He surely had a unique way of bringing emotions and images to life with his music. We've updated this playlist a while ago if you'd like to keep listening to his works, Cristhian 🤗👉 th-cam.com/video/MZY_P6O28c0/w-d-xo.html
Indeed!! I´ve known and loved his music for decades, since I was a child (72 now). Some 10 years ago I discoverd another giant...Scriabin. I immediately recognized a true genius and came in love with his early works. It took me a little more to fully engage with his late works, much more modern and somewhat obscure music, but pure magic. Hope you try and like it. Preludes, Waltzes and Mazurkas are a good strating point, then Sonatas, Symphonies and the rest.
Same in here, listening to Debussy helped me with anxiety during my teenage years, and even on adult life it still keeps me focused and happy on hard times
Debussy's works are so beautiful and dreamy they seem better than life itself . not to worry, i am not suicidal . It's just that when I listen to Debussy pieces like Clair De Lune , it is so compassionate and romantic & is so beautiful there are times when i can't bear to listen to it .
“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams
Debussy understood that and paces much of his style on both capturing the moment and slowing it down just enough to savour each delicious drop of audio wine. Wonderful. Best listened to chilled 😎
Classical music really speaks for itself. It spills out emotions; wordless yet powerful emotions. The fact that classical music has no lyrics means a lot to me. It offers a myriad of emotions, beyond the limits of emotions our words can express.
That's part of the beauty of it, isn't it? Everyone can interpret it in different ways depending on their mood and where they are in life, it speaks a million different languages and generates a kaleidoscope of emotions 💖✨
Your mind is able to imagine scenes with this music as its background. It can be whatever your imagination conjures. That is the true beauty of this music. It's transformational, transcendent, and beautiful.
As we listen to Debussy, my 9 and 6 yr old grandchildren are playing in a card board box trian that we made together. They have my woodland animals piled in the last box, they have pillows, papers and some books too. It just snowed, finally and they're imagination is on the run as they play "Pokeman." Modern technology is not allowed at Grandma's, only fun and imagination. They love Debussy!
world through my eyes Your comment speaks pure truth. Apart from those who are physically challenged in some way (blindness, deafness and so forth) we need nothing else than the most basic requirements to experience total joy and happiness. :)
That's wonderful, world through my eyes. We're sure your grandchildren will cherish these memories forever! Thank you for playing our compilation for them.
The best time for me to listen to Debussy is during quiet times, such as early in the morning or late at night. It helps me stay calm and peaceful, and all my stressful moments disappear. :)
I am often reduced to tears when I listen to Debussy's compositions. I find the juxtaposition between Emotion and Nature to be overwhelming at times... breathtaking. Grateful.
This transports my mind to a scene of people walking along a street or next to a small lake or stream as others are sitting on park benches or on blankets having picnics with family or just a couple enjoying each other's company. Birds calling, swans or geese swimming in the water, children running and playing. A wholesome scene displayed that brings a smile to your face.
Debussy is the only thing I really listen to now, it helps me with dark thoughts and my mental illnesses. Thankyou so much for uploading, and taking the time to put together this stunning collection of pieces. And thanks to the many pianists who played these beautiful songs and interpreted them very well.
The start of winter here in South Africa, watching the rain clouds drawing closer, the trees autumn leaves fluttering in the chilly air listening to this timeless notes cascading and rising. Belissimo!

Hey me too! I stayed in the Marais, back in the day. But spent many days up on the hill of Montmartre with the artists. Fond memories. What a beautiful city!
There something so special about Clare de Lune it soothes my spirits, it’s a welcomed piece of music when ever I hear it, but especially when I’m in need of calming mood.

Piano, the master of musical instruments, and a solo with Claude Debussy is like reaching heaven . God bless you all 🙏🏻🌸☀️
OH. MY. GOD. One of these solos happens to be in a Japanese drama I love. It always played whenever the main character sat down to write. Those scenes were touching in large part due to the music. Lo and behold it was Reverie, L.68. So happy I know now. Thank you!
I feel like this playlist has so many underrated gems. Once we got the mainstream and famous Debussy pieces out of the way, it really reveals the depth and character of Debussy's range in invoking so many different emotions.
I've clicked through so many videos, through so many incredible, weird ambient landscapes.. I feel like I'm going on a train trip, seeing a succession of crazy, never-before-seen scenes from history, important, weird musics through the window as I pass.. there's so much to explore. So many places to alight and dwell in the ambiences that are on offer. This stop, in particular is brilliant !
@Thea S Very presumptuous. I see superiority and condescension are in vogue. How do you know how I addressed my late father whilst still living and what was acceptable to him? Some sons/daughters do address their parents by their Christian names when they get older. And I resent your derogatory use of the word "kid". Highly disrespectful. Your attitude and arrogance give classical music a bad name.
One of my best accomplishments was memorizing Clair de Lune while living in an idyllic country setting. Nowadays I live in a crowded, exhaust filled urban environment but I can still revisit the very fortunate circumstance when I lived with Fluffy and Whiskey in the 1990's.
Many thanks, especially, for a particularly fine performance of Reflets dans l'eau. I thought I knew this piece well, but you revealed many things in it I had somehow overlooked.
long live Debussy! Some of those melodies and chords have so much emotion! Reflections in the water is my favorite; puts me in a state of serene grace.
His music is much more than pretty. It often goes in directions you don't expect, but then he makes it work and you understand why he went there only after. Which is something that all great art does, explores and opens the mind to new possibilities.
As a musician - classical guitarist and pianist I love Debussy so much and am able to have a deeper understanding of the music itself. The melodies, the harmony etc, how it all works to create such beautiful masterpieces.......... Thank you for the playlist The musician is now going to finish her math homework while listening to Debussy 🥺💗
That's wonderful Radi, you can appreciate Debussy even more 😍 Thank you for stopping by and listening, we hope your math homework was ok! We'd love to hear your thoughts on our "Debussy and Ravel - Impressionist Classical Music" playlist 👉 th-cam.com/video/yWQLXuwna14/w-d-xo.html
I'm currently listening to this while watching a slideshow of the works of the Impressionists on my 100 inch screen in 0.25 speed. Like getting to study the Belle Epoque while taking a museum tour and listening to it's most sublime musician, all at once. It's the greatest time for an autodidact to be alive.
¡Gracias!
SIMPLESMENTE MARAVILHOSO!!! DEBUSSY FOI UM GÊNIO!!! NÃO ME CANSO DE OUVIR... SUAS MÚSICAS SÃO VERDADEIRAS PINTURAS SONORAS... GRATIDÃO PELA SELEÇÃO MARAVILHOSA! GRATIDÃO, DEBUSSY. ONDE ESTIVER RECEBA O MEU CARINHO E AFETO!!! E QUE O CRIADOR O ILUMINE E GUARDE, HOJE E PARA TODO O SEMPRE!!!
This is at the moment my go to classical piece to combat the twin stresses of COVID and daily job pressure(and continuous threat of the sack), does definitely decrease the blood pressure. Wonderfully expressive and at the same time relaxing. Many thanks for posting this.
Well, the first song of this video almost made me wanna cry. One of the reasons is that it is the song that I usually hear from my dad's car back in the time I was just in kingdergarden and it took me almost 17 years to find out the name of this song. Second reason is that it made me think back the time when I still have a complete family, whereas, now my parents got divorce which was followed by the time my father betryal my mom three years ago.
Thank you for introducing me to Debussy. I`ve never heard music this beautiful. It calms me down. It transports me. You don`t know how much good you do by making this art available to us, sensitive souls around the world :) Greetings from Perú.
Vamos a salir adelante.
Beautiful! I love how the cover picture has an Impressionist feel to it. I've always enjoyed Debussy's music; he has a real gift for creating tension and then smoothly resolving it (or leaving a bit of tension hanging in the air). Thank you for this wonderful collection ☺️
Listening to this on a Sunday morning under my patio with a cup of coffee, viewing the bush, trees and palms with branches swaying to the gentle breeze from the ocean ... ahhh it’s magical. Thank you for sharing this beautiful music❤️
Oh Debussy, I love Debussy! Sometimes all I can think about is Debussy. Oh just look at the Pianist, the Pianist is so good with Debussy. I really like is early work, when Debussy is young than you want to see Debussy! When listening to this kind of music, always remember to, for example, finish on the Bach. Never finish on Debussy.
I can picture myself walking dowwn the street and stopping by a lovely girl selling flowers. Then I met Debussy in a café. He shows me his new piece and asks what to give it. I suggest Nuit d'Étoiles, but he comes up with Claire de Lune. Eventually I wake up and feel happy to have been there.

When my kid brother João was about 4 yo, he used to sit at a piano (and thought that nobody was listening) and play loosely... one day, our father recorded him... and it was unbelievable! Of course, he had no technique or educated idea about what he was playing. The AURA, though, was Debussy... Now he is 50 some yo.... and I miss that recording so much....

My wife introduced me to Debussy. I’ll be forever grateful , Rest In Peace sweetheart.
That's Beautiful
she is probably forever grateful to you , for the time you spent together in this life
God bless your wife, I am sure she is listening the music of DEBUSSY in heaven.
Hearts. She is with you then.

Great
Can't believe these came from a single instrument, pianos are so lovely
But Debussy is not. You go into a infinite mess, you don't know where you are and where you are going. That's impressionism.

If we don’t have memory. It is always the present moment 😉.
Ahh, c'est la vie !
technically, our present is always the past, as our brain takes time to process what is happening right now.
Debussy understood that and paces much of his style on both capturing the moment and slowing it down just enough to savour each delicious drop of audio wine.
Wonderful.
Best listened to chilled 😎

I totally agree
In a time like this, the world needs just ''This''. Nothing Else. Just This! All Morning, All Night All Week! Nothing Else....

Be strong! i lost my mother this month and this song is like a hug for me. Feel embraced!

I've always loved Debusy his works are so bright and joyful! He must of been a happy man. ❤️
One of my best accomplishments was memorizing Clair de Lune while living in an idyllic country setting. Nowadays I live in a crowded, exhaust filled urban environment but I can still revisit the very fortunate circumstance when I lived with Fluffy and Whiskey in the 1990's.
Fluffy and Whiskey . I suspect they are animal friends . The best kind.
when hearing Debussy, I feel like I get more clarity, no more questions of god, life, pursuits or anything else, just bliss. wonderful mix :)
Music like this IS the answer. In it lives life, love, and god himself.
Thanks you Halidon for inserting my recordings in this beautiful selection.
Thank you for your beautiful playing.
Really marvelous!!!
You are an incredible pianist !
Many thanks, especially, for a particularly fine performance of Reflets dans l'eau. I thought I knew this piece well, but you revealed many things in it I had somehow overlooked.
Thank you for your music!
Listening to Debussy is wonderful! For me the best invention is music, because it calms and energizes you.
Music is not an invention, its a creation from the creator himself. As a musician learns ,he or she just discovers what has always been there.
long live Debussy!

It’s amazing how some of his pieces radiate with the gamelan influence that he aspired to imitate , more than others. This may be one of them
As a musician - classical guitarist and pianist I love Debussy so much and am able to have a deeper understanding of the music itself. The melodies, the harmony etc, how it all works to create such beautiful masterpieces..........
Thank you for the playlist
The musician is now going to finish her math homework while listening to Debussy 🥺💗

Debussy's piano solo's are sublime, wonderful for healing and enjoyment, and for bumblebees playing in the flowers....lol.

I really love the way Tutti interprets Refections on the Water!! All the notes in the arpeggios are very clearly heard!
He is good . He is a Debussy specialist.
¡Gracias!
Hi dear ❤
Ahhh, Debussy! My most favorite piano music 🙏💖

I could listen to all day like a dream.

No wonder why Chopin really admired him. Music was meticulously delivered from heaven by this angel man.

Felicidades!!
My preferred composer of all time. Du calme ...I really need it now.

Debussy for president. Makes me Dream of Paris. Dreambusy. Im on a very small Island in the Scandinavia. But I love this. The picture. Everything.
Thank you! The pianists will be delighted to hear that you enjoyed their renditions. Have you ever been to Paris? 😊
@@HALIDONMUSIC yes I biked from Denmark to Paris when I were 13-14. Once.
@@HALIDONMUSIC I love your uploads. There's just alot on TH-cam already
You should be listening to Stenhammar.
“Grab Em” by Debussy. The best recording that never was.
Thank you for this peaceful and beautiful piano solo list. I think Debussy is the best pianist in the earth..!
