I just turned my volume down, lol! I think you have just the right amount of volume. I hear you fine! Thank you for your time and energy to make this vid, Erica. 💗
I just did my fist wax melt and followed your directions, and it came out awesome!!! How long should I wait before I can use them, give them away or sell them????
I think grams are soooo much easier! It seems confusing only because it’s something we’re not used to, but working with whole numbers instead of decimals is so much better!
Hi...love your videos...can you talk about international shipping ...and also the best way to collect revenue to be specific alternatives to paypal and cash app...thanks in advance. I haven't started yet, but these are some concerns i have that i don't see candle makers creating content on
if you registered your shop as a business in your state can you make a video going over that process and the difference between the different business models such as LLC vs Sole Proprietor? Thank you, love your channel!
Hi! I haven’t really talked about this in depth just because I don’t know very much about it because I’m still so new, but I briefly discussed it in my last video at around 14:30 🙂 th-cam.com/video/RjmSpxGbpRA/w-d-xo.html
That looks so easy. I have a quick question and I can’t find the answer to it any where. So can u melt down the wax melts you already have and pour them in to a silicone mold of like flowers or something
Loved this! Just got 45 lbs of Pillars of Bliss. And some clamshells. What wax were you using here and do you still continue to use it for your wax melts? Dying wax is so hard and I have liquid wax. I may need to waste some wax to do a dye sample color spectrum. I just can't figure out how to do it using the least amount of wax. For instance if I use tealight molds, I don't feel it could give me a good basis for measurements. I would assume that one ounce increments (half a votive) would be best to help with the math for larger quantities. If I do decide to do so, and find hues that I like.... can I re-melt them to make a votive and adding scent at the appropriate time?? I wonder if anyone has testing making their waxes in a color batch first, which would require a re-melt.... and once they know they have the color right - to add FO when the re-melt reaches 170-180?
Very good video 😉 but one question, yo mentioned that the precision of the scale should be 0.01g in your comments, but the one that is linked is 0.1g, which one do you recommend?
Erica I love watching your videos, they are so informative and entertaining. I do have one question, what kind of wax do you use for your melts? Thank You in advance.
I just got into candles in March 2022 I am in the process of testing but I also would like to make some wax melt I know this is not related to wax melt but I was making some candles tonight and I took one of those cups that you have and I poured in the fragrance and I noticed that at the bottom of the cup it turned dark And I assumed that the cup is soaked up some of the fragrance well I took a pipe lit and I removed all the fragrance from the cup and put it back into the 1 ounce bottle and yes I was right it did soak up some of the fragrance because it did not fill up to 1 ounce so I’m thinking of using something different something maybe that is plastic that won’t soak up the fragrance thank you for all the tips that you are giving because I am fairly new to candles
Not sure if you'll see this message, but you say wax tart n wax melt throughout your description. I'm wondering what is difference if any between melt n tart??? Thank you!!!! Love watching you and I'm learning so much! Thank you
They are the same thing :) however I think “wax tart” is actually trademarked so it should be wax melt, but they are the same thing! The wax used to make wax melts is typically called “tart wax” or pillar wax, though!
So you don't use soy wax only for your melts? Do you recommend not using soy wax or coconut soy blend with clamshells? I've used 100% soy wax for clamshells and they pop out fine, yes they are softer but they pop out fine. What do you recommend?
Good morning! I recently discovered your channel and have been loving watching these older videos to see what you use to do vs what you do now! Quick question if you have time: have you noticed any discoloration of the wax melt warning labels due to the dye in the wax melts? I have seen it happen a couple times to others and am curious how common it is when putting the label on the inside. Or, maybe it takes awhile to happen and you may not keep them in stock that long. Thank you! :)
Love you videos. I use 646 soy and put them in condiment cup because they are soft wax, how does this compare with 464 wax? Does it hold the scent better? Thank you
I loved your video. I want to go into making the scented tarts My question the big thing of wax you got are there other places to get that.? I seen the link for the kits also how do you feel about using essential oils in the melts ? Thank you soo much for your videos I’m subscribed and following
Hi. I just wanna tel you I find your videos very helpful. I now wanna give you my idea.... maybe you want to try to use a metal meat tenderizer tool to brake your tart wax.
hello how do I work with the container wax, I order a large amount and they don't accept return even if its not open. any advice on how to use it for wax tarts. it was too soft and wouldn't pop out when I found out they won't accept the return. also my other question is when I am measuring in grams when my wax is solid I get a little bit over the amount I need for my calm shells at 17g leftover which is fine for samples. however when I melt the wax and pour it out instead of having over I am a whole 70 g short (instead of 4 filled ,I only have 3 filled) what am I calculating wrong. I went online for the cal and it says my measurement is correct but yet when its liquid the grams is not right
Lola Sweetheart it just depends on the wax you’re using! Some waxes can hold a higher fragrance load, others not so much. It’s not a general rule. My tart wax can hold up to 18%, but that doesn’t mean that you can do 18% with any wax. That’s why it’s important to look up the directions for the wax you’re using 🙂
What temp do you add the FO to the wax for melts? I’m using 6006 and heating to 200 and I can’t get a good HT to save my life!! Each clam is about 66g wax and 4-5g of FO.
I'm so glad I watch your video I like making wax melts I came across this new wax eco soy wax q210 and its fragrance load it's approximately 18% Max would you prefer a 15%when using this wax this is my first time ever going this high in percentage of fragrance for Candles
Oh wow, the container wax holds 18% or is it tart wax? Either way I would test out different fragrance loads and see what works best! Going with the highest load doesn’t always yield the best candle! Sometimes less is more
Hi do u have any links please for the containers you put the wax in, the colouring for the melts ,the wax you use and if you make a plain one like baby powder is that just using the wax itself .
I always wash it out with the soup when I am done, feeling like the scent from the previous one still smell strong and will alter the net one I am about to do. am I overthinking lol?
Hi..love ur videos. Canu advise me as to how i can pack the wax melts so that the fragrance remains . What is the difference between wax melts and tarts? How an i price them?
Love your videos !!! just made my wax tarts today and I’m wondering do they need to cure? If so how long? Thank you for your great and helpful content!
Thank you!! It depends on the wax you’re using! Usually anywhere from 3-7 days is good for me but it just depends! If you ever have any concerns or questions, I would call your supplier and ask :)
Hi! Such a great video. Really full of great information! In case you’re interested in how I got here, this was recommended after I watched Sunshine Soap& Candle co.’s latest video (love her!). So anyhow, you have a new subscriber. 😄

People complain about the sound quality? Seriously? This was perfect. Well explained and clear to understand. Great video 👍
I have found 444 wax mixed with a small amount of beeswax works wonders for my melts. I also used BW 921 and it worked great too.
Oh my gosh, this video could not have came at a better time. Was going to start exploring how to properly make them soon!
Oh yay I’m glad it helped!! ☺️
Great info as always!!

Haha well that’s better than not being able to hear me 😅 thank you for watching!
That paper towel trip is great... nice video!!
Thank you!
I like your explanation at the beginning. Very clear and informative!
Volume is good, thanks for the Erica!!
Suggestions for harder wax, get maybe a soap cutter. It allows to cit precise sizes neatly, with less pressure
Thank you!
And oh good idea ☺️
Perfect timing. I was looking at my tart supplies and thinking, the time has come...
That was kind of you to share your knowledge with everyone. Thanks to you now I know how to make wax melts.😊😊. Cheers
her voice is so soothing
All of you're videos are perfect the volume and everything its nothing wrong with you're volume
I love your videos! Super informative. Appreciate you making these. Can't wait to make some :D
Thank you! I’m excited for you to make some :)
Thank you for your video! I used a dye chip and didn’t get any speckles! Your video was very helpful!!❤️
I just did my fist wax melt and followed your directions, and it came out awesome!!! How long should I wait before I can use them, give them away or sell them????
What size are your warning labels? And front labels if you don't mind me asking?
I really need to get on the gram side of measurements. Ounces are driving me crazy lol

Great job! I really enjoy your videos. You put so much of yourself into them. Keep up the good work ... Joey
Your wax melt arrived today!! Yay
Oh yayyy!! 🥰
I got a question can you use the pot on the burner or is it better to do double boiler?!?
I’ve never made anything like this before, but you make it look effortless!
They’re very simple to make! And a lot of fun ☺️
I have just started doing melts, great video.
Yay this was fun i’m so with you on the liquid dye what is it with their die chips? I get speckles every time
Same 😬 I really need to change and use something else! But I’ve been using less dye in each batch and it’s been helping
Hello with tw30 do you have a suggested curing time for it? You have really Helped a lot with your videos
I want to know also! I think I read several day to a couple of weeks.
That looks so easy. I have a quick question and I can’t find the answer to it any where. So can u melt down the wax melts you already have and pour them in to a silicone mold of like flowers or something
Man your dog was thirsty thirsty lol

Sometimes if we dont have scented oil , we can mix with soya wax for new candle yikee , hope its smell same.
How long do you cure your wax melts?
About 3-5 days is all they really need!
What kind of wax were you using for the wax melts? If you said it, I missed it.
Thank you i am just starting to make wax melts just for myself .
Super informative! Why not plastic spoon or spatula though to stir?
Erica, you are just perfect! ⚘

I make them myself! But you can get them from CS or a lot of other suppliers too

Until the wax is solidified :)
I usually wait at least 4-5 hours or over night!

We're did you get your clamshell stand from? I need one.
Hi i like your videos. Is it a good product to sell for the first time before the candles?and which type of waxs should we use for wax melt?
*Great video!*
Do you put a warning label on your samples?
Hi Erica! Do you used the clamshells from cal candle supply? I haven't tried there's yet and I'm wondering if the quality is good?

I love your videos. Where do you buy your wax clam shells from? You buy them in bulk I'm assuming.
Thank you! I buy them from cal candle supply!
Maple Street has a sale on them almost every other day, it’s a 100 pack for $13.99
A question... You're using metric grams for the weight are your temperatures also in metric *C or in *F? Thanks
Thanks again! Love your instructions

How much wax did you use to fill the clam shells (6) right? And how much fragrance oil? Awesome video!!!
I do 65 grams of wax with 10 grams of fragrance oil per clamshell :) it’s a 15.3% ratio of FO to wax
Memory Box Candle Co oh so in candle melts, we don’t need to follow the 6-10% rule? Am i right?😂
