@@jasonredepenning One of the many problems with that yacht is the engines were not easily removable. You'd have to cut the superstructure to get them out. Also the hull was basically one big fuel storage tank. Practical for a speed boat but not for a leisure yacht.
The Gentry eagle is sitting in Ventura harbor it's a shame to see the boat just sitting there somebody really needs to buy it and put it back to where it was when it made and broke the transatlantic record
If i would have had the money I would have restored it and enjoyed it and take people out on the water so they could enjoy it to what a waste of a fabulous boat and money
They could have put that boat in a museum for people to see. or restored it and used it to take people out to fish in the ocean, money could have been still coming in every year, their are so many things that could have been done with it, out of all the millionaires in the world no one wanted to save this boat, what a shame
When I found this yacht on a walk at the marina, I was so so impressed. I looked it up and read all about it. Its really, really sad it's sitting there rotting away
My Dad, Fred Miller built these engines!!
Want a medal?
Very cool, I'm impressed
That's pretty cool
Wow!
I think that that is very cool the asshole who said want a medal I would be proud also you can tell him to suck it
Demolition of Gentry Eagle started on May 9th, 2022 and was completed on May 11th. It was shredded at the Ventura Harbor Boatyard.
Would have been a sweet purchase for some of us pee ons..
@@jasonredepenning Was in a very rough shape. Both 16 cyl MTU Diesel engines needed rebuilding, interior trashed by pigeons.

In 2022 it has been sold and hauled. Will it be refurbished? No one knows at this time.

@@katmarkwell1108 is there a price on this wreckage that you speak of..lol...jk.. but really is someone selling it???.....from Wyoming USA 🔫🤠
Yeah, I recently saw it there and was curious about it. That's how I ended up here. Sad to see her covered in bird shit and turn to sea rot.
Yea I’m in the boatel right now and if a crew of people cleaned it and put in new engines and pistons it would be pretty good
Some people rather sit and watch it rust and rot away in their yard,
as to give it away 🖕
All that money and still not one cent of self-awareness
that's true, wait till it's a rust bucket then want to sell it
