I haven't seen that much snow in my life, but I do remember seeing soft falling slow snowflakes sometimes floating not always straight down, but circling around upwards too. Isn't it amazing how this dancing is captured by Debussy? Michael Jackson introduced me to love of Debussy's music. Have blessed holidays everyone. 🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️🌨️🌨️🌨️🙏🏿
All the people here who never saw snow. It's really pretty when you're looking at the sky.. especially at night when the moon is out. It's like something out of a romance movie but it's real life and you're surrounded by the silence of nature and the cold of winter. It doesn't get any better than that, especially if you have a warm comfy winter outfit that feels like a bed when you lay down in the snow
this has been one of my favorite pieces that I've always admired everything about it because it just makes me imagine the beauty of winter and well winter has always been my favorite season.
@@laurencejenoc9612 I think she means because it has lots of accidental notes and modulates... Through different keys with different patterns. Not just because of the key signature.. 🗝️🔑
One of the most amazing things I ever saw occurred during a rare snowfall in north Georgia, USA. Snow had been forecast but it was slow to arrive; however when it did the snowflakes were enormous - I should say the clumps of snowflakes were enormous, for many had bunched together into balls nearly as large as golf balls. But what was truly remarkable is that they arrived at a time when there was no wind whatsoever. So as I looked up, I could see them descending from dozens of feet above my head - I watched some individual ones fall for twenty seconds before they reached the ground. One of those unexpected magical moments nature provides if you watch long enough.
I love this piece! If there's such a thing as perfection, this is it for me. I don't know if anyone has ever commented on it, but to me the repeated, bell-like Ds in the A and A prime sections remind me very much of gamelan. I wonder if he had that in mind when he wrote this.

Why does everyone play this piece at twice the speed it should be played at? Because it's dictated to them by convention rather than natural impulse. It is simply far more beautiful played much slower than this and that should be reason enough to do so

one of the best interpretations of this piece.. very delicate and delicious
My feelings exactly. Debussy is about nuance .

I appreciate this tempo and the legato, very dreamy- Debussy at his best! thanks for sharing!
I love Debussy's The Snow is Dancing! It is absolutely remarkable that he could compose a piece of music with pretty much no key at all:)
it's clearly in D minor though
Rosie Rohwer.. No key? What do you mean? He clearly had 88...
.
I’ll leave now..

Hands down, the best interpretation of this, thanks for the stunning performance Mr Trpceski and of course thanks Debussy for this divine piece
I love this interpretation too, it's more beautiful played at this tempo for some reason.❤
As we enter the winter season, I find myself here once again. Debussy calls to me!:)
Finely chiseled piece of composition, the awareness that music could open new horizons that it had been thought before.
Simon Trpceski! What a talent! Love your playing😘😘
Came here after watching twoset!

Excellent rendition! Well played, Trpceski!
very beautiful...love this.
I love this piece so much.
Beautiful. Best recording I've heard of this yet. I loved playing the Children's Corner Suite as a child- must find a piano to practice on again soon.

Wonderful version))
Oh, thank god he doesn't bang it on the piano like the guy I heard before that....

Beautifully played!!
So much Bach influence. Like a prelude. That's a good thing. Beautiful logical flow with a little drama. So well played too
I love This, just amazing!
What command of rhythm and dynamics! Just right.
Liked it, bought the album.
The sound of bells in several registered imitated by piano is a sign of Debussy having borrowed sonorities from Indonesian gamelan
Oh...so perfect!
beautifull
*Beautiful
Happy Holidays!
Learning this piece!
I miss snow. I miss real winter.
Hermoso!

is this piece supposed to be played with pedal from the start or is it just this interpretation?
Okay thanks. I played it wrong the whole time.

Well that's a matter of opinion. Obviously Debussy felt otherwise because that's the tempo he notated in the score.
