, I grew into liking growling within 6 months, maybe even less (can't remember anymore). It's kinda funny because prior discovering metal, I lived mainly on Beatles and ABBA.
Though some are much more "badass" than I was, I started with melodeath, some go straight for Cannibal Corpse. :D
But I guess there are quite a lot of people that have never liked and never will like any kind of non-melodic vocals. I've seen the same remark "I love the music but the vocals are ruining it" under many melodeath videos. (Fortunately for them, tons of metal with melodic vocals is available, right.)
Personally, I don't think I would like OG (or any other melodeath bands) nearly as much if they used melodic vocals. I freaking LOVE Jukka's growls.
