I was at this concert at Wembley stadium. Makes me cry to see it again now. When I go to concerts now, large parts of the audience are too busy filming the band but they miss the joy of being absorbed in the music. So glad there were no mobiles back then. Being in the audience and listening together and singing together was truly uplifting and joyous.
I'm so in love with Freddie. This song makes me cry every time I watch him perform it live and hear the audience sing it. ❤ His voice hits me deep....I react so strongly to his voice.
I've been listening to freddie for 30 years ... and every time his voice brings my heart back to life ... especially in the dark moments of my life. The greatest performer, the greatest poet. I lost my heart with him .
Same here and for 32 years( I was 12 when I first listened to Queen and Freddie ,and immediatly fell in love with them )..Means everything to me since then..
I was at a Queen & Paul Rogers concert in 2005. Two big biker type covered with tattoos were right in front of me. When Freddie appeared on a big screen and sang love of my life? Really, I swear: they cried. It was beautiful...
Love your reactions to Queen and Freddie! This was Wembley....there were at least &0,000 people there witnessing this wonderful once in a lifetime performance. You should watch Love of My Life Montreal 81. The vocals and performance was even more unbelievable. Enjoy and rock on man. Thanks for the love of Queen and Freddie. Once you witness it, YOU’RE HOOKED FOR LIFE❤️
Please never quit Queen (not that I think it's even possible - once you're their fan, you're their fan for life ❤). There's still so much for you to hear and love, and I will gladly watch such journey. I've loved many bands, singers and artists but Queen is genuinely the only ones I always come back to. They do things to my soul I can't explain. Plus they have a song for every mood and occasion...
Gotchya! When Freddie’s voice cracked a little it even cracks perfectly and your head shaking in disbelief proved it. Magnificent what more can I say. You are the real deal to, you can’t hide your emotions and it’s very much appreciated. Your the best, keep on Queening
It's just a beautiful, simple, emotional song. The guitar, his voice and the crowd. And they're ready to join in the moment he gestures to them. In a moment like that, thousands and thousands of people are connected together, singing in unison. You can feel how much they love Freddie and how he loves them right back.
I LOVE watching Queen, and especially Freddie, perform live... he was amazing at working the crowd. This kind of audience participation was pretty rare at this time, but the band encouraged it. That's why they wrote "We Will Rock You"...it was a simple song that the crowd could perform along with them.
I love your reactions, especially to Queen & Freddie. Your comments feel honest and totally heartfelt. for this video at Montreal, there were almost 50,000 in the audience! I so love Queen. I love Freddie, a true musical genius. All of them are.
Freddie is an amazing band/choir leader. Rami Malek spoke in one interview about Freddie being "elegant" - that sweeping bow after the first audience sing is just that...elegant.
I like a lot of the other artists you've reacted to, too....but Queen is my favorite, so I will NEVER mind you reacting to a song of theirs and say you're doing too much. No need to quit on my account. I know there are probably some who complain you don't listen to enough of other artists, but I'll never be one of them.. Most importantly, you just have to go with what's in your heart. If something touches you spiritually, emotionally, just makes you want to dance or maybe even influences you to pick up your own guitar and start picking out chords, go with it. :) Be true to yourself and you'll never be wrong.
Such a beautiful song, written by Freddie for his soulmate, the love of his life, Mary Austin. She was his lover for seven years, his best friend for his lifetime. She inherited his home, a big chunk of his fortune... and his ashes. Only she knows where they are buried or scattered, just as Freddie asked of her. And JB, you just react to as much Queen music as you want to, it's wonderful to see you growing in your musical awareness! By the way, the size of that crowd was in excess of 70,000 people! And all of them, wrapped around Freddie's little finger.
Freddie fed off of the energy of the audience and vice versa. Their concerts were amazing for this energy. The song was written for the love of his life, Mary Austin. But later, Freddie sang it as a love song to the audience. Old Wembley Stadium capacity was 72,000 people. Queen always sold out to stadium capacity. I know, when you fall under the Queen and Freddie Mercury spell, you can't pull away nor do you want to. No one can entertain and mesmerize an audience like Freddie. He is so sorely missed.
Queen and especially Freddie gave their love to us and we sent that love right back to them, that's what everyone calls "crowd control" it wasn't, it was sheer love that kept us then and now.
I think one of the things that REALLY makes Queen stand out is the amount of audience participation you see in the concert. Freddie always keeps his audience in the loop somehow, and he doesn't merely perform for them - he makes them a big part of the concert performance. From a little song like this one to We Will Rock You, the audience is brought right into it. Hell, he just had tens of thousands of people singing along with him on Love of My Life ! He knew how to make the connection, that's for sure.
Queen played up to 200 thousand people. I don’t remember how many attended this particular concert. But if I had to guess I would say 76k. Someone will read this and let us know. I loved this reaction. Your heart is with us! Bohemian Rhapsody is back on the charts now! No surprise.
What I can never get over, watching Freddie sing 'Love of my Life', these numerous times, is how much his and Queen's performance here isnt so much about performing a love song in front of an audience-- it's made so personal in the intimate way that Freddie romances the crowd- like he is singing a love song to the actual fans, giving his love to them, and they in turn giving it right back at him. I know this song is written for and about Freddie's long love Mary Austen, but, it is this thought that hits me every time I see him sing this song to his audiences. What a true romantic he was!
Hi from the Czech republic! I have watched a lot of Queen reactions lately and yours are my favourite, because I think you are sensitive enough to let the music touch your heart, not like others, who only hear and don't listen. I have been an ultimate Queen fan since I was a child and although every now and then I listen to music other than Queen, I always come back to them, especially when I have to go through some hard times in my life. Their music is always inspiring, it can make you laugh, dance, it can move you to tears, make you speechless...so, please, don't quit with Queen reactions just because you feel obliged to...do what you feel like doing, cos the show must go on.😉
Queen is addictive! About five years ago, I found Queen. I remembered hearing them on the Highlander series long ago and going back to check the credits--I knew that was a sound I just loved. But, I started watching them on TH-cam after I watched "20 Minutes that Changed Music." I bought albums, listened to deep tracks, and went to a concert last year. I never get tired of Queen. They are simply my band, and I love them!
RIP Freddie Mercury you were the best loved the video it brought back memories did you know that stadium held a crowd of 80.000 people for this Queen concert keep up with Queen videos I'm loving them thanks ❤️
JB, you can never jump off the Queen train. Because no one wants to leave. "Play the Game" is one of my favorite Freddie written Queen songs. It's the one that hooked me in when I was kid before I had ever even heard the song Bohemian Rhapsody.
I love this song. I have sung it to my children when they were babies and my cat as he crossed the rainbow bridge. Written for Freddie's soul mate Mary who was with him til the end. I was lucky and got to sing along with Queen when I saw them live. One of the best concerts of my life besides Led Zeppelin.
This concert is very emotional and beautiful, but my favorite "Love of my life" version is definitely Rock in Rio (Brazil). The concert in Japan is also spectacular, those fans sang like a choir! Thank you soooo much, James!! :D
This was at Wembley stadium and there were over 70.000 people there and they played four consecutive nights, each sold out. Loving your Queen journey, much love to you from Yorkshire England.
This song haunted me for months before my sons daughter was born. I heard him singing it to her the other day. It still brings me to tears almost every time I hear it
I love your reactions to everything for the pure joy you have for music. Queen will always be my favorite ones since I’ve loved them for ages, so you’ll not hear a complaint from me on that.
Did you say a crowd of 2000 people?? Try 75000 people and no other singer in rock can have an audience in the palm of hand like Freddie Mercury. You want to see real audience participation, listen to Radio Ga Ga!!!
Oh gosh please don’t quit them.. They deserve better.. just react to the music you love listen to and if you love their music keep on going. Maybe you could do „No one but you“ and „Let me live“ by them. Very amazing songs! First one written for Freddie after he passed.
If that is Wembley Stadium then seating alone was over a 100.000. Then you have standing. That was the magnitude of how much Freddy Mercury and Queen were adored. JB I have so much music I would love to share with you. Your hunger for knowledge and your heart full of love you deserve all the beauty you put out being returned in Bundles. Peace!!!!!!
Dethtones yes I visited Wembley several times for footie matches. Back in them days there wasn’t such a thing called Health and safety. Obviously I cannot comment on concert attendances however thank you for your wisdom. Queen were magic. We are all blessed to have had such joy from their music. Peace!!!!!
Talk, Tales and Trivia with Stephanie JB sealed it for me with one comment he made. “ He sees no colour in music.” His Soul is ready for Enlightenment. His journey is going to be one beautiful adventure. Embrace the love. Peace !!!!!
I enjoy your commentary and have also been obsessed by Queen these last few weeks I have been listening andlwatching everything I can . A lot is new to me as well. Keep doing Queen I like having people to share this with.
He could sing and tell a story like no other. Only the good die young, but they are never forgotten. He is forever in my heart. I love to listen to him sing and watch him perform. RIP Freddie! You are LOVED even today. You were ahead of your time And Larger than life. Thank you for always singing from your heart while holding ours in the palm of your hands!! ❤🕯Your candle burned out long before your legend ever will....
You should really try Innuendo...it's epic!!!! Queen is simply the greatest, in every possible way. Freddie Mercury nothing less than a legend - truly the greatest vocalist ever. Don't stop with your Queen videos; I love to see that pure joy and awe on your face. :)
You know what I am 45 years old and grew up listening to Queen my favourite band of all time...I am getting such a buzz listening to these performances it’s like I’m hearing them again for the first time and it’s awesome that a new generation are hearing this legend for the first time...He was amazing...glad your enjoying Queen...Mark (London)
I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for you to react to this song. This is one where you want to listen to the studio version, a live Freddie version, and then a more recent live Brian version, because it's so beautiful, and you'll want the experience of it all, and because *I* love it so much. I cry every time. When I saw Brian perform this a few years ago, tears were just streaming down my face.
I'm so glad you're still doing some Queen as well as other artists. There's still so many amazing songs to discover. Beautiful song 💙 thank you for your great videos JB, you're so genuine and passionate about what you see/hear and it's a pleasure to watch with you xx
I understand that Freddie was very touched when he first heard the audience S+ing along, so beautifully with him! He was absolutely amazing! He was able to.lead the crowd with a tiny hand gesture! What a terrible loss He was so young!! We miss you Freddie ! May you rest in peace! Thanks for you reaction! It is great ,as usual!
Marc Martel mentioned that this song was written with Mary Austin in mind, in her words as if she were singing it to Freddie . Makes me cry to think of it!!
James, I know you're a Romantic at heart, and there's another love song you must hear, "You Take My Breath Away " Live at Hyde Park 1976. It's a young Freddie just him & his piano and it's eerie in its beauty. There's a beautiful studio version too, but this is simple, short & moving, filmed before they even recorded it. I myself had not seen this Hyde Park version tll yesterday and was floored by it. Please check it out.
I was there at Wembley in 86...Its a Kind of Magic tour. I was stood by the side of the sound booth and it was a jaw dropping concert but I wish I could go back and see it again as you never appreciate what you have until it’s gone! Long live Freddie, long live Queen!!!
Thanks for your heartfelt reactions and I feel the same way about Freddie Mercury and Queen. Phenomenal musicians who gave it their all in every song. I think this was part of the Rock in Rio concerts and I’ve read that each concert drew over 100,000 in football stadiums! Freddie loved performing in Brazil and still has a huge following there. I really appreciate how are you enjoy Queen’s musical talent.
Such a lovely and cute song. So timeless and powerful. Love it. I think there are around 60.000 ppl in that stadium if I'm not mistaken 💙And you are a wonderful person my bruh
Hey JB, Queen is my favourite group ever, but the last few years my daughter introduced me to another band who is now joint favourite and that group is Muse, they are amazing and are great in concert, Please check out if you like some of their songs; "Starlight", " Uprising ", " knights Of Cydonia ", ," Follow Me", "Surpremacy", " Pressure, " " Panic Station" and there are many more songs to check out. They have a great bond with the crowds and I think you'll like them. 😊💞
Have you seen the time they did this song after Freddie died and just had a empty mic and the crowd sang the whole song while the band just played? If your eyes won’t stay dry.
Freddie what instrument do you play?
Freddie : the crowd.
Best comment EVER!
Spot on!
FREDDIE : "AY OOOOOOOHHHHH!"
CROWD : "AY OOOOOOOOHHHHH!"
FREDDIE : ALRIGHT !
What a perfect comment.
And no one could play a crowd better than him.
He had control over 70 to 80,000 people at Wembley. Still love your face when you hear Freddie sing.
100.000 wasn`t it?
I was at this concert at Wembley stadium. Makes me cry to see it again now. When I go to concerts now, large parts of the audience are too busy filming the band but they miss the joy of being absorbed in the music. So glad there were no mobiles back then. I listen to Queen everyday. First saw them in the 70’s, and have loved them ever since. Best group & fans in the world! ❤️🥂🎹🎤🇺🇸
Me too Susan. 1974 and I haven't stopped since.🙂❤
Me too! Saw Queen live in 1975 in Syracuse NY and I've never stopped listening or loving Queen! And yes, Queen fans are the best fans on earth!
I lost my heart with him .

i have been listening longer than that ...and i agree with you 100% ...
grazziella casella - beautiful comment love. 🇬🇧👍
Freddie was magical 💖 💖
Once you are a Queen fan, you can't go back 😊💕
That voice makes me weep. SO glad to share that feeling with you sir. Happy you have found Queen and Freddie.
It's always wonderful to hear more and more people discovering Queen and falling in love with their music.
I can't listen to this song without getting tearful.....such a beautiful, heartfelt song....like music from heaven.
I was at a Queen & Paul Rogers concert in 2005. Two big biker type covered with tattoos were right in front of me. When Freddie appeared on a big screen and sang love of my life? Really, I swear: they cried. It was beautiful...

Dude. the smile that came on your face when Freddie started to sing, was golden.

This is one of my favorite live performances from them. One could say, it's a kind of magic.

"Amazing how an artist like this can have an impact over a crowd". lol. There is no other artist like this! ;)
The audience was always in the palm of his hand. Every song we would do anything he wanted. He was hypnotic.
72,000 people were eating right out of his hand!! Magical!! 😍😘🤩❤👑

Pavla, we could be Queen twins. I love them the way you do.
My husband saw them a few times live, I never had that opportunity. This is a beautiful song. There'll never be another Freddie :-(
I think you are brilliant! Don’t quit queen! You show pure emotion and it’s so genuine! Makes me want to watch you more!
Boy! You Queen marathon and I'll be with you on you Queen journey!! Love ya
He held a microphone in one hand and the world in the other. I loved him so!
Probably one of the most beautiful love songs ever 👑

Don't quit Queen, love listening to you & the song's. 🙏🇬🇧♥️
A beautiful song written for his all time love Mary Austin.
My favourite Queen song, My favourite performance of this song... I can see in your eyes you are mesmerised too... Respect
Diane Davies I sang this for kids too
It is amazing how awesome the quality of live Queen performances is
This concert is very emotional and beautiful, but my favorite "Love of my life" version is definitely Rock in Rio (Brazil). The concert in Japan is also spectacular, those fans sang like a choir!
Thank you soooo much, James!! :D

Spread your wings- Queen
I'm so glad you're still doing some Queen as well as other artists. There's still so many amazing songs to discover. Beautiful song 💙 thank you for your great videos JB, you're so genuine and passionate about what you see/hear and it's a pleasure to watch with you xx
You need to hear the crowd sing this song while they were in Rio.
Very few deserve such a crowd, fewer still command such a crowd ! Hang in there JB...the world needs this window to your soul :) Peace!
I understand that Freddie was very touched when he first heard the audience
S+ing along, so beautifully with him! He was absolutely amazing! He was able to.lead the crowd with a tiny hand gesture! What a terrible loss He was so young!! We miss you Freddie ! May you rest in peace! Thanks for you reaction! It is great ,as usual!
JB, I think you'll be blown away by Freddie singing a duet with Montserrat Caballe called "Barcelona".
Marc Martel mentioned that this song was written with Mary Austin in mind, in her words as if she were singing it to Freddie . Makes me cry to think of it!!
Once you go Queen nothing else will do! Freddie is so addictive isn't he? Immortal Freddie always in our hearts.
Love your very reaction to this.
How could we not love Queen? Happy New Year to you and your You Tube family!
Love your reaction bravo Fredy Mercury and Queen best music ever
James, I know you're a Romantic at heart, and there's another love song you must hear, "You Take My Breath Away " Live at Hyde Park 1976. This and Borhap are my fave Queen songs. Love of my life is just so beautiful, I can’t
no.1 love song of all time... Thank you Queen
Don't stop. If you're heart is calling for this music then follow it. Their music makes me feel alive and I can't imagine a day without it.
I was there at Wembley in 86...Its a Kind of Magic tour. I was stood by the side of the sound booth and it was a jaw dropping concert but I wish I could go back and see it again as you never appreciate what you have until it’s gone! Long live Freddie, long live Queen!!!
I'm loving it..... You doing the Queen marathon.
Love it. I think there are around 60.000 ppl in that stadium if I'm not mistaken 💙And you are a wonderful person my bruh
your whole entire reaction to this song is literally me w every queen song and performance ever
Go ahead and do as much as you like. We all enjoy Queen. 😀
Thank you for reviewing this. We still love you Freddie. ❤
I'm 59 I've seen Queen 5 or 6 times. Freddie believed in connecting to to his audience. And we all chimed in.
I love watching people experiencing Freddie ❤️
Play Queen 24/7 I love your reaction to watching real artists at work your emotions are genuine I respect that. KEEP IT UP MAN.
Hey JB, Queen is my favourite group ever, but the last few years my daughter introduced me to another band who is now joint favourite and that group is Muse, they are amazing and are great in concert, Please check out if you like
some of their songs;
"Starlight", " Uprising ", " knights Of Cydonia ", ," Follow Me", "Surpremacy", " Pressure, " " Panic Station" and there are many more songs to check out. They have a great bond with the crowds and I think you'll like them. 😊💞
Listen to Brian May at Rock in Rio 2015. Brian sings Love of my life at every concert for Freddie. The crowd always joins in.
😢❤ Freddie always touch my heart
Have you seen the time they did this song after Freddie died and just had a empty mic and the crowd sang the whole song while the band just played?
If your eyes won’t stay dry.
Is there a video on TH-cam for that? I've been looking, but i can't find it!
@@elainebagpuss6407 yeah, be nice to see the video
Just the thought of that video made
Me get tears in my eyes
What video was this?? I haven't seen it and I listen to Queen at some point in my day everyday.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be Freddie standing on that stage, having thousands and thousands of fans singing your songs back to you???
