    There is such a severe lack of this info available for us techs to access. Nice to see that someone attempted to give a meat and potatoes example for folks to view. It’s still an evolving industry, but the basics are important to know. Appreciate your work here, man.

    Is the final setting going to be.2 if not why not test at actual setting to ensure sensor is calculating correctly?

      devore1776 The Power System Study (Coordination Study) had not been created but the schedule for our Service Group was over a month in backlog. The decision was made by leadership and customer to perform the manufacturer start-up checks, transfer scheme and ground fault performance tests and input settings on separate visit when created before energization.
      Normally it is ideal to perform tests at settings, however situations occur that necessitate customized solutions.

      Also he probably turned ground fault pick up down to minimum to ensure the ms-2 test set could actually provide enough current to trip the breaker. The test set usually doesn't push more than 500 amps give or take 100.

    Why did you set the tie brk to 0.2 in this testing and not lower ?

      spencer austin Not possible to set lower than 0.2 on the GE Entelliguard trip unit.
