I suspect the one on the left hand side of the steering wheel is the one for the stereo and the one on the right hand side of the steering wheel is for the cruise control - you do switch on the cruise control on the right hand indicator stick - then the right hand side of the cereal are the buttons to set cruise - Either Rescoast or set it to - or + My own TH-cam channel is called:Bill's Channel - sta I do have a few videos already uploaded on the at the moment and also I am putting a few more on the early this morning too.
the skirt under the doors is very very thin metal not like fender almost painted tin and sealed poorly behind front mud guards with just crusty old silicon sealer or some thing even worse brakes down and moisture and dirt gets behind this long non removable panel bellow door and it rusts out maybe let that dry out really nice? and seal it up nicer at front and back very thin opening hard to find exact spot but i would.
Great video! Had the same problem - Cruise control is easy to replace, just needs patients no doubt. Have the same model navy blue ( resprayed) 1998 - EL paid $800.00 three years later last offer $5000.00 with many extras and everything just works. Check out Man Caves video for a 'white' EL Falcon, very clean unit. Very hard to find a good condition EL. Worth keeping for project or just a family / work vehicle or seek out your white EL if that what you want! Brake light switches replacement is challenge. Cheers mate, they are nice cars the E series, I’m still unsure on what I’m going to do with it at the moment, it’s a clean original car, Barra swapping it might not be the go with this one, might just leave it alone, yeah the E series falcons are starting to come up in price a bit and yeah getting harder to find a clean one now, $800 for is a bargain if it’s clean and tidy, I’ve done a bit more things to this Fairmont but they are in upcoming videos that I haven’t uploaded to TH-cam yet, will check that Man Caves video 👍
