Hugh Newman: legend👍👍 that joy in discovering new connections in the landscape never grows old🥰 it was reading Louis L’Amour books when I was a kid that got me looking, actually looking at the land. I’m in Aotearoa New Zealand, our ancient landscape is rather different from yours, I used to really envy you castles and dolmans, but I’ve learned to love our secret sacred landscape as I’ve got older😁

At 20:41, could there be some mineral in the ground that when reacting with water or weak carbonic acid from dissolved limestone, produces some kind of gas that has mental effects on humans?

The grooved ware pottery was connected with one of the branches of the warlike culture that came from the Gog Magog area, so maybe the name came from the homeland of one of the groups who lived in the area. The horse/wheel/weapons/raider mentality thing happened in 400BC helped by a genetic mutation around the same year for sheep to have high value long haired weavable wool. I detest that warlike nature of those people and how they invaded peaceful Europe.

Most Christians see the Gog and Magog in the Bible as being the area from just west of the Caucuses through to south east Russia, roughly the area were horses were first domesticated, the wheel invented and also violent expansionist attacks on peace loving neighbouring civilisations invented. With the wheel, horses and newly invented metallic weapons, they were set to spread out and invade. I am ashamed that all of our Indo European languages came from those people.
