@@Theknitguru Sadly they are not the original. Had the same situation. They just steal the QR Code and Password. The original is just available in the US and Canada. The inside is branded as well e.g the paper around the yarn, the bag where the small parts is in etc. And the bag is different as well. the logo is missing the "the" of the "the woobles" and probably have the same spelling error on the side where some words are together cuz the space is missing. So the kit is fake but it gives you the original online ressource.
Ooooooooo…. Well. I will have to give the proper kit a go then (and cast immediate shade towards the store selling this as a Woobles kit). I feel a pricey online purchase from the Woobles website coming on.
@@Theknitguru Looking forward to a comparrison. Would be interesting what i missed. E.G if the hook is better made or how different the original yarn is.
I noticed these Woobles in my local Walmart the other day. I'll definitely be checking what their pricing is here in the states. I'm fine going my own route on the stuffies... Well, I still gotta try that turtle you did. :)
Totally do the turtle. He’s still harder than the woobles, but the lack of arms and legs on the woobles make them less interesting to me. I feel like if you can get a woobles kit cheaply, they are decent, but I suspect they will always be more expensive than following a good tutorial. I recommend @complicatedknots and @skeinspider as brilliant people offering clear, free tutorials on TH-cam.
Fred is Beginner+... this is one of the reason I don't like them. The Packaging is all "For Beginners" but when you go on website they are suddenly Beginner+ To me Wobbles are all marketing at this point, there are many other better options that don't have the same marketing that do the same thing if not better.
You are so right! The marketing is fantastic. I’ve now made 3 of the patterns - and even when listed as “beginner” there’s not much consistency in what they say a beginner is. Sebastian the Lion - he was a disaster and a half 😂. I find the “yarn” is hard to use but at least it shows the stitches and makes it impossible to split the yarn with the hook. There will be a review of just a cheap discount store kit on my channel next week.
I think these are the temu versions! 😂. Because I saw someone try a temu one and it looks very very similar.
Well, I hope not! They were spendy enough 😂 but then again, here in NZ, who knows.

@@Theknitguru Another one that I totally swear by is @rhondadawnbutler. No sew or low sew... easy to follow and I've made a lot of her tutorials.
Oooooo - I’ll have to pop over and take a look. Thank you for the recommendation.
