Palestinians across the globe are marking the 76th anniversary of the Nakba - which means "catastrophe" in Arabic - when those establishing the state of Israel violently expelled over 700,000 Palestinians. Palestinian historian Abdel Razzaq Takriti says closer to 900,000 Palestinians were forced out or massacred during Israel's founding, which is being celebrated inside Israel with calls to ethnically cleanse and settle the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. "The Nakba is continuing. This is a colonial continuum," says Takriti. "It's not enough to commemorate. It's not enough to talk about it. We have to stop it right now. … The first step to doing that is to stop the genocide in Gaza." Takriti lays out four principles for Nakba education: refuting Nakba denialism, recognizing the Nakba is part of an ongoing process of settler colonialism, stopping that process, and then reversing it by restoring Palestinian national rights.

Palestine was a house owned by the British in which Jews and Muslims lived. The British offered each to own their own flat in the house. The Jews accepted. The Muslims rejected the offer because they wanted the entire house. In 1947, the UN partitioned Palestine into two states based on population - one Jewish, one Arab.
If the Arabs had accepted the partition, there would have been no wars, no refugees and the Palestinians would be celebrating their 75th anniversary as an independent state encompassing the entire West Bank, Gaza and a third of pre-1967 Israel instead of the "nakba". Why is Abdel not asked to speak in the mainstream media? I think we all know why. Very seldom can you live in any civilization without being subjected to the rule of law that always and only serves the people that have the power to manipulate it. Germany: After WW2 they put their refugees from Poland and Czech in camps first. When G. was rebuilt they integrated them into the society, gave them work and they contributed & participated at Germanys wealth , and 20 years later you couldnt even recognize any regional misproportion of the former refugees. Today Germany, Poland and Czech are part of the same team.
Arab: Put their Pali-brothers and sisters in camps, let them stay in their camps for 75 years, didnt integrate anything, let them starve on purpose, and tell them every Nakba-day the should take back their land with force, walking over the bodies of dead J***.
Being German, I prefer the German way.
