I second that! They could have moved her to another prison and shown how she has to build all over again in a new prison and then brought her back. Lots of scope for change without killing her off. She was my favourite character!
She's very missed from the show. She's a great character actress. From what I've seen of her humanitarian work, she's a great person as well! Wentworth fans miss you! It's not the same. Wish you the best in all your endeavors!
Rewatching all of Wentworth right now & I think I cried more the second time when Bea died than the first. They could’ve written “new blood into the show” while still really playing out Bea & Allie. I think we all felt jipped - still pissed about that decision on behalf of the writers!
Pete McTighe murdered an iconic character. The lowlight in his career as a writer. He must have been on bad drugs at this time... And why is he allowed to continue writing?
The First 4 Seasons Were amazing because it Was about Bea, we were experiencing it this place through her eyes and it was a streamlined story, After that it seemed like the writers were just making it up as they went along ... still decent but just not the same almost feels like a Spin off series
Still the wrong decision to cut her loose. A lot of potential story lines could have been done on/ to her character. Bea could have done more for the ladies and for Allie. Even though she gave up being too dog. Her story arc could have been more deep and more important , if she was given another season, or two. I don't like ruby and her sister and I don't like marie , all Failed in comparison to Bea and Franky.
I watched this but I’m now waiting for season nine but when Ferguson killed bea I was absolutely devastated and didn’t want to watch it but I did and it was amazing
Watching it again for the 3rd time and even tho I did like Allie & Bea together I just feel like for the show Allie could’ve died from the hot shot. And then season 5 Bea and Katz joing forces to take down Ferguson to which Bea dies obviously😭 I just wish they gave Bea atleast oneeeee more season!
She could make escape like franky did, it was the bogus ending for Bea Smith, never convincing. I believe she will return, how they can kill the hero. She always admitted none of these inmates are my friends but then she got life after Allie and then she sacrificed herself for nothing, S4 last episode Bea to Vera, "Allie is not gonna wakeup, so make it murder". Seems like she knew Allie somehow managed to wakeup from comma after years as Allie was not dead, she made a deal with Vera to combat Joan, how she got herself killed while she did not attended real funeral of Allie, so it was very very bogus ending for Bea Smith, we want her back as Allie is alive and making every chance to be alive to be with the powerful one always so she is in protection always, she should have commited suicide after taking revenge on Joan, why she is still alive, why??

I’m new to the season and when bea smith died I couldn’t go on with the series no more I couldn’t stomach the show anymore
