    Great interview! Evan and Chris are living my dream as well. That's what I've been hoping I'll be able to do when I retire. That would be awesome if they started their own channel. It would be nice to experience this kind of lifestyle from he perspective of people who are totally new to it. Looking forward to the tour video.

      Thank you Jamie! Yeah, what's great about it is, he's still working fulltime while working remote on the road. That's where I want to be at. Just have to wait a few more years for our kids to finish Highschool then our journey begins as well. Hoping you start living and following your dreams soon too. I know you are already taking steps in that direction. Great job!

      @@AdventuringArthur I have a few too many cats to do that, but if I can resist the urge to adopt more after older ones pass away eventually I'll get there. A few of my younger ones may be willing to travel, but I can't imagine taking more than two along. Except for my new 3D printing thing, all my other work can be done from anywhere, and I hope someday to do what you're wanting to do. I'd probably want to keep my home base, though that does come with its own challenges of upkeep while I'm away. Sadly the pandemic has changed so many plans and ambitions of mine, and I don't think I'll really be able to plan long term until I see how things settle with my businesses. Might take a few years, but I'll get there. Maybe will be camped next to you years down the road, you never know!

      @@JamieMakin Now that would be a hoot! Hope it works out so we can go after that dream sooner than not. Maybe we could have you over for some Mexican dinner on the road.

      @@JamieMakin Yup. Taking it one day at a time. The clock is ticking though and I have the "itch" to get out there. So it may be sooner than later. Only time will tell.

    Good morning Art & Evan. I'm not sure if Canada is allowing entry yet through the United States? A very thorough and informative video for those interested in a possible trailer lifestyle. Best of luck to you Evan.

      Thanks Dennis for checking it out. Evan is a great guy and a friend of many years. To see him chasing his dream and actually living it out is a thing of beauty. As far as Canada is concerned, yeah that may be an issue but hopefully by the time he heads over from the north east in that direction restrictions will have lifted otherwise it may be a pain. I have heard that if you travel up through the Washington state if you stay on the highways and only fillup when crossing Canada to Alaska that they let you pass to get to Alaska. (I could be wrong).

    We are thinking about full timing but not sure because of family. We are planning at first to go rving for 4 months and then go from there. Excited to be a member of your channel. Melissa from RV Rolling with MJ

      Thank you RV Rolling WIth MJ! I am excited to hear about your journey. We too want to go full time but are waiting till our kids graduate high school before we can do so (in about 3 years). In the meanwhile we are preparing, meeting with people who have already made the transition and are saving up. Thanks for subscribing to the channel! Glad to have you!

    Loved this style of video, great interview, hope Evan starts a 5th wheel travel channel, I know I would subscribe! The cliffhanger at the end got me, I was looking forward to seeing this beast of a mobile home. Guess I will just have to wait, looking forward to the next video, great video grasshopper as expected!

    I didn’t catch what size home he downsized from? Hats off for going for your dream!!!

      @AdventuringArthur  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's 53' long which is why he has to get a class b license. Not sure if he has taken the test yet as there is a 6 month backlog at the DPS here in Texas. Nice to see him chasing his dream. One day we will get our as well.

      I believe he was in a very large 2 story home probably near 3000 square feet with a giant pool and beautiful backyard patio area.

      @@AdventuringArthur I’d be interested to hear if his wife is missing any type of storage from that home. I’m thinking of downsizing to less space & maintenance up keep. Current upkeep is nearly 3000sq ft & 1.25 acre. Thinking of going to 1200sq feet, add a garage for hubby and 1/2 acre lot. It’s a one level home.

    • @AdventuringArthur
      @AdventuringArthur  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be a huge shift. I know she is happy with less cleaning to worry about I am sure there are doubts but hopefully with time they will adjust and learn to love it.

      @@AdventuringArthur that’s my worry, I sadly know that the days of small kids are over and I’m using literally 1/3 of my house. The other rooms are basically for guests. I just know when i sell I will never be able to buy back if I wanted due to crazy pricing. The downsize home is a former rental property & family owned but great shape and better brick job than my current house!

    Hey Evan, take it from a guy trapped here (for now)
    Do not go any higher than South Carolina on the east coast.
    Anyhting above that, "the rules" chnage (sometimes daily!) and the people are acting strangely.
    Perhaps in Vermont/NH/Maine (stay away from anyhting above 5000 people!) it might be different, but for sure..do your research.
    And for god's sake, stay out of the NJ/NY/PA area if you can (western PA i hear is ok) - it's pure hell here. - -- which is why i'm watching all these videos!
