During Elisabeth’s tenure, I remember feeling so bothered by almost every opinion she had (for context, I was in high school/college at the time). Now, even though I still vehemently disagree with almost everything she says, it don’t bother me nearly as much (c’mon growth lol) I was in the studio audience during Elisabeth’s time and she was the only cohost who spoke to the audience during the break and even came up to me and the person next to me to talk about something with her daughter Grace. I smiled politely and engaged with her. I went to The View a couple of weeks ago and none of the hosts engaged with the audience much, which made me realize how kind and gracious Elisabeth actually is (not to say the current hosts aren’t, but Elisabeth really went out of her way to connect with the audience.)
I was in the audience twice over the past year. None of the co-hosts engaged with audience either time. At times it felt like they thought we were a nuisance, and that it was up to Regina (the warm-up comedian) to keep us entertained during the breaks. I heard that Rosie O'Donnell was very interactive with the audience between breaks and would even perform a little stand-up comedy.
I loved Elisabeth on the show - she could argue over topics but then transition to something else with ease and have fun. We haven't gotten that with anyone since.

Funny how they loved him until he started telling the truth
Trump seems so different here compared to how he was during his presidency and how he is now.
