Out of town again but this is one of my most anticipated episodes! Can't wait to watch at home. This game is definitely a step up in a lot of ways. One of my all-time faves

It's always great to see some new appreciation for the series as the games are remade and modernised! Well done dad for giving your son all this support with the setup- and even being a part of the videos. I WISH my parents would have been this cool. Lex you are playing so well. RE2 is a tough one but I know you can do it. I can't wait for the next episode! ✨️

RE2 Remake is among one of the best games out there.
This game is pretty much full on survival horror, tension and gore all over!
Some advice, saving is free in this game (at least on Standard difficulty) so save every chance you get.
Don't get too close to enemies, they will most likely jump you, keep your distance.
Shooting in the leg also works but there's a chance when you go back to a place where you shot a zombie in the leg, it might bite u on the floor, so be careful.
Shooting in the head, stunning them, also gives you a chance to just run away.
Anyways, i hope you really enjoy RE2, it's a fan favorite!

As someone who has been playing Resident Evil since I got a PS1 for Christmas in 1996, this game is the peak of the series to me. Rumours are they are working on a proper modern remake of RE1 to release in 1996 for the 30th anniversary, if they do it in this style then that’s the only thing I can see ever topping it

Oh heck yeah! Res 2 remake is sick. I hope you guys enjoyed the new graphics.
Enjoy re2 remake guys, stock up on lots of health and ammunition this game has a lot to offer and the zombies are a lot harder to kill too and they can follow you into different rooms. Try finding more barricades to use to barricade windows with and to help keep those zombies away. The boss fights are quite challenging too and fun to play and you will be running around a lot lol. Good luck and have fun you guys re2 remake is a fantastic game! 😀 👍🏻

Although RE2R has flaws like the messed up B scenarios, missing enemies/areas, the missing zapping system, lack of music etc. from the 1998 version, it's still very well made and most of all fun to play. Getting S+ ranks on Hardcore on all scenarios for the PS4 version was very tough but some of my most proud achievements in gaming! When this first came out, I felt confident I could start on Hardcore because I'm a vet of the OG 1998 version. Let's just say I quickly changed it to Normal because I couldn't even get past the first zombie. lol Needless to say this game is much harder than the OG. Very happy to see you guys playing this and good luck!

I might throw in some tips for RE2 remake, only if you want them! They're just to help make things a little easier. If you prefer not to you don't need to read past here!
Tip 1: zombies will hear you in this game, like if run or shoot, even from the next room from you. just something to keep in mind if you're ever in a situation where you don't feel you need to shoot, good way to not draw more to you. (often you do have to shoot though, obviously lol. but not always)
2: Knives work just like in the old games, you can cut enemies while they're knocked over. (or even while standing, which can be more risky but sometimes you don't have much options if you run out of ammo) good way to save ammo overall. The knives do have a durability bar and will break eventually though, but there are always more around.
3: If you want to slow zombies down, try aiming for their legs. (might take a couple hits but you will see, even works with a knife if I remember correctly)
4: The key items in your inventory, if you see a red check mark on them, they're no longer needed so you don't need to keep them in your inventory anymore. (you can either discard them or put them in your item box if that makes you feel better just in case lol) Really a good thing to know so that you don't need to waste inventory space. (the game might actually tell you about this, I forget. if so you can ignore this one lol)
Hope this helps! This game takes RE to a whole new level. It's crazy that zombies can just go through doors now. When I first saw it happen I was like 😮

Absolutely loved watching you both play through the resi's, takes me back. Been a massive fan since playing the original back in 1996 (i was only 6!). Also used to love playing the og trilogy with my dad and best friend back in the day (now both sadly gone). Cherish these times lads.
Just a quick pointer - forgive me if you have the graphics settings turned down for a better framerate, but you're missing a tonne of detail by not cranking the settings up! This game looks immense at max settings.

Just got back from vacay and was finally able to watch. Rly good episode, lots of close calls, it was so intense. Cant wait for more. Also, answering Pablos question of where the viewers are from, 8Bit Explosion and I are from a small island in the Caribbean called Puerto Rico 🇵🇷😉

Excited for you guys to experience this incredible game together! I was a bit younger than Lex when I first played the original Resident Evil 2, and it's still one of my favorite games of all time.

Enjoyable first episode of RE2 Remake 😁 Here's a few tips on dealing with the Zombies 🧟♂️
When you aim at the Zombies wait until the crosshairs join together then press the fire button for a stronger attack, that helps save ammo and increases the odds of popping the head.
You can also hit the Zombies in the knees to take a leg off and make them less mobile, same goes for the arms to prevent getting grabbed and bitten. If you take off both arms and legs they will be left on the floor doing a very slow belly crawl while trying to bite your feet 😂 Sometimes it is better to just take off a leg or two to make the Zombies less of an inconvenience and not bother with fully eliminating them.
One last tactic is to move slow near certain Zombies in order to not alert them automatically to your presence because they react immediately to loud noises like running.

Yeah you can aim at the shoulder joint or anywhere else on the arm including the hand to take the arm off. I like aiming for the elbow area in most situations. When this game first came out it wasn't widely known that you can blast off parts of the Zombies to make them less of an obstacle or to use the focus aiming 😅 Both definitely help with evening the odds 👍

I liked Frost's intro, It was based on the Resident Evil books written by Sarah D. Perry. After the events of the first game, the R.P.D chief Irons tries to cover up the events of the mansion, by blaming the STARS members. During a press conference, Irons puts a statement alleging that alcohol and drugs where involved during the mission in the Arklay Mountains. Chris, Jill, Rebecca and Barry had no choice but to resign and hide from the public. Chris travels to Umbrella's headquarters in Europe leading to the events of Code Veronica. Barry goes back to his family, Jill remains in the city during the events of Resident Evil 2, then she escapes 24 hours later as seen in Resident Evil 3. Rebecca files a fake report about Billy Coen, his companion during Resident Evil 0, and leaves the city right before Resident Evil 2.
So that brings us here with Claire looking for his brother and Leon's first day at the job.

Claire's campaign/story is different. You must play it. Ot is highly recommend to complete the game. The game is incomplete of you only play one character.
It depends on how long it takes to complete Leon's story. If it doesn't take too long, my dad and I will consider it. I would love to play Claire's scenario, I'm sure it would be great! 💪👍

@@Ibs69420 Leon and Claires campaigns are extremely different. Each have their own unique weapons, rooms, keys, side characters, exclusive areas and bosses
@@arklayembers they have the same bosses, only one different side character, 1 exclusive area, only thing thats actually different for the most part are the op weapons that claire gets.
It depends on how long completing Leon will take. If it's only 10 episodes, we might do both.

Was cool to see your guys' stunned reaction to the opening, this game really does grab you. Otherwise a decent start, but for an hour and a half episode there was a lot of time taken up by interruption and shout outs, you're only really about 20 - 30 minutes into the game.

Really liked the intercutting of the STARS members trying to explain too, it's just like I've always imagined what would've happening after the Mansion incident, but we've never seen it 👌👌👌
@@SHEGradon Ah nice, you've got many great episodes to look forward to! When you've finished X-Files, I'd really recommend checking out the TV series 'Millennium' which ran from 1996 through to 1999, same creator, same composer, a lot of the same staff involved in the show's production. Lance Henriksen ('Bishop' in Aliens/Alien3) is the lead actor and he does an excellent job.
Millennium had a really good first season, and slightly less impressive, but still really interesting, second season (which had some of the show's best episodes). It lost its way a bit on the third season unfortunately but it's still worth watching.
Glad you liked the bits with the STARS members in Iron's office. I always thought that was an interesting point in the story that hasn't really received much attention!

@@SHEGradon I'd never heard of until a few years ago either. Maybe it was just completely overshadowed by X-Files at the time. Deep Space Nine is well worth watching! Season 4 of DS9 is the best season of any Star Trek in my opinion. :o

No not yet, we're going to be doing the remakes of re2-4 first I think. Not entirely sure if that is the best decision.
@@Lexonal its not necessarily a bad decision but i personally would have done RE5 and 6 first with them being older games. I always find its a bit weird going backwards in terms of gameplay and graphics quality.
