People call it the Sunfire mold because it was a plain body, 2099 had some unique sculpting on the limbs. Though now they use the renew your vows limbs to make it "pinless" with the old feet. Just a series of small upgrades leading to the current body.
I never bothered with the Blob wave or Family Matters versions. SO GLAD I waited until this one to get this character. Excellent face print and the overall look is SO clean.

Btw The low shoulders are almost literally across every ML figure basically since Bucky Cap, and the trade-off isn't necessary at all. Most figures from other lines don't have the huge shelf traps, Hasbro just needs try recognize it as not acceptable and design around it, which they refuse to. It was the same with the original Retro buck, low small shoulders, RYV has slightly bigger low shoulders. It's why swapping Vulcan shoulders onto the Sunfire/Retro torso is so popular. But even Vulcan has the same low shoulders long the Vulcan torso. So gross and it throws off the look of basically every figure they make.
I just ordered 1 and im at a point i know if i want a figure regardless of what other people think about them, although i am persuaded by other opinions sometimes as i do look for input as i have been collecting for about 3 years and doing stopp motion animation probably just over a year
Use the flat hands from retro card Falcon to give green quicksilver running hands. I don't know why hasbro did not give him the hands since its right on the front of the cardback.
They have alternative parts for the 2099/Sunfire body ( I like to call it Sunfire because 2099 had unique forearms and feet) that I would like to see them use, like the Shang-Chi shoulders and Superior Octopus torso. 11:06 Retro Falcon.
@bapo22 there are some definite flaws in my thinking. But the only difference there would really be pinless elbows and knees and toe articulation. I try to call it the ultra articulated body to avoid the contradiction lol

It should be 2099 because that figure was first from old 2016 ML news articles; Sandman Wave was revealed at SDCC 2016 Brand Preview Breakfast and Warlock at the panel. 2099 was also shown before Sunfire at the panel. Sunfire prototype didn't even have the correct arms.

I am annoyed about the gloves and boots not being the same color as his trunks. That was how he actually looked from his Brotherhood days and throughout his Avengers run. Not sure why they did this short lived look with that early Avengers font on the package. Overall happy with the figure, but that was an oversight.
Hasblow made yet another mistake because they're sloppy; Quicksilver's boots and gloves in the comics were light green, NOT white. They became white when he got sky blue outfit. So you don't need to worry about swapping out hands. At least hasblow got the head right this time; he's always had those hair tufts and that's the way its supposed to be. I'll pass on this because they're gonna do the blue one very soon and that's the one he most normally wears.
I sourced the Falcon hands as soon as I saw the final production pics. Baffling that the flat hands were not included. For what we paid this guy should have at least come with an extra pair of flippin' hands. He's cool but, other than the head, pretty low effort. I don't feel satisfied.
I had no idea from the blurry picture that this was a quicksilver action figure dolly review. Terribly disappointed. I was hoping it was a green lantern action figure dolly from hascrap's marvel legends division 💚

Can confirm the West Avengers Falcon has running hands that fit and are the perfect colour!

A nice review sir. Another figure to source running hands from is the Zero figure from the Wolverine 5 pk, if you have it. That’s what I did.

Even with the different firearms and feet, the torso I’ve always felt is the main component of the “buck or body”

Mine came in a box and the card was bent in half. Box was fine. I will open it anyway.
The green version will join his sister in their Dad’s Brotherhood, the blue one will be with Wanda and the X-Factor.
