Someone may have mentioned in the chat yesterday, but panniers (particularly detachable ones) can be very handy. Also, the last time I was in Amish country, I noticed they have rear baskets that fold flat when not in use (sized to hold a paper grocery sack.)

Believe it or not we got it all back, but it was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever done, but it sure is fun to remember it and laugh at myself. Your bike looks super fun!
Awesome videos! Can we see your and Barron’s workout routines sometime? My husband and I travel on the road a lot and I’m always trying to learn new ways to stay fit on the go.
Be sure to put some Flat-out in your bike tires.- love my E-bike and off-road is awesome but can cause tire flats. This stuff is awesome and works great! Be safe out there
It was fun watching you get ready for this new thing -- riding the bike into town, even with all the missteps and your slight trepidation. You're so clear and honest. But you did it anyway, and had a blast. Then you showed us how you dealt with the not-quite-thought-out-fully shopping, and you did all that, too. What fun to watch your process of working things out. What a badass you are. For the shots of you riding, do you storyboard them? Or just notice and make cool shots as you go, and then edit them all together later? Are you using a handlebar bracket to hold your camera? How much time did the videography tasks add to your trip? I'm impressed that you did the videography thinking AND the shopping thinking AND the riding into town and back thinking, all at the same time. Badass. So badass.
MARY'S CRACKERS!? I've only had those once, and really want them again (& again), but have yet to find them. Frankly, I was a little disappointed with your arrival back into camp - I expected a 30-40 mph sprint & slide into home with those groceries. But, from an OLD tomato lover to a now "mature" tomato eater, I'm gonna' let it slide. 😉 I just want to include, right here, before I forget, you, Elsa Rhae make the best dang videos of ANY nomad on YT, bar none! They are not to be dismissed or missed, or dissed! That hunting thing (of which I have NO experience), is tough. I wish Barron & you the best, there. FYI, I'm also rooting for the Elk.🙂
Thrive Market carries them, idk if you'd be interested in a membership with an online grocery store though. Sometimes you can go to a mom and pop grocery and request them to order specific products for you to purchase!
I feel you Elsa. I used to commute by mountain bike full time. So groceries were a pain. I miss riding. My longest solo ride was Green Bay Wi to Milwaukee Wi, 126 miles in a day. (I had trained all Summer for the ride)
