It took me 3 hours to do medium long box braids using the 3 strand method bc I have been braiding since 5 years old. I’m 11 now so I got better and my braids look neater
this is me right now!!! ME OUT LOUD: OK, let me go ahead and get started on my hair. ME IN MY HEAD: Wait I need to find out why braiders only braid down half way. ME THINKING ITS ONLY BEEN A LITTLE WHILE: 😕 3 hours later wishing I was Jeannie off of I Dream of Jeannie.🤦
Ugh! It’s so hard for me to not finish braiding the braid I’m on, it literally drives me crazy, plus I’m a perfectionist so I take time to tuck the hair in the weave and clean my parts with gel, but I really need to get faster 😩😩
I’ve pushed myself to do them in about 3 1/2 hours. I find that when you don’t sit down you go quicker. Another thing I do is I listen to music. When I’m talking and running my mouth I move so slow.
I used to last 2 days to do my box braids, it took me 8 hours to finish them, thank you so much 😍, i know, the more i braid my hair, I'll get faster so I've improved a lot
Wow thank you so much my dear ❤️ I really appreciate it.. box braids are my niche but the downside for my clients is the part where they have to be patient for 6-8 hours depending on the length 😂😂🤣 so I’m really really grateful for this!!!
I always braid my own hair no matter what style lemonade, Fulani, what ever , but I come to TH-cam and the in “how to do (braid style) on myself” it’ll show you what angles to hold your arms and what they found worked best ❤️
I really enjoyed this video. It had a lot of good tips! I’m braiding tomorrow and need to be done quickly. I do find myself sitting and watching tv which makes me go slow when doing my hair so I can’t wait to try your tips and see how they work! Thanks!
It's hard being a perfectionist! I am trying very hard to find different ways of becoming faster. I'm becoming faster then before. Any tips are helpful..
If i make a mistake I move on to the next and come back when finished with entire head. That saves time. I've been braiding for 30 years. 😆 and it takes me about 3 and a half hrs now.
Is it weird that I can braid myself faster that when I braid someone else? Or maybe it's because I can't see everything on my head.. hopefully I can use this method.. thanks 🤗
👎🏼language barrier alert👎🏼Ok listen these videos are for every1, please slow down when speaking so everyone can get the full benefit of what's being taught. Your view count my go up but it's a 👎🏼it I can't understand u.
Wow thank you so much my dear ❤️ I really appreciate it.. box braids are my niche but the downside for my clients is the part where they have to be patient for 6-8 hours depending on the length 😂😂🤣 so I’m really really grateful for this!!!

Same ! Every braid I do I go through and cut any fly aways so I don’t have to do it at the end😂
SAME HERE!!!!! 😫😫😫
Saaame!
Same hereeee 😫
Same! Lol don't feel bad I'm the same way!
These tips were great! 4.5 hours is still not bad timing. I’ve done 4 hours under pressure but my fingers were tingling so bad!😩😩😩😩
Speak Sakia How?? 😂😂 I start slowing down by the 4th hour.
4 in a half hours is not bad at all it usually takes me 2 to 3 days to finish my hair
I’ve pushed myself to do them in about 3 1/2 hours. I find that when you don’t sit down you go quicker. Another thing I do is I listen to music. When I’m talking and running my mouth I move so slow.
I definitely get distracted when I’m watching tv 🤣🤣🤣 thanks for the tips, I’m going to try them today 💕

Wheeeew chile!! I felt her at 4:09🤣😂💀. Like DON’T be doing all of that touching in your hair while I’m WORKING!!👊🏾👊🏾
It takes me 3 days to do the long ones on my head😅😅😂😂
Dothodzo It’s always different when you’re doing your own hair
Same here smh and about 12 hrs on somebody else head . I'm good but idk why it take sooo long 😩😔
It takes me forever seems like ugh
That’s the thing I loved the most that you dried your client. I hate my hair be dripping when I leave from getting my hair braided
Wow thank you so much my dear ❤️ I really appreciate it.. box braids are my niche but the downside for my clients is the part where they have to be patient for 6-8 hours depending on the length 😂😂🤣 so I’m really really grateful for this!!!
Meee 😭 I wanna be faster man
This looks like it only took one hour!
Very simple, fast and neat! Awesome job!
💜🤗💜
I am gonna braid my own hair for the first time, I've been looking for some tips and tricks. This was helpful ❤

Your parting is very beautiful. Just trying to gather the strength to do mine. Stay blessed.
Very smart using a bucket to dip the hair, I need to copy this method!

LMAOOOO same
the lil attitude she got afterwards is what got me 😂

Ok i like how you dip the hair in one big bucket of water. Imma have to try that.
Just get some hot water in a bucket or cold and just dip it in. Easy
I think my issue is the part to braid ratio. I have done the u topped parts and it seems to take me longer. Thank you for the tips in this video.
Interesting parting pattern. I'm going to try this. I've always used square parting, but this arch looks nice.
Nice one it takes me 3 hours to do but I have been doing hair since I was as 8 , , I like how you dry her hair , I let mine Air dry
Thank u for the tips. Beautiful braids
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Omg, you did that hunny, period. 🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful job ❤ those Box Braids you Mizz Emmy always do a beautiful job from what I see on your hair videos 🖒🖒🖒💯💯💯

I've watched tons of tutorials and so,and this one is amazing and the best, thank you you are amazing
What do you recommend for a tighter grip? I like mine this neat but the base is always loose 😭
Wow and it's been taking me 2 days. I'm glad I watched this video. Love your work👌
I love your videos
Great tips 💕 Beautiful braids 🤍
How many bags did you use?
I listen to music and i be in the zone.
I can do it this fast if someone doesn’t want clean parts definitely
Girl u good!!!!
Why don't you use any gel on the root? Just to save time or is there another reason?
You can oily the root before start or you can spray the root after finishing everything is not bad
If i make a mistake I move on to the next and come back when finished with entire head. That saves time. I've been braiding for 30 years. 😆 and it takes me about 3 and a half hrs now.
I normally put leave in treatments in my hair before braiding, can you still do that with this technique? Or will it be too slippery
I need to train myself to braid underhand
i really want to do the curve parts but i’m afraid the packs of hair will run out before i finish
I have used about 1,30 hour on half of my hair but i struggle with the back
Ur the best sweetie ✌💕💋
Awesome!
Awesome work, you didn’t say how long it took overall?
Thanks 😄 that was still about 4 hours and 30 minutes because I was talking all through and being slow cause I was recording.
How do you get the braids to not ravel up?
Hi, What do you charge for this hairstyle?
Soooooo pretty
I would let u you braid my hair...... come to Memphis!!!!!
Can you please tell me where you got the parting pick/comb from? What's it called? Can't find it anywhere........
It’s called a rat tail comb , they should have them at the same beauty store you get the hair from
How long do I have to keep the pigtails in the water?
Grigorescu Raisa not long, just dip them in and move them around in the water, raise them up and redip then dry
Is it weird that I can braid myself faster that when I braid someone else? Or maybe it's because I can't see everything on my head.. hopefully I can use this method.. thanks 🤗
Yessss, alright!! How long do the braids soak n the hot water
Ronda S not long, just dip them in and move them around in the water, raise them up and redip then dry
wow 4 hours it took me 14 ugh how do I speed up
How many packs of the hair
Kyara Cleveland in the video it said 3 of those packs
Can they be called aqua braids!
This is great. Thank you!
Thank you very much
I’m so slow I wonder if it’s just my braiding speed.
Omg i just had a moment you know like a bitch fit in my "white chicks" voice. Thank u i just learned how to braid
15 minutes???? 3:18 wow that's fast

Looks painful!
