I think my battery life is good for me. I’ve been getting like 8-9 hrs per day on a used iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Well my phone has started freezing up at seemingly random times. And when trying to turn it off with the button it just dimms the screen extremely end then behaves normally again
Note/correction: Rad stands for Radian, not radius (in the calculator). My mistake 🤣

Beta 3 has been very good for me. Its stable and performance and battery has also been good.
Same, battery life is almost normal but there are more bugs than beta 2.

Apple Music just stops working sometimes while listening
This update broke the tint feature for me, I had it just fine but now when I wanna change it, like 2 seconds later it changes the color to a very dark version of the color I chose
The only app crashing for me was the Apple Store App
am i the only one whose emoji history is not working? i use emojis a LOT and it’s frustrating having to scroll or search for the emoji i need every. single. TIME😭

How exactly is it not working? Is the frequently used section missing? Is it empty? Is it populated with random emojis? Or just with the same emojis from the beginning of the smiley section?

4:20 The option for showing those audio output options for Siri is now in Settings > Developer at the bottom, suggesting that it's probably meant for developers for some reason.
Lock Screen Music button is a welcome 🤗 feature for me.
For the love of God, Apple! Please stop hiding older notifications! PLEASE! I am begging you! Or just give us an option. I want all my notifications on my Lock Screen ALL THE TIME!

I would love a cheap Apple Watch for one reason: Fall Detection. I have a couple people in mind including my dad who, if I could get them to wear it all the time, I’d have a lot more peace of mind.

@Zerus46 reallyyyyyy ok good! i am thinking of downloading the public beta this upcoming week. i have a iPhone on Verizon, and my parents have androids on Google Fi, and i REALLY want to be able to text them with RCS and have it be good. do you think i should be fine when the public beta releases? no issues? ill be able to have send read receipts and stuff and it'll be good right? thx! lol
@randomstuff101 the developer beta has been great for me. Some bugs but not so bad to the point where I cant use my phone. Public beta will be a lot more stable then dev, so definitely download it when it releases!

In the calculator app, RAD stands for "radians" not "radius"
Everything so far is running correctly. I have read a lot of comments of things not working as expected and no issues yet. Also, battery life is looking good.
The auto option for light and dark app icons has been broken, hopefully the beta 3.5/public beta will fix it
There are more than a couple people who use a straight black wallpaper on their iPhones?

The customize bug wasn't just for black backgrounds. I had it happen to me with a full color photo background.

Another work around to get the customize to show up is blur ur Home Screen wallpaper or change ur wallpaper no need to create a new home screen

On a calculator, "rad" and "deg" refer to the units used for measuring angles in trigonometric functions.
- Deg (Degrees): This setting measures angles in degrees, where a full circle is 360 degrees.
- Rad (Radians): This setting measures angles in radians.

On the plastic watch, maybe Apple is trying to market for kids since they have been announcing the iwatch is a good start for kids verses a phone. Just a thought.
I agree, I think Apple is trying to appeal to parents with the cheaper watch. It makes sense given the great health data you can get from an Apple Watch
Both my kids have Apple Watches, the cheapest SE 2s, which is great as they can’t play mindless games or watch TH-cam or garbage social media on it but can text or call us, plus we can track them if necessary.

Radius? Temperature? Nahhhhhhh 😭
Just so you know Brandon, it’s degrees or RADIANS… a different way to measure angles. For example, 180 degrees = pi radians (pi=3.141592653…). It sounded like you were saying radius.

If the bottom of the “Plastic Apple Watch SE” is a glass or metal material similar to the Apple Watch ultra, that would allow the body to be plastic but still “feel” like metal

i’ve noticed that i am completely unable to open the Apple Store app on my iPhone. it loads for a couple seconds and then instantly crashes. no clue why.

What I am looking forward to is things that I can actually use to make my phone work better. Things like the Calendar/reminders link, the Notes update, control centre etc is what I am looking forward to the most. I would also like to see the calendar get the capability to actually email me an agenda each day like Google and Outlook can. Dont care about the ability to make my screen look different and not really concerned about a delayed Siri 2.0 or AI. Everything I need Siri for today works. I will let experience be my AI
All of these are pretty cool. But the thing I want the absolute most more than any thing is just the ability to remove the dock from the home screen. I hate that it has to permanently sit down there.. Really wish I could get rid of it and just have my icons and a cleaner looking screen setup.
Beta 3 has been pretty good for me! Only real issues has been some 3rd party apps that are set to dark mode, will toggle to light mode when changing to large icons. Also the Apple Store app instantly crashes when trying to open it.
I yesterday updated to ios beta 18.3 ,but still my airpods pro 2 haven’t got firmware update, it still shows 6F8 , what should i do
Last night I connected my hdmi to usb c and it displays videos and video apps full screen now. It never did that before lol amazing feature!!

iOS 18 offers new customization options, but it could be much improved with:
Icon Sizes: Small, Medium (default), Large
Customizations: Remove app names, Round app corners (for all sizes)
and atleast a Dock Transparency slider
The wallpaper changing colors what impact does that have on the battery life? I would think that would be a big drain on the battery.

The AI pause is a mistake. Rumors have it as a release some time next Spring.

18:06 - I dunno. I'm still using an Apple Watch 6 that's pretty close to needing a battery upgrade, so I'm looking forward to it. I actually LIKE it still mostly has the same design, so I'll be there to get it in September.
My iphone keeps pausing videos whether it's a video from the gallery or youtube it's really annoying.
carplay is lagging a lot for me with this Beta.

I did the wallpaper change thing and it worked
The “Customize” not working isn’t limited to all black wallpapers. A wide variety of personal wallpapers don’t work, switching to the Apple dynamic one temporarily is a workaround as mentioned. According to the Feedback app, Apple does have a potential fix for this - I personally expect them to roll out a refresh with a fix in it next week as the Public Beta.

5:03 not related to temperature, my friend 😅 It’s a toggle for picking if you want the angles in your trigonometry calculations expressed in ‘radians’ or ‘degrees’ (of arc).
In connectivity Control Center you have arrows that allow you to tap on once instead of long pressing to access more options
