    I have had one of these since 2014 in my F-150. Two things that they need to improve, one is the sides, they flex out and bind on the wheel wells, two is the release handle, it needs to be better placed so you are not so liable to pinch your fingers under the handle (make it accessible from the top) I got the 3/4 length pull out, I regret not getting the 100% pull out so I don't have to lean into the bed to get to my tool box. I am a wildland firefighter and have pulled this out and slept on it and all else is good about it.

    I have one. I like the ease of use but hate it for two important factors: It's exactly 48" wide so fitting a standard sheet of plywood is so tight it won't fit. Second, the standard length of plywood is 96". You guessed it, I can't close my tailgate. Now for the first comment. I have a 2016 8' bed Toyota Tundra. I measured the distance between the wheel wells. There is at least 1.5 inches of clearance each side. The unit could have been wider. Cargo Glide stated to me they couldn't build one to accommodate just my truck. However I've had Dodge, Chevy, and Fords and all have much wider than 48" between wheel well. Second comment; my truck's bed is 97.5" clear inside. The front metal panel could have been 1" forward and have enough room for an 8' sheet. So this unit is great for everything but a standard size piece of plywood.

      Thank you for your comment this was exactly what I was wondering so if a unit was made to fit exactly you would gain several cubic inches of extra storage

    The sliding tray needs to be wider to hold more items.

    Just ah thought here anyone else think aluminum or some other steel should be used other than plywood for the bed seems like plywood is what you don't want

    How much vertical real estate does the cargo slide take? We have a set of storage boxes which may be too tall?

    How much weight does this add to the truck?

      +Russ Tanner,
      These cargo gliders usually add about 100-120 lbs depending on the bed length. You can also get them with upgraded options that will increase the weight like a different deck material and side rails.

    Can this mount on top of a Decked cargo system?

      This would be something you can accomplish. The brackets would just need to be modified to attach to the Decked system.

    Seems to me it takes up too much vertical space. Especially if you have a tonneau cover and want to haul something... How thick (tall) is this?

    Will this work with a Retrax rolling cover?

    • @frosty6910
      @frosty6910 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you ever get one? I am looking to get this and the Retrax roller cover on my Ford F-150. I was wondering what the remaining height turns out to be between the cargo slide and the top of the roller cover. What truck do you have and what clearance do you get? What height is it from your bed to the roller cover?

    Am I the only one who thinks these are a waste of space? I guess you would have to have a specific truck for that. Otherwise I feel like it takes up a lot of use from the bed
