I just got home from work, got comfy in my sofa and opened TH-cam for enjoyable videos and I see this: MatoJelic uploaded a video 1 minute ago. Could this day be any better?
that is what I wondered too, and I dont know why Mato is so careless about these important variations... CxG6, then Rook f7.... with threat of Rg7 and Nf7 check mate, seems unstoppable
I dont want to write everything down but I believe the white queen can take the bishop on h4 and if black recaptures with his queen then a forced mate will happen? correct me if im wrong. 7:05
Pretty sure white will be up a rook if 24. Qxh4 exf5, 25. Qxd8 Rxd8. I can't seem to find any forced mate white has though after 24. Qxh4 Qxh4. The white's light-squared bishop has to retreat as any other move will allow for 25...exf5. 25. Bxe6 or Bxg6 is responded by knight takes which still protects the f8 square and white's dark-squared bishop is under attack still.
This game is also a Queen's Indian. Engine calls it equal until 11.Nxe5 (as Mato said). White's slight advantage starts to grow at move 16, as Black pursues a strange Qside attack in the face of White's Kside buildup. By the time White plays 21.Ne5, Black is lost (+16 or worse). Except that White dawdled! He could have played Ne5 sooner. Or 21.Rxf3, instead of h4. Black resigned with White's advantage having eroded a lot. White had good strategy, but imprecise tactics.
If black doesn't take the Q, and plays NxB instead, white ALSO has a forced win after Rf7, and if BxQ, Rg7+, Kh8, Nf7#. Same if black tries h7xB instead: RxRf8+ wins followed by Qxg6. // Mato, some jokes are ok, but BxR+... "guess the move" seemed pretty pointless there. Beetter was to show two or three more lines. Said with ammiration for you and your work.

Thx mato. Always watch ur chess game.hope can do like 2 per day :p
Amazing game
That game is BRUTAL!
I don't understand why pawn was able to take pawn at 5:13. Can anyone explain this?
En passant
MrTehRave if a pawn threatining a square and opposite pawn jump from it, you can take it.check wiki for pawn rules
The move is called 'En passant'. Google it.
Yeah. That was quite intended.
***** Damn son
wow. Super game.
Mato, will you be making videos of Carlsen vs Karjakin games in the upcoming championship match? Also do you think Karjakin has a chance?
nice game. ..:)
Thanks mato...:)
fantastic game
what a player and what a game.
instead of pawn Bishop x Qg3 what if he simply takes takes the bishop with the knight on g6 at 7:11
that is what I wondered too, and I dont know why Mato is so careless about these important variations... CxG6, then Rook f7.... with threat of Rg7 and Nf7 check mate, seems unstoppable
That was exhausting!
i like to see the games of Carlos Torre Repeto
Do you now hte uruguayan inmortal Mato? it would fit perfectly in this series of offensive/agressive chess.

my bad, 7:05
doesn't work
If Queen takes bishop then black would play pawn takes bishop not queen takes queen

What if Bishop takes Rook on f6, after Pawn takes Bishop, Knight takes Pawn, protecting h7? Or am I missing something?
Go ahead mato. but I suggest to make longer video with deep analysis.
This is just ridiculous. I wish I could calculate like this.
Is mato your real name
Devon Tracey?
i found that beautiful move!
Rekt that king !
what Mato miss to say, after queen sacrifice, if Nxg6, then Rook f7 wins... with threat of Rook g7 check, and Night f7 mate
Well, there are other variations that I didn't show neither. I don't need to say all variations then people have nothing to talk about
:) this is a smart remark
It is good to laugh..........I forgot to tell you - Torre didn't like any opening that was available on the market at that time.................
I think Borris defended well.
