- Hi, I'm April, I am a reborn artist, Mother of 5 and a Gigi (Grandma) former nursing assistant, medical assistant, and phlebotomist now disabled and wheelchair dependent due to genetic and autoimmune diseases, and spinal surgery. People with my genetic disease, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome are called Zebras which is why I named my nursery as I did. I love to make all types of reborn babies but open eye babies are my favorite. I mainly use air dry/acrylic paints and mediums(Golden fluid, RebornFX, and Ultimate Fusion) and I root most of my dolls but do some painted hair babies as well. I do tutorial videos and everything that includes reborn dolls and Ill also, infrequently, make a few videos about the rest of my life.

Hi April! SO exciting!!!! I love that I don't see Vito very often. I've been a little M.I.A these last months. I was truly hoping that everything would be settling down leading up into November, but no such luck.

It's funny that you drink from a mason jar with a handle. I just donated a mason jar that was attached to a large candlestick stem, like a wine glass, lol. It was so heavy and bulky though.
Do you have to wait 24hr. to allow for drying?
LOL, that green would have me terrified with heat set paint.
Dust is everywhere. Hair is worse. I walk in the house with horse, dog, cat, goat. bird feathers...you name it. It's a never ending battle when it come to painting.

The doll show is next September in the Netherlands...Annette from Ann-May's lovely place is going with me to help. I figured I needed a lot of time to get enough dolls ready for it.
Yes...I hate dust and pet hair is even worse! I just bought more sticky rollers for that.😉
Yes....the cookies were a big hit...3 batches and they are all gone already 😆. I still have a few of mine.
If its not too humid the paint dries within the time that I am ready to start with the head again...if its really humid I give it a bit more time. Golden is really good as far as drying and curing time.
I love the way he looks right now with the green...Ill be starting another video today.
No worries...I get into my things and forget to let people know Im still alive...all the time. I just dont know how to balance social media with life. I hope things slow down for you soon but its nice to be busy too...just not all the time 😆.

Hello April 👋🏼 I like the green wash I have never seen one like that before lol. I tried to find the sponges in the stores that sells horse supplies here and they don't sell them so I have to order mine online 😒 and last time I tried to get them they were sold out 😂. I gave up and just use the cosmetics plucked lol. I still haven't got the air-dry down, the heat set is much easier for me but I am going to keep trying with air dry because I know I can get it!
My problem is I love my babies so much that I don't want to part with them 😂 I told hubby I have to buy 2 kits so I can sell one and keep one 😅.

I was wondering if they still had the Equine sponges...I cant find them here anymore at all. The plucked sponges work just as well...Im just lazy 😆. I do like the pattern in the sponges though...Im not good at making my own. Airdry is harder than heat set in the fact that you have to be quick but hey...keeps you on your toes😉
Thats a good idea...I know people who do that, make one to sell and one to keep.

Oh good...Im glad you enjoyed some cookies as well. Making a few batches of cookies after painting was a bit much for me but the kids and hubby were very happy and mine turned out ok too.
That would be so cool if your granddaughters started painting reborns!!
