I think this is some of the best light effects I have seen for a game/model. The rays, plus the glare are really well done and fit the size of the source.

I think the reason I keep coming back to this video is that theres no unnecessary delicacy in the movements. Feels more like a regular eye exam which is what I prefer!

when you put your fingers up to our "eyes" to open up the eyelids at 8:03 and a few times thereafter, it not only added a nice touch of realism but was also a very relaxing trigger :)

The light visual triggers gave me tingles after not getting tingles for so long. It felt really nice 😭 TYSM!
I am impressed, I didn't expect any 3D vtuber tracking to be able to catch all the subtleties just yet, but in hindsight I don't know why I assumed it wouldn't. I also am far more surprised that using a simple couple of cones with opacity mapping would simulate the eye light so effectively. I actually can't fully tell if there's a light in there or if the object manages to get opaque near the camera when shining directly on it. Nice job catching the sounds as well. Was not expecting vtuber ASMR to be this effective, even if I do have a weakness for cranial nerve exams. Barring a few glitches in tracking and some overall jitter, it's definitely up there with IRL cranial nerve exams. Nice solution with dubbing over the writing in the book as well, and I have to say, the tracking picking up and accentuating those subtle acknowledgement nods hit beautifully.
This is all done in VRchat. A virtual reality social chat game. The tracking is done using various equipment that costs quite a bit of money. You can either go the regular route of using a VR headset with regular hand controllers, or add on body trackers to track your entire body more accurately. Usually, tracking would be placed on your feet, and one on your waist. But if you want more accurate full body tracking then you can get trackers for your elbows, your chest, your shoulders, your knees and so much more.
There are also haptic suits that can simulate touch on your body. And there are also headsets that can do facial tracking.
Some hand controllers can do finger tracking as well.
From watching this vid, we can see that this person has facial tracking and hand tracking. Expensive gaming toys indeed.
The flashlight effects is something that vrchat already has coded into the game.
This is surprisingly hypnotic and calming, specially the light moving in and out of the vision. I wonder why.

the models have improved greatly overtime
Within the span of a year ai videos went from botched and easy to distinguish from reality to lifelike creations that are difficult to distinguish from reality, so naturally virtual reality would also improve

I didn’t expect to enjoy a VR visual ASMR but this was great. No talking. No mouth sounds. Just good light visuals and some nice gentle sounds. The flash light part at the beginning was more genuine feeling then even non VR ones for some reason.
The fact that my half functioning brain cell was able to understand what you wanted us the viewer to do without using any words freaking amazes me 😂

If there’s anything I could say that hasn’t already been said, Is that I never expected to find a ASMR video based inside of this game.
All of this is foreign to me
but I felt relaxed. I was skeptical yet found it interesting to watch something like this. And for the ~10 minutes of this video it blew me away; I’m impressed. So much that I feel embarrassed to have been skeptical at all.
Avatars in vr chat always come off as uncanny to me with how they’re animated. Yet under this abnormal circumstance I find myself in, it’s the opposite. Objectivity, the way you animate yourself in the game appeals more realistically. Despite the few clippings or twitches it didn’t interfere much with the immersion. I’d say exceptions can be made there.
This is an excellent video by all means. Never would I find myself here in such a situation but here I am. I would implore you to continue to work on these videos with a longer timeframe. I know it’s not easy so take your time to innovate in immersion.
Personally keep the avatar like that and have no talking but it’s up to you how you handle your channels videos.
