  • At the 2019 HDT West Coast Rally we had the opportunity to see a number of custom HDT builds. Pat and Stacy were gracious enough to let us video their custom build and it is awesome! With a Tiny House theme they built a self contained HDT RV that is a boondockers dream!

    Sweet Rig! So much attention to detail and starting off with a safe, sane and sound rig before even building seems smart. It looks fabulous, but I was dying to hear the sound system! Have Fun n Be Safe😃

    After seeing a few of your videos, I'm beginning to think there's a reason why all these HDT's end up in the same place, the places are all nicely paved, and the interviewed HDT'ers are always boon-docking.

    You can tell Pat is painfully nervous. Awesome build he did a great job. So much nicer than what you can buy but for a manufacture to make that would be pretty expensive. Maybe Stacy could add here favorite color doing a small border around the accordion cover that was not trimmed as sweet as Pat wanted. Just a little strip all the way around and that can add some color for the young lady. Pat and Stacy should practice showing it because so many people would love to see their brain child and then maybe they can alleviate some of the nervousness. One of my favorite rigs.

    If you ever see this builder again let him know that the folding shower he is talking about is no longer made. The company that made it was called Supiot out of France and they are now out of business, seems demand was not enough to sustain a company. I was looking for something like it for a small cabin and after a few years of searching new and used markets I have found nothing so I am guessing that unless someone goes to France, it will be almost if not fully impossible.
    I like what this man and his family were able to build, I was hoping to do something similar with a Peterbilt 379 for my retirement but finding someone to build the new sleeper seems like it will be either I do it or deal with cheap crap.

    • @itzanopinion
      @itzanopinion 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're still looking for someone to build a new sleeper for your rig, check out either *LegacySleepers.com* or *BoltCustom.com* ~ heard a lot of good things about both and a few channels that I follow who are into Hot Shot Trucking have used both sleepers and like em!

    An open plan rv, doesn't really work, who want to look at a toilet, shower and tools, a bit more thought would make this an amazing vehicle.

  • @nightfall22

    Lol although I think Pat felt a little uncomfortable in front of the camera him and his family built a stunning rig. Brother, I must ask....how tall are you because you’re dunking on Pat and Stacey or are they small people? Haha. Cool that he did all of this in my neck of the woods in Orange County California.

    • @SuiteTravels
      @SuiteTravels  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Any ideas of getting a HDT like Pat and Stacy? HDT contained pulling a towable on a trailer. Thanks.

    • @SuiteTravels
      @SuiteTravels  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A self contained HDT has crossed our minds, but we really prefer separate units. That's one of the reasons we wouldn't consider a Class A for our travels. If one or the other had to be serviced for an extended period of time then you loose both your vehicle and home.....just our thoughts. Thanks again for watching!
