as a IT/CS student, this a must watch video. Gumawa kami ng research about this and its safe to say na, it all comes down to personal preference and your budget.
Just to add sa future proofing. kung talagang leaning towards ka into future proofing. invest in a motherboard. dito mo makikita kung talagang may market sa mga target parts mo. may nakaabang ka ng slots/sockets like PCIe 5.0, NVMe
Mistake 3 is one the best reminder, do not get into hype porke latest gen doesn't mean it's the best, remember most of the newly release components ng CPU, MOBO and DDR5 RAM encountered a lot of problem. Just wait for the right timing if you really want those most reliable hardware out there. And you don't actually need these very unreasonable expensive hardware, just pick what's fits into your budget.
I am guilty about that bottlenecking until a person told not be more specific sa bottle dun sa discord nila. sobrang helpful and I'm so happy na sinunod ko yun. keep it up HS!
Ako bago nag build ng 1st pc ko more than 6 months akong nanuod ng mga videos about cpu, gpu and other components para dun sa benchmarks and perfomances nila. Its been 3 years since i build my pc and ayun happy pa din ako sa performance ng aking b450 tomahawk max, ryzen 3 3300x at gtx 1660s
Totally agree with the bottleneck, overemphasis talaga not just Pinoys but most talaga ganyan. My setup currently has Ryzen 5700x with a 4070ti Super, I made this set up due to my needs, VR gaming. GPU ang main usage and kailangan steady at 72hz/90hz/120hz dapat di up and down ang fps para di mahilo. kaya most of my games 95 - 100% GPU utilization while my CPu is only at around 80% for my VR games with steady fps. Perfect talaga for my VR gaming.
Like your target resolution and FPS and games that you usually play. Dun sa 3070ti I for one have it in my rig pero im happy naman since it serves its purpose well paired sa 5700x ko it makes for a decent 1440p above 100fps sa games na nilalaro ko.
future proofing is just another term for FOMO, they like to go with the trend pero beyond their use case naman yung unit, tapos maguupgrade kahit di pa outdated yung pc nila, at the end of the day ang mahalaga is use case at budget.
Very entertaining and informative video, HWS. It took me 1 yr to decide my pc build and ends up with 5600x + 3060. I'm too OC with parts so I stick with wellknown parts esp Asus, and Corsair. And also honestly you guys from HWS really helps me alot when it comes to pc parts. Kudos.
Agreed with Future Proofing and Hype. Future proofing is overrated. There are systems, platforms (R5 3600, i5-9600k) or even GPUs (1080ti, 1660S, 2070) still performing well in today's market. It all really depends on what you really need it for. Most of the AAA games as well cannot reflect the system's performance due to poor optimization and memory leaks. So spending too much now is not really saving money for the future. Hype on the other hand is a different mentality. People buy into the "must-have" culture even if they really don't need it. DDR5, statistically, is a 50% increase to the DDR4's performance but you almost never notice the difference. Same with the new GPUs. Must-have mentality will say that you get the 40 series cards of NVIDIA (which still costs too much btw) only to find out that it costs more on wattage, is bigger in size and overall unnecessary to a realistic degree. The cards are bigger, so you spend extra on a new case. It needs more power, so you buy a new PSU. It runs too hot, so you buy extra cooling parts. If you basically spend extra just to accommodate an expensive purchase, then that's totally on you. And as this video reiterates, do you really need it? Is it really necessary?
@@JohnnySyncs If you're on a budget, 1660 Super or a 2070 would be good for an i5-10th. If you wanna go for a smoother 1440p, a 3060/3060 ti would do. If it's AMD, a 6700/5700 XT would also be good. Of course, please keep in mind what your PSUs capacity would be. I'd recommend the 30series cards on a safe 650-750w PSU.
@@metaldude5978Thanks man. I might consider ang pinaka high niya na kaya na GPU, and that's the 3060 no? Yung PSU ko I don't know how to tell kasi if 30 series but it's model is Inplay GS750-ultra, okay na kaya to.
Ang ganda, sarap pakinggan, with a kick of humor and it brings some sense to building a PC that *fits you*. This might save a lot of couple from disputes😂
korek in reality any nvme m.2 gen is completely fine mas cheaper pa even going to OEM brand to avoid OP branded brand and get a higher capacity instead or just a regular SSD khit OEM will be a 100x better than old school HDD. for RAM 16gb is fine going 32 GB above depends on Use cases I.E. i play NFT games in emulator w/ mobile MMORPG on emulator in PC so what i need is minimum of 32GB which can easily get maximized by Android Emulator multi instances... The same for Core count TBH its better to for my use case an i7/r7 CPU instead of an i5/r5 and i9/r9 to threadripper or i9 XE are overkill for me. for GPU i want atleast 12GB vram GPU but is capable of 1440p but is not bottleneck with my CPU, For RAM im using a CL 19 4000mhz Samsung B-die kit so in order to maximize RAM performance i pick a 1080p 24inch monitor instead of a 27+inch 1440p why? i manually OC mine to 3733mhz CL16 with tightest timing possible for primary, secondary timings, Why 24inch 1080p not 27inch 1080? 24inch is the maximum for 1080p to avoid pixelation and 27inch is the starting monitor size for 1440p so in order to avoid getting a more expensive monitor with a trashy pixelation screen i rather go for a 24inch with no pixelation. I Did custom loop but this really are for people who want aesthetic and higher overclocking potential specially useful for ryzen PBO OC and will cost 50-100k+ meaning makaka 2 high end PC k na LOL. My biggest mistake is not getting a Mesh type front case but don't get me wrong i really like my Case it has a 1inch to 2.5inch allowance for cable management its a full tower case so it has a lot of space and a dedicated Pump Mount and vertical GPU mount all i did is to make some case mod and do a cable grommet mod and Front Mesh mod and some repainting. PSU going to a 80+ gold 850w fully modular this time to have a very very clean and easy cable management since its a double sided glass case.
Mistake 4 ay very common and quite understandable pero better not to tolerate it.
Dama ko yung Mistake no. 2 and 3, I'm also from IT Retail industry, and people worry too much for future proofing. They will buy future proof components which 1 year later palit nanaman (which is good for retailer since benta naman). As of the hype, madalas yan, kadalasan sa mga units/items na biglang nagbabagsak presyo kaya kadalasan nagsisisi sila. Also I will add another mistake is comparing price from another coutries. Madalas sila mag compare ng price sa ibang bansa kaya sabi ang mahal lagi dito sa PH compare sa US kaya lagi silang nabili from another countries without knowing na may tax pa yan and ends up na masnapamahal pa sila.
Hi boss, i need recommendation about buying GPU, ahmm nahihirapan po ako mamili kung ano ang best what would you suggest po? I have EX-H110-m-V mobo and i3-7100 , ang ni recommend po kasi saken is MSI RTX 3060 12gb oc which i know too much ung gap nila or bottle neck kung baga, any suggestion po for GPU na may 1080p res and can play smoothly on streaming and recording games,
Choices ko kasi, 4070 at 7900xt or 4080 at max. GPU nalang kasi kulang sa rig. Ryzen 7 7700,so AM5 at ASUS Tuf 750w Gold. 😅. I stayed with nvidia kasi pretty much all these times, napag-isipan kong lumipat ngayon. So ayun.. middle lang haha
If one is really itching to spend/splurge money of pc hardware without being guilty of "overspeccing" or "future-proofing", spend good monrey on a good power supply, a pure sine-wave UPS and on reliable brands of high-capacity SSDs (even 3rd gen will do as long as it has DRAM buffer and of TLC/MLC, avoid QLC ones). If galit ka talaga sa pera, you can indulge yourself on those fancy table, chair, keyboard, mice and most importantly a high quality screen/monitor. These thingsalmost do not become obsolete . . . .

Korek NZXT case are really bad they are only popular but dont get me wrong their new mesh case are good but for the price i rather pick a OEM Mesh steel case will only pick branded case for those case models with really good cable cover at the back and are fully modular but those are expense AF* better invest only upto mid ranger case and invest the rest to hardware
theres no such thing as future proofing dahil mabilis mag evolved ang technology depende sa budget mo parin ang mahalaga since yun ang goal mo . i have a r5 1600 cpu and nag upgrade lang ako recently ng gpu from 1060 to 3060ti. since nakita ko naman good price 3060ti at that time and now i rarely to never experience any bottleneck of any kind maybe minimal. and i am running 1080p games.
The 3070 ti was never for future proofing. A lot of reviewers (HU, GN, etc) warned that what will hold it back in the future is the limited vram. The fanboys just laughed it off and said they were over reacting.
Mistake 2 - VERY GOOD ADVICE! Until now (2024) ang dami ko pa din nakikitang recommendations sa mga FB group to buy much more expensive MOBO/CPU then buy a low-end GPU. Para daw "FUTURE PROOF" yun rig. Madali naman daw magpalit ng GPU. Kawawa yun mga newbie builders. Instead na makapag mid-end GPU with higher gaming performance "NOW", maghihintay pa sila ilang years para dun sa benefit ng "FUTURE PROOF". For example: A lot of people are suggesting for a B550M/Ryzen 5600 combo to pair with an RX 6600. Instead of going for B450M/Ryzen 5500 combo (~5K cheaper) then pair it with RX 7600 / RTX 4060 for a much better gaming performance (+20%-30%).
Same goes with RX580 and GTX 1650. A lot of people will shit on you if you try to build components within this gpus. Hindi nila kasi magets na PC Building does not need to be expensive/future proof. Just like what the video said. For what use ba? Esport games? Older triple A title? RX580 and GTX 1650 would be the best option. Madami mag suggest na "Hindi bro, go with (lapag ng gpu/cpu), not knowing a lot of people do not even give a shit about recent/future triple A games.
yes generally holding a mobo is fine the oily part is also generally nothing to worry about, www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/11g2orn/oily_residue_behind_the_motherboard/
Not all bottlenecks are bottlenecks per se. Like a mismatched CPU and GPU whereas the CPU can't get the GPU fed enough data hindering its true performance potential. We can call this a latency because the data is delayed coming from the CPU but there is no hint of a hindrance or bottleneck really. The data flows smoothly from CPU to GPU albeit slowly. But that is not the real definition of latency in computer terms. The term underloaded is more appropriate because of mismatched capabilities, the GPU is hopelessly underloaded by a slow CPU. But who use the word underload anyway?
I have my 4 yr old pc. Ryzen 1500 My new upgraded rtx 3050 28GB of ram and kuntento naman ako pero sabi ko din b4 gusto kong maging future proof ng pc ko. Pero mas okay na ko sa pc ku ngaun..
Wla nmn xiang sinabi na yung mga ganun brands are trash and underperformed .. i have darkflash dx240 Aio rin and to be honest okay nmn xia mag pa lamig ng cpu in fact kapag nagagames ako like warzone 2.0.. 51 Celsius ang pinaka mataas na temp niya unlike don sa deepcool na gammax ko 55 celsius ang temp full load
One trend I'm noticing with Filipino PC buyers is their obsession with pre-built PCs. I know not everyone has the time to research their parts and not everyone's in the hobby, but would it really hurt to look into what you're getting into for a little bit? Most shops don't even charge if you're building a custom PC with their parts.
Kahit nga may latest gen na ng processors, i5 6th gen pa rin gamit ko as my processor paired with 16gb DDR4, RX580 8gb 2048sp (ASUS ROG Strix) and H110 motherboard by Gigabyte... Lahat yan nabili ko ng 2nd hand... PSU ko brand new FSP HV-Pro 650w bronze certify. M.2 250gb SSD, 480gb SATA SSD and 1TB HDD naman mga storage ko. I said ok naman... Paano kung ala ka pang budget for those new gen na PC components? This is informative video at marami ako natutunan..

nothing wrong with it but you could change some parts to save on costs (unless you're really buying more high end since you plan to upgrade later) mobo - can change to a different, cheaper brand or an a520 psu - 550w is fine for this build

IMO, one of the bigger mistakes is NOT getting a Steam Deck,ROG Ally, or any handheld PC kung yung desktop build mo is real close to their prices, pero subverted siya by the fact na pwedeng palitan yung parts ng desktop kumpara sa handhelds pero out of love na ako sa laptop with the rise of handheld PCs since pwede nilang gamitin yung mga wireless peripherals mo when necessary.
Another mistake, when you buy the HX10 series motherboard from Intel or the AX20 series motherboard from AMD, please for the love of god, don't buy Ryzen 7 and 9 or Core i7 and i9, those CPUs are very powerful and can't handle cheap motherboards, they only handle like BX60, HX70, and ZX90 series motherboards from Intel or BX50 and XX70 series motherboards from AMD, buy Core i3 and i5 or Ryzen 3 and 5 instead, they are good value CPUs fro cheap motherboards.

Korek NZXT case are really bad they are only popular but dont get me wrong their new mesh case are good but for the price i rather pick a OEM Mesh steel case will only pick branded case for those case models with really good cable cover at the back and are fully modular but those are expense AF* better invest only upto mid ranger case and invest the rest to hardware
boss any recommendation na build for a 45k budget
"be happy with what you have" ❤
best advice
Ryzen 5 5600G
Mobo MSI x570 Gaming plus
Galax Rtx 3060ti 8GB
M.2 kingston 1 TB
2x8gb 16 GB ram
PSU MSI 650 mag
AiO MSI mag 240
Aoc 24 inch gaming monitor 165hz
theres no such thing as future proofing dahil mabilis mag evolved ang technology depende sa budget mo parin ang mahalaga since yun ang goal mo . i have a r5 1600 cpu and nag upgrade lang ako recently ng gpu from 1060 to 3060ti. since nakita ko naman good price 3060ti at that time and now i rarely to never experience any bottleneck of any kind maybe minimal. and i am running 1080p games.
Intindihin mo muna pinapanood mo 😂
@@Zehahahahahahahahahahahaha 🤣
The 3070 ti was never for future proofing. A lot of reviewers (HU, GN, etc) warned that what will hold it back in the future is the limited vram. The fanboys just laughed it off and said they were over reacting.
Mistake 2 - VERY GOOD ADVICE!
mga FB group to buy much more expensive MOBO/CPU then buy a low-end GPU. Para daw "FUTURE PROOF"
yun rig. Madali naman daw magpalit ng GPU.
Kawawa yun mga newbie builders. Instead na makapag mid-end GPU with higher gaming performance "NOW",
For example: A lot of people are suggesting for a B550M/Ryzen 5600 combo to pair with an RX 6600.
Instead of going for B450M/Ryzen 5500 combo (~5K cheaper) then pair it with RX 7600 / RTX 4060
for a much better gaming performance (+20%-30%).
I would also like to have the latest and the greatest PC components bur real life gets in the way.😁
yes generally holding a mobo is fine
the oily part is also generally nothing to worry about, www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/11g2orn/oily_residue_behind_the_motherboard/
HI, Can I ask, what is the best GPU upgrade for Ryzen 5 5600g for 1440p gaming at least mid settings? I prefer AMD cards,
6600 XT or 6700 XT when i asked before.
Man i have never enjoyed a video about PC like this. Good video very informative tas katuwa pa mga clips AHHAHAAHHAAH
Gigil si boss 9:47
hahahahaha . "wala namang alam yang mga hayop na yan eh"
One mistake i made this year, pinanood ko tong video na to. Gusto ko tuloy bumili ng 4070ti. Hahahahahahahha
Rocky naman kasi...
Ok. I think the best way to say it is. A non optimum CPU makes an under utilized GPU.
quality content, medyo tinamaan ako hahahaha
Mistake 6 yung gumagamit parin ng Secure Avr
I admire that pc case.
Mistake 6: Aesthetics over performance
Definitely guilty of this too. ITX FOREVER!
I have my 4 yr old pc.
Mistake no 6
Pailaw muna bago performance
Ouch! May darkFlash AIO pa naman ako...
Wla nmn xiang sinabi na yung mga ganun brands are trash and underperformed .. i have darkflash dx240 Aio rin and to be honest okay nmn xia mag pa lamig ng cpu in fact kapag nagagames ako like warzone 2.0.. 51 Celsius ang pinaka mataas na temp niya unlike don sa deepcool na gammax ko 55 celsius ang temp full load
and its a wrong notion that high price of a particular part equates performance
One trend I'm noticing with Filipino PC buyers is their obsession with pre-built PCs. I know not everyone has the time to research their parts and not everyone's in the hobby, but would it really hurt to look into what you're getting into for a little bit? Most shops don't even charge if you're building a custom PC with their parts.
we don't (charge for the build as long as you get the majority of parts from us :)
Ouch sa Mistake #3 :( Hahaha
ok lang yan ochi! In your case, gamit na gamit naman talaga components mo hahaha
Kahit nga may latest gen na ng processors, i5 6th gen pa rin gamit ko as my processor paired with 16gb DDR4, RX580 8gb 2048sp (ASUS ROG Strix) and H110 motherboard by Gigabyte... Lahat yan nabili ko ng 2nd hand... PSU ko brand new FSP HV-Pro 650w bronze certify. M.2 250gb SSD, 480gb SATA SSD and 1TB HDD naman mga storage ko. I said ok naman... Paano kung ala ka pang budget for those new gen na PC components? This is informative video at marami ako natutunan..
ASUS ROG STRIX B550 F GAMING WIFI II
RYZEN 5 5600G
DELTA BLACK 8GBX2 3200MHZ RGB CL16
750 WATTS PSU KEYTECH
KNIGHT ARMOR BLACK CASE
240GB SSD RAMSTA
1TB WESTERN DIGITAL HDD
NVISION 24INCH MONITOR
ok lang po ba to?
nothing wrong with it but you could change some parts to save on costs (unless you're really buying more high end since you plan to upgrade later)
mobo - can change to a different, cheaper brand or an a520
psu - 550w is fine for this build
Salamat po Sir. Rocky. HWS. sumasagot talaga kau sa mga comments. 😊
Opo, kaya ung mobo na b550 asus kasi I'm planning later for an upgrade for much more powerful cpu and hopefully pag may budget na makabili na rin ng dedicated graphic card. 🙏 salamat po ulit. ❤
Future proof. Or baka gusto nila mag host ng A.I.
Although meron ng AI but our current technology is not yet there.
SUBBED!!
except let's not lump in Darkflash together with IDCooling. IDCooling is a tier or two higher than Darkflash
is it? not arguing, just generally curious
we sold a few of their items before but not enough for us to get a sense of their reliability
8:07 saklaugh
IMO, one of the bigger mistakes is NOT getting a Steam Deck,ROG Ally, or any handheld PC kung yung desktop build mo is real close to their prices, pero subverted siya by the fact na pwedeng palitan yung parts ng desktop kumpara sa handhelds pero out of love na ako sa laptop with the rise of handheld PCs since pwede nilang gamitin yung mga wireless peripherals mo when necessary.
That's not a mistake. This should be a matter of preference.
@@Lypaips true enough, liberty of choice is just as important.
first
"real talk" to the pc building community.
Muntik ng ma hype sa 4060 ti 🤣
6th mistake, chasing frames. frames don't win games. your skill wins games. kung noob ka, walang silbe yung 13900k/7950x3d + 4090 mo.
Yung sasagad sa CPU and GPU pero garantisabog yung PSU.
"garantisabog" 😄
Another mistake, when you buy the HX10 series motherboard from Intel or the AX20 series motherboard from AMD, please for the love of god, don't buy Ryzen 7 and 9 or Core i7 and i9, those CPUs are very powerful and can't handle cheap motherboards, they only handle like BX60, HX70, and ZX90 series motherboards from Intel or BX50 and XX70 series motherboards from AMD, buy Core i3 and i5 or Ryzen 3 and 5 instead, they are good value CPUs fro cheap motherboards.
😂😂😂 I think I'm guilty of all of these. 😂😂😂
Ssssssssh! Video debut niya soon!

Mr. Suave bigote.🤣
Sir Anton's evil multi-verse twin hahaha
build mistake = Malaki yung case na puro RGB tapos mini atx yung board
Yung luha talaga habang nakatingala e HAHA
