      You're going on about me? Lol. You haven't made a point yet, you just fussin but I shall proceed anyway. "In this style", means this hair style specifically. This woman's hair is coarse, voluminous, has length, and it's healthy. I have seen other beautiful black textured hair that was styled naturally i.e. afros and other black styles that I felt was just as beautiful but I notice other people, including black people, rarely say that about black textured hair in traditional black styles. Did you see how Essence magazine highlighted Blue Ivy's hair cause she had it pressed straight yet they didn't remark on its beauty when she had all those gloriously intricate braid styles or when her true hair texture was in its most natural state. My compliments are specifically towards afro textured hair styles. The youtube subscriptions I have on black hair says it all. This post was not supposed to be this darn long. Ms. Dunn have a Happy New Year and please leave me alone.

So I have now decided enough it's enough I'll give it ago and see what happens so thank you for your encouraging videos and tips for maintaining healthy natural hair fingers crossed I don't go back to weaves again.

      Hi Farida,
      First I have to say Naturally Nella's hair is beautiful. Hair goals. Ill be 50 in a couple of months. I've been relaxer free since 2013. I started adding collegen peptide to my coffee/ hotchocholate. Yes, coffeehotchocolate and MSM in orange juice almost 2 years ago. Both were recommended on TH-cam. Long story short, my weakness is the flat iron but my hair is the longest its ever been. I'm really wanting to embrace less stress, Be encouraged. You can do this.

    Oh and thank you for touching on the topic of COMPARING 🙏🏾 Hair journey, life, height, weight, your job, your education, your looks, the car that you drive, your home where you live, be it an apartment, house, townhome, relatives, dorms or staying with a friend, it's you, it's yours, and most of all it's YOUR JOURNEY. Thank God always for his grace. Your hair may not grow as fast as someone else's hair, but you thank God for hair that you have 🙏🏾 There's so much pressure from social media to meet up and it not compulsory that we do. I don't compare, but most people do. They needed to hear that last statement that you made so that they don't feel bad about where they are in their hair journey 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 thank you 🤗

    If you’re genetics aren’t set up for this type of full, thick, and long hair PLEASE don’t go beating yourself up doing the most trying to achieve this. I have this type of thick/full hair and there’s nothing special that I have to do for it to be full and thick. It just happens. Also, if your hair grows slow due to genetics, there’s only so much you can do tbh. Point is, don’t stress yourself trying to achieve something that may or may not be for you.

      JoAnnie A Hair grows on average half an inch a month that’s 6 inches a year, no matter if your hair grow faster or slower than average. You should see some type of length by the end of the year, if you don’t experience breakage. So it’s possible to get hair her length maybe not her thickness since that’s genetic.

Athough it is very fine, since I have been drinking a lot of water, keeping my hair moisturize, taking my time to detangle my hair is the longest it has ever been and it has nothing to do with products, but taking care of what you have.

    Hair is always growing. Make sure to eat fruits and veggies, nuts etc.. Healthy organic foods and less processed foods. Also, make sure your vitamin levels are normal. If you dye your hair a different color from your hair, you will notice all the growth at the roots! Hair grows, do not think its based on genes. Curlier kinky hair just needs more moisture!!

    • @ladysafari01
      @ladysafari01 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree...it's all about maintaining the length coz the ends fall off if dry hence most people assume that their hair don't grow...always wonder why folks say their hair doesn't grow.

    • @Giggles50
      @Giggles50 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@kawaiipoop3160 I think you need to do your research. Have you ever seen locs? If kinky hair is braided or put in locs, it will just grow because its not exposed to the elements. It's protected. Genes may determine texture, but I don't agree on the growth. Like I said your hair is always growing. There are other factors besides genes like stress, how you take care of your hair etc besides genes. I think your hair care regimen/health outweighs your genes. There are people who have lots of hair, but if they have a health issue...the hair can fall out/not grow. Do you see what I'm saying?

    Found out I had chronic anemia last year. I've been on and off hemoglobin pills (tbh I don't take my supplements as often and consistently as I should ☹️). I need to be more consistent because it could affect mr negatively in future

    On point video and I have to say I’ve been anemic for over 5 years and start and stop taking my iron but the last 3 months I’m taking my iron regularly and omg my hair has definitely grown!!! More than before!!!! And I’m a black woman. So yes taking care of ourselves from the inside out is very important!!!! Thanks for a sharing your experience and creating this discussion.

    Wow!! Thank you 😁♥️. Your tips are on point 🤗🌹. I had long hair as a child, and as a young adult I had some extremely traumatic and life changing experiences. Unfortunately, I had no one to help me. I had so much hair and I wanted to stop using heat straightening, I wanted a wash and go style. My hair stylist started using a chemical straightener, even though I didn't know how to manage or maintain the process. After eight years and prayer I decided to stop going to the hair stylist. I wanted to manage my hair on my own. Probably after six months, I exposed my hair to chlorinated water, not realizing that it would be too much chemicals. My hair started to break. I also started to dye my hair, I didn't know a stylist that I could afford. I lost most of my hair and with prayer my hair journey is where it is today. Six years is a long time but after 11+ years, your tips encourage me. Thank you again for sharing your tips and successful hair journey.🤸

      Stephanie Noel, each person hair grows differently, mine is slow growing as well, I'm 4c which is the most kinky of them all and grows the slowest but since I have been drinking a lot of water for the first time in my life, I have noticed my hair has taken off like it has never before, keep it well moisturize (I mist my hair daily with Aleo Vera juice and water) and drink more water, eat fresh fruits and vegetables because they also have a lot of water in them.

    YES to LENGTH RETENTION!
    💇🏽‍♀️Trim those ENDS at least 3-4 months!
    🗣️Eat foods high in iron 🥬and maybe even multivitamins!
    Hydrate and then seal ends with cream, oil and or butter BEFORE it gets dry.
