Currently looking for a new job. I have been working in my job for many years and am comfortable but I am extremely underpaid for the amount of work I do. They will not raise my pay. Hope for better things ahead 🙏
34F. Hitting $1.75M net worth. Whoever said “the first $1M is the hardest” was dead wrong. I feel like my foot really came off the pedal after $1M, and it’s been 2 years of spinning around $1.4M now. This year I’m going to make it my mission to hit $1.75M net worth 🤞🤞🤞.
So many goals! Would love to hit $500K in investments, finish saving for a down payment for our first home, and most importantly financially prepare for our first little one coming in June 🤰🏻
Zoe - add a meal plan (don't include breakfast or lunch unless you want too) you and JS on a Sunday plan two weeks of meals and then grocery shop together to teach him how to keep costs down. Meal planning is something I have done for years (when I had four growing boys eating me out of house and home) and I can tell you that it has saved me SOOO MUCH MONEY ...also be kind to your self - stock at least one frozen entrée for that LAZY meal a week when you don't want to cook ...it will also save you ...Glenda
Zoe, if I could double subscribe I would. You are my favourite TH-camr and I like that your videos seem genuine. I hope you achieve all your financial goals this year
wow it’s so amazing you guys actually took the time to do an audit on your annual spending! sounds like good results came out of it! i’m so excited for the changes you are making. this year i also decided to quit on coffee out mostly because the one i make at home always tastes better so why am i spending elsewhere?! here’s to making more money in 2025🎉🎉🎉 not to spend more but to no worry about money so much! 💛
This video just encouraged me to reach out to my friend. She just got her first big girl job out of college, so now is the time to start the conversation about investing, 401k, emergency fund etc
Love your comments about being open with your friends about finances. Me and a friend recently opened that conversation, and even though we’re in very different positions, our goals really align and lately we’ve been enjoying quiet socialising. Dinner at each others weekly, walks, hikes, etc. Now I’m looking to find my online crew! Appreciate your continued budgeting inspiration!
21:20 😂 that’s super cute. Considering that money is one of the most contentious topics in a relationship it’s great to see that you can speak to one another about it so freely. Also, if you’re making presentations then there’s a fair amount of transparency which is also great.
hey zoe! just a tip for the nails thing :) if you find a good quality normal (non-gel) nail polish, it could take you like 30 minutes to put on and it could last up to a week. i do this if i'm meeting up with friends or going to a party or something, and then only on special occasions (like big holidays or big events), i do gel or acrylic. i really don't do the gel/acrylic often, and my nails can end up so healthy and long that i feel super cute even with just my normal nails and regular nail polish, and i save a bunch on money and time!
I went natural with hair, nails and everything to practice loving and appreciating myself more because I was depending too much for add ons to think I look Beautiful. Now that Ive basically have been natural for 2-3 years, Im back to the point of wanting to love on myself with a little self care and maintenance. So I have decided to start doing my own nails because I love the natural look and I just add rubber base gel to them and top coat. And Im learning this year how to do my lashes🙂There’s nothing wrong with a little girly maintenance but if it’s affecting how you see or view yourself in a negative way, then it’s definitely time to take a break from it. We grow and change everyday as humans. So in this season of my life I am sacrificing time to do my own nails , hair etc but When I get my income where I want it and debt paid down. Im pretty sure I’ll go back to paying someone to do it. But I think I’ll continue to do my nails myself because I like the bare minimum and nail shops are so expensive 😬
Aw I love how you and Jean had a family finance session! It’s so great that you two are on the same page and support each other towards your goals. I feel really confident about my budget this year and have most of my big expenses for the year already planned out and accounted for. As you said, having a budget for those things actually makes me feel more free because I feel no guilt or worry when I do make those big purchases.
I needed this! Thank you for encouraging me alone this journey! I’ve only been watching you since November but you are 100% my comfort TH-camr I feel like I’ve been watching you for years!
I’m so happy to hear that you will be doing zero based budgeting. It is truly a game changer, knowing that every dollar is accounted for and tracked. Makes spending your money stress free because you know you have it! Zoe, sending you all the best for 2025 ☺️
Such a great video, thank you for the transparency! I was the same with getting my nails done, loved the look but not the price and time it took to get them done. I highly recommend a good brand of press on nails. I put them on for a week or 2 when I have an event and then take them off. It stops the cycle of going to the salon and saves SO much time and money. Good quality brands like Glamnetics and Quickies look like your real nails and stay on for a week or more 👍
Thanks so much for this detailed video and happy 2025!! I am the same with my nails- used to never be without nail polish... However after starting to becone more conscious about my health (all the poisons that nailpolish contains which sinks into your body) plus realizing i "need" it to regard myself as pretty, i stopped doing my nails. It's been 2 years and i saved so much time... You can actually determine a lot of health-related things just by looking at your natural nails, like nutrient deficencies if full of white dots! As long as you take care of your hands, you will be fine without nail polish. All the best Zoe:)
Hi Zoe, you have put 2024 as the year on your spreadsheets instead of 2025 !! Love the videos you make, you are amazing in everything you do and you deserve 100K subscribers x
Zoe for the one time purchases you had in 2024 such as ski pass, fitness subscription etc you can setup a monthly sinking fund for them, so you are not stressed about them later.
As always, thanks for sharing the money vids. I dont do zero based budgeting, I usually have some money leftover after I've budgeted all categories. My Leftover money is what I use to treat myself, dine out etc. I think I am gonna add a "dine out" category cause its so easy to overspend on eating out. I'm hoping it will help me control that habit. I may add a treat yourself category too.
i'm doing...trying to do a no spend january. doesn't include the 2 times I ate out. it was cheap! I am really trying to be mindful. I am disabled I have a really bad spine so having decent food available for me all the time isn't always in the plan. I try to make freezer meals or meal prep somewhat but when you cant stand or use your arms without a great deal of pain its awful. I keep trying though. I love your channel I have been watching you for a few years now. thanks Zoe!
I don’t think I can watch an hour of someone doing their budget! But because it’s Zoe Pritchard, I put a candle on, brought my MacBook out and I simultaneously plan my year .
Love your videos! Happy New Year! Thanks for all your budgeting advice and introducing us to The Line. I started using the budget tracker in December 2024 and I made so many mistakes. I put amounts in the dark green boxes and messed up the tracker. Do you know how to fix the tracker or should I just make a new copy and start all over?
hmmm you could deff make a copy, or reach out to The Line with any technical questions. But I’d go go back to your email with the download link and make a new copy. Anything in green is auto so you dont touch it ✨
I love financial meetings!😅 My husband and I have a meeting for everything. 10 year anniversary and I feel like as the saver I can trust him so much more w money now ❤🎉😊 To think people use to make fun of us for a more business minded strategy to get things done.
i love this!! The year end was our first financial meeting and it was so fun and really made me feel like we were a team 😍 I recently heard someone say that a relationship or household is like a business and honestly it can be so true! If we manage our finances well together, other areas of our life can run more smoothly.
Send your partner to massage class. This way the monthly massage would cost you nothing except maybe the cost of the table and towels. It’s a great way to start a date night.😂😂😂
Zoe!! Maybe you answer this in this video (haven’t finished it yet) but when you bring money back in from a sinking fund how do you mark that on the budget sheet? Do you leave it out entirely or input it as an income and as an expense? Love all of your videos btw 💗
hii! hopefully this answers the question 🙈 If go on vacation and spend from a sinking fund itll go in the Vacation expense category. The budget tracker doesnt keep a tally of your sinking funds but you can easily add a sheet and create your own tracker (which Ive done but didnt show in this vid). I would not count it as income.
Hi Zoe, I have been using the Line Budget Tracker. My only issue is that I get paid on the 25th so tracking my expenses in the Expense Log is a mission. Any advice?
Hey!! It shouldn't change much. I also mostly get paid at the end of the month. That is where one month ahead comes in so handy 😍 (I have an old video about this if you search it on my channel). Keep inputting your expenses throughout the month, and set your monthly budget based on what you know you can afford. The timing of your paycheque would only matter if you pay for everything on debit. In this case, getting one month ahead, using cash or a prepaid credit card would help tremendously xx
Hey Zoe, have you thought about enabling the Super Thanks feature? It’s a great way for us to support you and give back for always creating real but inspiring content. Keep up the great work in the new year 🌟
Curious how you track if you were to pay for a group dinner and people Venmo/pay you back? Also - and not sure if this applies to you, if you are to take out cash from an ATM from your checking and you may/may not spend it, how is that tracked
if I paid for a group dinner and everyone paid me back right away i would input the full dinner price in the expense log (ex. Dining Out $100) and then add another line and treat it as a return (Dining Out -$75) so that it would balance out on my expense log. Taking money from the ATM i wouldn’t track, Id only track what I spent that money on :)
When you warned us you wouldn't be adding us to a newsletter I actually thought it would be fun to receive one from you! Would you ever think about doing that??
sorry that wasnt clear! my rent + parking in the Bills category is my fixed monthly indoor parking. The Expense Log parking is when Im out and about and have to pay for parking in the city (so it changes month to month)
Girl, I was literally 🤏🏾 close to buying a new car...with negative equity! I went to 4 dealers and were giving me super high payments and I finally found a car I loved and was affordable, but it was getting late so we were going to meet the next day to close the deal. I went to sleep and had to catch myself, like why would I want a higher monthly payment because of my negative equity when I could pay off this car in less than 2 years if I just wait?!
@ZoePritchard yes! Especially for impulsive people like myself. I only had my current car for 1 year 😭 but now I kind of know what I want my next car to have. That was all God, because if everything worked out in the dealership that day, I would have left with that new debt!
paint your nails when they grow out a bit! i got fake nails decades ago and i hated them! i stabbed myself with them constantly. my toes and feet were bleeding, and my face! everywhere! i had them almost 2 weeks went back to the salon and had them removed. YUCK! TOO MUCH OF A TOMBOY FOR NAILS!!!! LOL
what is your money vibe for 2025??
Trying to save up for traveling I wanna travel this year to places I’ve been wanting to go 😊❤
Establishing some sort of a fund for my child's future 🌟 Vibe is definitely mindfulness and stability 💰

my favourite nail polish brand is Morgan Taylor but i'm from south africa, so i'm not sure what's available for you
ill look for that brand 😍 thank you for the tip!! i think i will do just this once my 3 month challenge is up 🙈 much less work and less damaging!
i like catrice nail products, but im living in germany..

Can you talk more about being a content creator/business owner and opening a business bank account, and tracking business expenses?
36:35 lowercase I? No mini i. 😂
staying humble 😂
Where did you get the emerald ring from? Would you do a jewellery collection? I love your pieces ❤
thank you!! the middle finger oval ring is a saphhire and it was my moms 🥹
I always notice this same ring! I love it ! 😍
Would you do a cash stuffing video ?
yess!
Where is your sweater from!!?

aw thank you 🙈🙈 ive never considered it because I dont want to ask my audience for money when there are ads on my vids
Helped towards the 70k subs goal 🥳💛
yayyy thank you 💕💕💕
Curious how you track if you were to pay for a group dinner and people Venmo/pay you back? Also - and not sure if this applies to you, if you are to take out cash from an ATM from your checking and you may/may not spend it, how is that tracked
if I paid for a group dinner and everyone paid me back right away i would input the full dinner price in the expense log (ex. Dining Out $100) and then add another line and treat it as a return (Dining Out -$75) so that it would balance out on my expense log. Taking money from the ATM i wouldn’t track, Id only track what I spent that money on :)
@@ZoePritchard ty!!
When you warned us you wouldn't be adding us to a newsletter I actually thought it would be fun to receive one from you! Would you ever think about doing that??
🙈🙈🙈 I have no idea what Id put in it haha
Would sinking fund savings go under savings ? If so, can I add way more rows ? Or would it go under expense ?
i would put it under savings! you can email The Line and they will help you add more rows :)
Hi Zoe!!! :) AGREED to everyone watching, let's make 2025 our best money year! 🤑 sending you positive vibes! 🤗
LET’S GOOO!! We got this!!
I would love to increase my savings this year but the debt payments always come first 😔 hopefully this will be the last year with them
you got this!! you will feel so free once that debt is gone 💕
Why do you put parking with your rent as well as separate on your card or did I miss something?
sorry that wasnt clear! my rent + parking in the Bills category is my fixed monthly indoor parking. The Expense Log parking is when Im out and about and have to pay for parking in the city (so it changes month to month)
@ZoePritchard ok got it..thanks for the clarification I was like she's paying for parking twice lol
Where do you invest please I want to start investing so I can get dividend
Hi, I tried sending you an email but I bounced back, not sure if what is listed in your description is accurate.
it should work! i've received emails from a few others 🙈 zoe@zoepritchard.com or if that is not working try zoelovex3@gmail.com xx
It says 2024 in the tracker instead of 2025.
you can just edit that :)

@ZoePritchard yes! Especially for impulsive people like myself. I only had my current car for 1 year 😭 but now I kind of know what I want my next car to have. That was all God, because if everything worked out in the dealership that day, I would have left with that new debt!
