Thank you for bringing their inspiring story to us. My husband was diagnosed a year ago with Parkinsons and since that time, I have learned how to hook up and drive with our trailer. It is important to keep moving and doing the things you enjoy!
If you, or a loved one, are inflicted with Parkinsons please check out dancing Argentine Tango. Not only is it fun, sensual, intimate, and a great way to stay active, but it is also known to be one of the best ways to help your body find new nerve paths to communicate with your muscles. As you may already know bicycle riding is a more traditional activity to help keep the big P at bay. I have a good friend who rides to promote, and fund raise, for the Davis Phinney foundation. Keep up the good fight!!
My father has Parkinsons. Movement is the best thing for Parkinsons. When he gets to the point that he is shuffing check out the Big and Loud program at the North Austin medical center in Austin Texas. They can retrain him to walk. They can help with speech and small motor muscle. It is a great program and it really works.
No Mark no train horns on the pickup. You will give little old ladies heart stacks on the highway! Kudos to Caleb for showing so much respect to this man. Says a lot about how he was raised.
As a retired career diesel/truck/locomotive mechanic. I now have a serious case of Peterbilt envy. Let alone seeing two great people living their best life who's not letting life's potholes slow you down or get in your way. I loved every second of this video!! Keep on trucking down the path of life!!!!! One note though: My mechanics eye noticed a loose frame rail bolt when you were looking at the fifth wheel mounting arrangement.
My heart goes out to Mark. So encouraged by their attitudes to just keep going. On Father’s Day weekend 2019 I was in an accident trying to cover our trailer and blew my right tibia into 28 pieces. Due to infection I almost lost the leg. Also my wife is legally blind but that was not going to keep us from enjoying RVing. Thanks to our friends and the RV community there is never a shortage of help in setting up or breaking down. We just moved to Idaho with our RVing friends and I’ve just transitioned to walking without assistance. We can’t wait to explore next year.
Thanks for sharing their story. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in October 2018. My wife and I decided we were going to keep traveling and enjoying the outdoors for as long as we could. There are a few things she has to help me with and driving is one. I am so blessed to have every minute I get to spend with her doing what we love to do. God Bless and safe travels.
I totally understand, my husband is a cancer Survivor, with COPD. He is retired, I’m recently retired, I have been learning everything I can so I can help him, or if he is having a bad day I can take over. I can do everything but back up and I will be working on that. 🙏✌️
Love their story. My Husband has Parkinson’s as well and we were able to full-time RV for two years before I got lonely for my grandkids. Love watching your videos makes me still want to go out there and do it
I'm emotionally touched because my wife has 2 terminal diseases. To help her get out some on short trips in our Navion, I'm adding 7200watts lithium and 800watts solar to our Victron 12/3000/120 inverter system. Mark and Marilyn's continued push to live outside the box encourged me, in a way hard to explain, to keep on till all options exaused. Wife and I traveled the world, lived across the U.S. and in Rota Spain. We were Outdoorsy: backpacking, kayaking, hiking, boating and watersports, motorcycling, bicycling, and renovated 3 homes. Live life now, not someday....we have no regrets and will go until there is no tomorrow. Thanks!
My grandfather had Parkinson's Disease. I was young so I don't really remember much, but, he did have a small Airstream and we would go up to the mountains until he couldn't drive anymore. I'm so happy to see these guys out and living the dream despite the obvious challenges. My hat is off to them.
Mark and Trish thank you for the humane treatment and explanation of his medical condition. Some people watching the video knew immediately what the situation was, but for many who are not familiar with the uncontrollable motions your kind explanation not only educated your viewers but it spared Mark and Marlin the necessity to explain it for the potentially umpteenth time. One of the KYD mantras is just get going with whatever you have. This couple not only demonstrates the mantra, but they are showing everyone if you put your mind to a task there is nothing they or you can’t do. Bravo one of your best videos.
He REALLY understands mechanical things!! I live in Michigan, so I’m going to be on the lookout for them. I hope they can keep traveling for a long time.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the summer of 2018 . This summer my wife and I did a 4 week 6 states 3600 mile trip then home for 2weeks then back out for 2 week 3 states an 1400 mile . Then home to help with the grandkids . Every morning I getup to see what venture is in store for me. I just keep doing what I enjoy. RVing and Flyfishing.
The first thing I thought was how spoiled they were. Then after watching the video, I seen what a beautiful couple they were. Not only were they intelligent beyond belief, they still knew what was important in life…family, health, and pets to keep all of us grounded and sane. And, last but not least, I liked the piece of advice she gave to just get out there and do it. So, spoiled? Nope I think they’re a wonderful couple that has been very blessed with all kinds of things, but most of all, each other.
It’s so nice to see people who inspire others 🙃😉🙂. My late father’s brother in-law qualified as a chemist and invented non-drip paint in this country. He had Parkinson’s disease and later couldn’t make it out for a meal with us whenever we visited him. So it’s really inspiring to see Mark grinding and pushing back against ill health along with his lovely wife, Marilyn supporting him. Keep living so many peoples dreams guys, all our love and best wishes from this side of the pond here in England (Brexitland 🤭🇪🇺).
My wife Laurel is just starting to pull our rig. She said the best advice to others is train your husband to be a better passenger lol...im learning lol
I missed you too, but this was worth the wait. Marilyn thank you for being strong and supportive, letting everyone know that love is strong and Mark thank you for taking the time to be with the Kyd family. The truck and rig is gorgeous. Keep following you dreams.
Love this interview, I remember as a kid riding along side of a semi my father allowed us to wave the the truckers to blow their horns. Hearing the siren go off brought back memories. My prayers goes out to them both, having fun living and being thankful.
Love this episode!!!! Total respect for this gentleman being a pilot, a mechanic and an overall wonderful person. His wife is a delight! Hats off for driving that wonderful rig. Also, I’m a HUGE fan of Peterbuilt and KW!!! Anyone remember the series Move’in On???
Please tell Mark my best friend was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and she had the DBS surgery. This has made her disease more manageable. There is a window of time in the disease process where it can be done. Praying for management of his disease!
What a beautiful story. This should show alot of folks that even when your hit with Parkinson's or any other medical situation you can still go out and enjoy life. This is their enjoyment and they are doing it. GOD BLESS THEM
I pull our trailer with a peterbilt, but that’s beside the point. This guy has unbelievable knowledge despite his disability it’s absolutely amazing!!!
Such a breathtaking and luxurious Semi + 45' Luxe Trailer owned by Marc & Marilyn!! Amazing and nice people and love that Marc is marching on doing what he loves to do yet at a slower pace. So beautiful to see wonderful people on both sides come together!!
I didn’t realize you weren’t having a video last week, maybe I missed the announcement so I was worried……so glad all is well and you are back !!! That rig is crazy, I hope they get many years to enjoy it !!!!!!!! Blessings
Dang Mark has so much confidence. It is very hard for anyone to admit that they aren’t doing their job as well as they should. Admitting to yourself is hard enough, but to say it on camera…… hats off to you sir
As a mechanic I would absolutely love to talk to him about engines and stuff like that!!! Turbos running off heat is such a good explanation!!!! Even after all my years in school I’ve never had a teacher or anyone describe it that way! It it totally makes sense!!
So cool to meet Mark & Marilyn in this video. To have just a fraction of the skill of Mark! Sailing, Piloting, Mechanic, Racing, etc. What an amazing individual! Great video & awesome rig!
I've watched you guys for a year or more now and I just subscribed. What a touching story with this couple. My husband was diagnosed 8 years ago with Parkinson's. We have been living full time in our 42' 5th wheel for almost 5 years now. Just got back to our home base a month ago. I had to do a lot of the driving for the first time on this last trip, and I was scared!! But I found my confidence and I love that I can give my husband a break from driving. Just have to learn how to back up this monster!! 🤣 Can't wait to hit the road again after the holidays. Thank you for sharing your journey and friends with us...💜
Great inspirational video. Thank you for creating and sharing. Priceless, though, is the train horns...Caleb's sheer enthusiasm (as if he needs any) as he lept around the corner upon hearing them and Trica's long lying utter distain for Marc's. Priceless!
This journey and story really hit my heart. We just purchased a Peterbilt 387 2010 which needs a lot of love and our DRV Fullhouse 2020 JX450 should be ready for pick up late November. Your life is what dreams are made. You work hard your whole life sometimes without a rest and then your mid sixties whisper (re-evaluate your life) Husband with cancer in 2017, dog with cancer now. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Just make the time and go! Cannot wait to pull with our Peter, but for now it's build time with the deck on the semi and 5th wheel. This couple (both couples and family's) are inspirations for us all. We might be penniless when we're through setting the rigs up, but the bottom line is you cannot take it with you when the heavens call, just live in the here and now! Thank you for sharing it really touched me!
Mark and Marilyn are inspirational. I started watching RV videos to prepare for our future while on leave for stage 4 cancer. Working on strength and endurance before starting my next treatments. I cannot imagine how much knowledge Mark has and can articulate effectively. He is a very good teacher as Marilyn said and you captured a taste of it in this video.
Respect for those guys and they are so right. Live and enjoy no matter what. I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome type III 10 years ago at age 40. The diagnose came after years and years of going in and out of hospital but no-one knew what was wrong with me. It's a rear Connective tissue disorder. I've got hyper mobility witch means that I can twist a joint out of the socket at any time... Even when I'm sleeping. The whole body is made of connective tissue so I've got problems with my heart, my stomach, my bowls, eyes etc etc. So, our dreams of traveling and seeing the world when we retired went out the window... So we thought.....!!! We were able to buy a caravan (small for American point of views but we love it) and John's employer gave us time. Time to travel no that I'm still able to. I have an electric wheelchair aldough I can still walk small distances (but everything has its price, I don't have much energy and have to be careful were to spend that specious energy on). I use extra oxygen at night. I need a special mattress with a custom made orthesis so I can't turn myself around at night and twist a joint. I need a brace for my nek, fingers, wrists. Need custom made shoes. And A LOT of medicines. So That caravan is so important. We can take everything with us and the beds are made. Although I'm in pain 24/7 I enjoy life. Thanks to all the people helping us and most of all John's employer, we were able to travel Italy and Sicilië for 3 months this year. It was so wonderful. Hopefully we can make one more big trip to France and Portugal. We keep on going until my legs stop. And I think even then we will find ways to travel. Thanks for sharing you story! Lot's of love from the Netherlands, Daniëlle 😘🙋
Mark and Trish... You guys as a family, are truly amazing!!! I've been watching you for over three years now! This video just made me like you on another level. Caleb is always doing something quirky in the background lol. But in this video it truly shows how you raised your kids to be respectful to those who are in trying times. MAD respect to you guys and to Caleb, you have moved to another level of love that I have for you. But most of all!!! Thank you Mark and Marilyn for your story!!!
My wife and I are just starting our journey , we sold our home and most of our possessions and bought a Minnie Winnie 31k class c rv . Anyway the reason for this message is to tell both your wife and you ( thank you ) for being who you guys are which in return inspired us :)
Makes one feel special, getting to drive one indeed, as I've driven several, and it's always been a treat to drive what we would call the 'long nose' Peterbilt (or Kenworths for that matter). The majority I drove where standard transmissions, but now that I've been retired for 6 or so years, I can look back at the enjoyable portions of driving these big rigs. Then again, having that career, albeit only for 10 years, has made the transition to our current diesel pusher Tiffin motorhome too. Beautiful truck, beautiful people...always nice when you can share your experiences with other guests you've met along the way Marc/Trish! As always, great editing on your video's as well, in that many of us understand the time commitments to get them 'just' right! Stay safe!!
What a sweet couple! Boy the smile on Mark's face when he shared the train horns. I think Marilyn added some bling to her KYD Sweatshirt 💓 Thanks for sharing.
What an awesome, beautiful, unique rig. It makes quite a statement turning into the property. And the horn is ridiculously wonderful. Imagine being a kid and signaling the driver to sound his air horn and getting that(!) as your reward. This made my day.
I really loved meeting Marcus & Margaret. Enjoyed seeing their beautiful 2022 Peterbilt 389, along with the tour of their RV. So beautiful! Loved the master bath, the extra space in the bedroom, & the horn too! It was so good to see you Trish, Mark, Caleb, & of course, high paws to Charlie. Looking forward to your next video.
What an inredible video and inspirational couple. All of you are absolutely the best. Great message - and timely for a number of us who are having increasing health issues with advancing age. Love you all !!!
There is a very nice group of Ladies that all drive HDT trucks with their 5th wheels and have gatherings around the country. Very nice looking rig. Thanks for the uplifting attitude also, I lean into it every day keep moving forward. Now get Trish behind the wheel. Stay safe and healthy.
That rig is incredible!! But the people behind the wheel are even more incredible. In hard times sometimes you need motivation. You have motivated me. Thank you.
We haven't hit the road yet as one of us can't retire for 2 more years. I enjoy discovering these videos that inspire and educate what others are experiencing as full time RVers. The "hand" reference cracked me up. I knew exactly what it was when she said it. May you all have safe travels.
Actually, we aren’t full timers either. We would be called ‘any timers’. Still have our home, and a college student, but come and go as we please. I probably shouldn’t have said we were only staying in Michigan for the first two years, we love the whole midwest! Until we figure out what and where, for now, we are thinking about an early spring Route 66. Haha, the “hand”…😂
Very inspiring video with Mark and Marilyn! Just like a license plate on a jeep pulled by a Class A “NoWhatifs”. Glad seeing you guys back on. Can’t wait to see how Caleb uses his laughing button.
This couple is pretty amazing. The assembled Russian mig, the yaught, the funny car dragster, the 747 flying, this home pulled by custom auto shifting (but still a manual) 18spd Peterbilt. It's pretty mind blowing.
What a great video and story. I am a PT and am constantly encouraging people to strive higher and not allow their diagnosis to define them. I will use this story when I am treating patients. Thank you Mark and Marilyn for being an inspiration!
Thanks guys for this. Mark and Marilyn are such an inspiration especially to those of us with a disease that can seem to keep us down either mentally or physically. God Bless all of you.
What a wonderful sense of Adventure this couple has and nothing is going to get in their way as they follow the road to the next Horizon, God Bless Them and Happy Trails. Marc and Trish you also set the Bar High forever Searching for What’s Out-there and I think it’s served you well as it’s what draws us to you every week. Thank you for putting this episode together it’s inspiring on so many levels. 😊👍👍👍
I've been having to deal with mobility issues my whole life. It must be difficult to be so active and then have to deal with his diagnosis. They have the right outlook. Great video.
WOW!! Such inspiration! Our family is also having to deal with that terrible disease.. We are from northern Michigan, and we would like to let them know about the Richard Crane memorial semi trucks show and light parade that happens every September in St Ignace Michigan, that would be an AWESOME rig to see in the parade of lights over the Mackinaw Bridge…. Any way hopefully this can be forwarded to Mark and Marylyn thanks!
I have been looking at the Luxe 48FB Toyhauler and this video is really pushing my threshold of restraint to trading off my 3895 Voltage. I have thought about a class 8 truck but the maintenance and repair cost have kept me at bay. I have thought about a F550 Lariat with a Utility Bodywerks Elite 84 bed. I LOVE the TRAIN HORNS!!! This is a great format for a change up of videos. I like seeing other peoples rigs and hearing their stories, especially great people like this. It looks like Trish and Charlie want a Luxe. ;)
This video was so heartwarming! What a lovely couple! Thank you Marc and Trish! Life is so short and sometimes “shitty” this couple is a great example of making the best of a poopy situation! So happy for them to continue to travel and enjoy life! 🎊🎉 what a great example for others who are too afraid to live! 😍😍😍
The worst part of entering an elite rig like the Luxe is that stepping back in your own just wouldn't be the same. Great Video. My wife and I really Love your family and all you share. You guys are the best. Keep the videos coming. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing such a positive and inspiring story. It reminded me of how lucky we are just being here and that there are hero's who walk among us.
Hey it’s Matt from Matt’s RV Review! I really gotta get me some of your stickers. I was just telling someone this weekend to check out your videos. They are in the market.
That is awesome! Inspiring story. I am also the main driver of our Super C, and handle most of the setting up/tearing down. My husbands health is an issue, but you just have to do it! Don’t wait do it now! Thumbs up from the truckers always make my day. Elite group, I worked with them for 10 years, kept them on the road. Safe travels!
12mins in and I completely endorse this video, it's characters, and all the content... Approved.
I hadn't looked at comments yet, but as soon as I heard that I had to scroll down to find you. Love the interplay between youtubers I enjoy so much!
I totally agree JD what an awesome video of this Peterbuilt and Luxe RV.
Haha!!
Hahaha
Mike I did the same thing
Thank you for bringing their inspiring story to us. My husband was diagnosed a year ago with Parkinsons and since that time, I have learned how to hook up and drive with our trailer. It is important to keep moving and doing the things you enjoy!

just another reminder that..
this is what happens when u work hard your whole life
u get to buy stuff like this.
awsome guys.
No Mark no train horns on the pickup. You will give little old ladies heart stacks on the highway! Kudos to Caleb for showing so much respect to this man. Says a lot about how he was raised.

Thanks for noticing and you do have a good eye.
those are just plug bolts I didn’t tighten I wasn’t sure if I‘s gonna leave in there or not
A damn good woman standing by her man....That’s rare and refreshing 🇺🇸👍
My heart goes out to Mark. So encouraged by their attitudes to just keep going. On Father’s Day weekend 2019 I was in an accident trying to cover our trailer and blew my right tibia into 28 pieces. They sure are!
Does this qualify as a "Dually"?
This truck is completely under sized for this trailer.
@@beerbelly6670 LOL
I came to the comments just to see you chime in. Your content is priceless by the way.
Wow! This episode turned into so much more than the Luxe and Peterbuilt!
Absolutely love Marc and Marilyn!

Two great couples in this video with lots of great stories to share! God bless you
I love seeing someone not give up on life, just because life threw them a bad curveball. Hearing his story and his determination is amazing.

"You could have an alternate ticker, too." 🤣 I have often wanted the alternate version.

Very inspiring, Danielle! I'm glad you have found ways to keep on keeping on. Thank you for sharing your story.
@@vicki2153 your very welcome Vicki. 🙋
What an inspiring couple. Boys & their horns.
Thanks for sharing your story and beautiful Rig and camper
Yay! Glad you’re back! Happy Sunday KYD Family…. Missed you last Sunday
My wife and I are just starting our journey , we sold our home and most of our possessions and bought a Minnie Winnie 31k class c rv . Anyway the reason for this message is to tell both your wife and you ( thank you ) for being who you guys are which in return inspired us :)
Mark, you have to get air horns on your truck like the ones on this Peterbilt. 🙉 Trish will love them!😂
Great video, my Mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease so I understand how inspiring their story truly is. We wish them all the best.
Strength and love shown in abundance as well as encouragement to keep pressing through life. GOD bless you all.
As a thirty-two year trucker, and a ten year RVer, this is pushing ALL my buttons!
Roll On, Big Mama!
Great couple and video. That”s what marriage should be about…she’s got him and he’s got her (Solid unit). Thanks for sharing.
Listening to this man speak on the mechanical dynamics of trailering was inspiring, he laid it out in layman's terms with few words
Wow, God Bess you Mark and Marilyn! You’re both so inspiring and make it look easy!
❤️
Really missed you guys last week! Always look forward to a new video.
I work for American Airlines and this episode brought joy to my heart ❤ Happy to see a fellow aviation colleague living his dream!!
It looks like Trish and Charlie want a Luxe. ;)
That little dig on JD @btbrv was great. I'm sure he'll chuckle at it if not already.
God Bless you and your Wife for sharing and doing the road together! Hell, being empty nesters!
The worst part of entering an elite rig like the Luxe is that stepping back in your own just wouldn't be the same. Great Video. My wife and I really Love your family and all you share. You guys are the best. Keep the videos coming. Thanks for sharing.
Now this is the true meaning of the word RIG! 👍🏼
Thank you for sharing such a positive and inspiring story. It reminded me of how lucky we are just being here and that there are hero's who walk among us.
I love it . My Dad was an aircraft (AP) mechanic commercial Brings back memories
Did she say “Oh yeah, Smokey and the bandit” love it!!!!
Here is a truck that I think JD from BTBRV can approve of!
They just commented on that in the video Matt 🤣🤣🤣
Lol. I think you’re right.
Hey it’s Matt from Matt’s RV Review! I really gotta get me some of your stickers. I was just telling someone this weekend to check out your videos. They are in the market.
@@jamieusnvetdelaware1278 your sierra neveda recovery is insane!
He would still say it would be shy of payload!!😂😂😂😂
What an awesome video this week Marc and Trish. Thanks to you friends for sharing their adventure with this Luxe and Peterbuilt.
Sundays are happy days!
Omg. My uncle had Parkinson. Its so sad to watch someone u love go through it. In my prayers. God bless this family
❤️
Next week on KYD: Marc installs a Train Horn on the Ford. 👍🏻
Our Sunday is now complete again, KYD is BACK 💪🏼👊🏼🤙🏼😎😊 What a great tour, amazing people, and yusssss... that would be sooooo fun to drive!!
Great video of someone that doesn't let anything stop him for reaching for the Brass Ring! Super Video Guys!
