This is one of the best scene in action movie history and no one is throwing a punch or shooting a gun. It's just three action titans standing and interacting in the same room. I love how Arnold came in for this film, even though he was still in office at the time. I consider the Expendables films a love letter to the old school, and you can't get more classic action then the Rambo and Conan.
The problem is that this scene has been shot twice. Bruce and Arnold didn't happen to be together to film this. Sly had to do it twice with each one of them.
@@davidkruse4030 which is a weird thing, I didn’t take American history but when did they add that on, because Washington was definitely not born American and so were most of the early presidents

@@kaelthunderhoof5619 Honestly I agree. I have NO IDEA why Seagal is referred as a great action star. He's the worst one out of all of them. Even in his prime, his acting sucks and his martial arts is no wear near as complex or impressive as the other action stars. From what I've looked up, Stallone offered Seagal a cameo in the first film and offered him a full role in the third film, both of which Seagal turned down. And thank God. Seagal would've dragged these films down.
I think majority of the problem was plot itself. The trope of putting old action stars is running out for Expendables quickly. Some stars are too expensive to bring in. It's natural that they would let fighters breaking into acting be in movie.
I don't think he actually tried because he can't. It's in the Constitution that any presidential candidate has to be born here. He may have tried to advocate for an amendment but I doubt he got any traction with it.
I also think Arnold pushing this job onto Stallone was a nod to the time Arnold tricked Stallone into being in the worst movie of his career, is that a stretch?
A few fun facts about this scene: Arnold was originally offered the role of Mr Church but declined as he wanted to play Trench, as he thought it was a better role. Stallone then went to Kurt Russel to play Mr Church, but Russel didn't want to be in an ensemble action film at that time for whatever reason. So after that Stallone went to Willis for the part. Also, Steven Seagal was offered a cameo role but turned it down because of one of the producers. It's unknown whether this cameo would've been for Mr Church, Trench, or another character that was cut out of the film.
My only complaint with this is it should have happened in their primes. Here they are already old but the awesomeness is still there. Imagine if they were on top of their game. The screen would melt due to excessive manliness radiation.
John Rambo, John Matrix, and John MaClane. Imagine if they were joined by John Wick, John Wayne, John Marston, and John Connor. An unbeatable team of John's.

Aaaaaah, 80's and 90's Action, back when practical effects and stunts still rule and TESTOSTERONE LEVELS are higher than Mount Everest. few of the most badass mother fuckers in the same movie... The Expendables is the best movie ever made, if the second one is half as badass as that one i'll be happy!
Is there a reason they're never all in the same shot together? Like, you never see a single shot of them all together. It makes me think some of this was edited together to make it seem like they were all the scene, but it's more likely that they just filmed on different days and never all met up.
When ever these three guys get together. This is what I imagine it will always be like. That is the Bruce Willis I love. Only Clint Eastwood and Bruce Willis can pull off that so called; Eye rage.
