@@fungo6631Seems likely. Getting PAL equipment was probably cheaper, and most people didn’t have color tv sets until the early 90s, when cheap Asian tv sets capable of receiving both PAL and SECAM were suddenly available.
I remember last year reciving TRT Habler on channel 36 on my TV back when we had a storm in Mykonos. These signals were on the back on the antenna tho as ours looks at Syros and Athens rather than somewhere were Turkey is close.
Russia still have atv over the air but it’s hard to pickup these channels. Similarly in Germany also they still had atv but RTL,HR,WDR,BR,rbb, ZDF,ard And NDR didn’t shutdown their analog tv transmitters but they made to hard to pickup their tv channels because after the transition to digital They just changed the frequency and the channels on analog
This channel's logo has the same font style of Russia 1, Russia K and Russia 24. It's probably addressed to pro-russian population of Donbas', Ukrainian territory currently occupied by Russia.

Hello! With ES propagation, the signals on FM are so strong that they can be heard even by a small antenna and even a car radio, but of course YAGI antenna is useful because of the directionality. I'm pleased to see there is still some analog TV around.
Russia is a big country that's isolated so I may get why analog still exists in Russia to this day.

Surprisingily, this seems to be in PAL, not SECAM.
A lot of E European countries switched to Pal during the 1990's.
@@HughTVDX Ukraine hadn't, though, to my knowledge. Or perhaps Ukraine switched to PAL for commercial TV stations, while UT/Suspilne used SECAM.

In Vietnam, we have turned off Analog TV and converted to Digital since 2020
