    What would you do after this step to have it 3D printable? At the moment I feel like it is only a single plane thick. Apologies, I’m new to this but I have been following your tutorials and learning a lot.

      You can mask the flat mesh completely and then extract it (in the mask settings). Then it has a thickness.
