The guides are made to withstand those knot that's why the guides are so huge , all matter has what type of pole you're using we're using 13 foot ulua poles made for this ulua fishing
Im not really sure myself but my thought was that the bimini twist and spider hitch knot have one thing in common they both make a big loop and if I used the surgeons loop knot to make a big enough loop that I can then cut as shown in the video to then use to a modified albright knot and the mainline would be high enough test to handle the 300lb test and I was thinking about it as an ez alternate knot than the spider hitch and to strengthen the surgeons knot id would just wrap it extra times as needed depending on test of line but anyways mahalo for the response
Wouldn't a swivel make this much easier? I am assuming the 300lb is strictly to deal with reef and rocks. You could tie the 80 and crimp the 300. A 300lb spro swivel would even make it a slimmer presentation. Just a thought!

This is made to be reeled up into your reel and cast through the guides
You don’t wanna cast a swivel through your eyes
Also crimp and swivel gets stuck in the reef when u fighting a fish
