What is interesting about this interviews is that not only we see Riddler being frustrated with the intelect of every person around but also we learn a little more about his past and the reason why he is so smug.
I get that he's obviously just a character but it points out something very important. With humbleness comes recognition, if you're excessively deluded and arrogant people will do everything to discredit you and look for holes in your achievements. Too humble and people will praise your slightest effort.
"Good try, but the answer to all three is a baby. True, it crawls on all fours, but cut off its legs and it can only wiggle on two limbs. Give it a crutch, it can hobble around on three. You see?" What type of riddle is that, Nygma?
It's simple really, when one has answered all the riddles the world can give. Eventually, you have to start making them, even if their cruel and sadistic.
Taking Riddler's logic a bit further, the riddle of the Sphinx could also be solved with the answers dog, mutilated spider or robotic chair. Now riddle me this: How come he can exclude valid answers (means any answer which meets the conditions of the riddle) from the solution set? Taking this logic further, riddles don't have one single solution but a multitude of them. Ergo, one could solve these riddles with any explainable answer. (I'd love to hear what smartass Riddler would reply to this...)
In a episode of Gotham, Lucius Fox gives The Riddler a valid answer to his riddle, but not the answer he was thinking. And then The Riddler says that he doesn't want an answer, he wants HIS answer
I suppose it goes into the connectors of the sentence "What?" "Then" "at the end" Which means that in all three scenarios it has to be the same "thee" Dr.Youngs answer however is the only valid one, since his solution implies a third factor that isn't mentioned. He cheats a lot in his riddles but tries to pass them as "technicalities"
@@danielclaw8251 i think the answer is in his last statement in the first tape "easy it's not my baby" to me that implies that this is something he did to someone's baby
Maybe I’m messed up but I thought the Baby riddle was creepy but still pretty impressed how he could make such a weird answer to the simple Sphinx riddle.
