    You absolutely nailed it here buddy, this footage is incredible! Had to rewatch again to relive the experience once more. If one wants to get the look and feel of what going deep into a real wild cave is like, this is it. I couldn't be more proud, honored, and grateful to have shared this experience, this expedition, with you and Cole. Experiences like these really create a bond, and I feel that we emerged from Tytoona cave with some unforgettable memories and an even greater friendship... Your camera settings and setup were excellent as well, you were able to capture so much detail from an area that is otherwise completely dark - excellent production all the way around.

      Walter, there is nothing like the bond of descending 1,000' into the earth, through a river no less, and emerging intact. Eating steak and drinking beers around a fire that night was amazing, but the bond was forged underground.
      Any technical or production compliments I receive from you are extra special, considering the films you make. I know yours is going to be amazing, so I'm glad mine hit first 🤣😂
      Thanks for coming along, buddy!

    😮😮😮😮😮 that was a bit of an adventure to say the least....cave wildlife! It looked a bit unnerving coming back against the current at the logjam...the rock formations were incredible....looked like quartz veins in the overhead coming through the logjam...
    Amazing

    Well done to all three of you for doing that. The cave formations were neat to see, and I can't believe you all went through the logs and further into the cave. Just watching the footage of how tight it was freaked me out a little bit!

      @HikerDudeDad  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sarah, I'll tell you... Mentally, I was good to go until we were past the jam. Then, there were quiet times where I realized it wasn't an easy out anymore. When the guys were looking at the sump up close, I was hanging back, kind of wishing we were closer to the exit. "Hiking in is optional, hiking out is mandatory." That phrase always helps me refocus!!!

    Yes, incredible. I don't think I would have wanted to go beyond the log jam, but then I just would have had to do it. You guys are impressive. Wow. Adventure of a life time.

      @@quietjohnoutandabout6578 everything up to the logjam is very manageable. It's one flight of steps from the road to the cave, and it's all flat. Then the experience really takes a turn at the jam!!! Thanks for watching, John.

    This was one of my favorite expeditions of the summer and with two of TH-cam’s outdoor best. You need to be able to trust those you adventure with and have confidence in their skills and ability to have your back should things go sideways. Walt and Ryan are two of those men for me and I wouldn’t have been able to reach and see the last 500 feet of cave which I’ve dreamt about for almost two years after two prior trips to the cave without them. This video captures not only the beauty of one of PA’s pristine wild caves but the tension and high adventure of pushing into the dark, testing your limits an endurance, and managing risk and reward that paid off with some rarely seen beautiful formations like the Umbrella. Couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of the journey with these two legends.

    Holy crap! That is an insane adventure. My heart was pounding through the whole thing, especially through the log jam and beyond. I could not do this. All I could think of was the soccer team of boys that got caught in a cave during a flash flood some years back. I think it was Thailand. I might be able to get a little way in, but fear would certainly overcome me at some point. Well done everyone. PS - aliens have definitely been there! 👽
