Thanks for the lead to Gilomen. I have a Ridge Runner RTX800 UTV powered by a Polaris 800 EFI originally from a 800 Sportsman quad. I will be reaching out to them with questions about how to improve performance.
Gilomen is really the best if your out to set the land speed record every time you can. If your going to do it , go with the best people and products you find.
You're right. They know what they're doing, for sure. Unfortunately, they didn't have something for our Pro when I ordered it early in 21. They do now, and might make the switch.
Great video, Thank you for going slow for us shade tree mechanics. Two questions, what where you tapping out on the secondary? If you have to put your original ECU back in, will the upgrades to the clutches cause error codes? Thanks again. I can do this!!! 😂
very good informative video i subscribed cant wait for my gilomen clutch and ecu package to arrive also got a velocity intake tube from pwr tune going on my 2019 rzr1000s should wake her up a bit
Jake... I know I answered this directly with you on DM, but wanted others to see the answer. The clutch kit includes weights and spring for the stock primary along with spring and helix for the stock secondary. You just swap the new parts into the stock clutches. ECU tune is not required to do the clutch upgrade, but it’s recommended to get the most out of the machine.
I'll have to double check the weights, but I think they're 3,2,1 starting at the pivot. Yes, they're adjustable with magnetic weights. You can see them here th-cam.com/video/MnDg4-e5rDc/w-d-xo.html
Hey guys great video. I rode Hatfield McCoy this past weekend in my 2020 Ranger XP 1000. Had a blast but now I’m already shopping for a RZR! This video makes me think a XP 1000 RZR with the clutch and tune would be the way to go. What’s your opinion on Rzr turbo XP compared to your XP 1000 if I mainly plan on riding W Va trails? Turbo seems little overkill if you are only trail riding. Thanks for your input
Dang... we must have missed this message. Sorry about that. We started out with a cross-over UTV, but quickly realized we needed to get a true sport model. The XP1000 was a great car, but we sold it a few weeks ago to get a 2021 Pro XP. As we state on forums, consistently, it's well worth the extra $1500 to get the turbo for the improved drive train, alone. We like bigger, heavier tires for the clearance and durability, so the clutch kit and tune is a great addition to the XP1000 if that's what you decide. DM us on our FB or Instagram accounts if you have any questions.
Hey guys I rode the Hatfield McCoy system this past weekend with my 2020 ranger XP 1000. We had a blast up there but now I am already shopping for a razor! What is your opinions on a stock XP 1000 like in your video above compared to a razor XP 1000 turbo? Are there any advantages if my main riding conditions will be trails like West Virginia? On the fence of whether not to buy a plain Jane XP 1000 and do the tune and upgrades in your video or at XP 1000 turbo. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
The XP Turbo is well worth the extra $1400. The transmission and front differential are much better and it would take thousands to bring the XP1K up to Turbo performance. The Gilomen tune is great, but you can’t make up for a missing turbo. We’d recommend the XP Turbo over the XP1K. Note: there are tons of folks that will point out that the turbo is not 1000cc, it’s 925cc. Just to save you some grief in the forums. 😎
Wished I’d went with Gilomen Innovations. Could you tell me where what your idle RPM and engagement RPM is? I recently installed a different brand clutch kit and now I feel like my Xp 1000 has a slight stall. Idle is 1300 and engagement is 1700. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Clutch engagement, with the green spring, which I'm using in this install, is expected to be 1950 RPM +/- 150. Our XP1K is coming in between 1900 & 2000 RPM. The red spring that's included in the kit comes in around 1750 RPM and has a lazier engagement. Hope this helps.
Terry’s a G my dog. He terminates all the vehicles and makes them better than flapjacks on a warm Florida afternoon, nah but fur real, my couz Stephahn is terring donuts up left and right. I highly recommend gilomen innovations
I guess you could do that if you really wanted to. You could probably have Gilomen do it as well. The magnets will depend on your setup and what you want out of it.

You’re welcome. Terry and crew will take great care of you.
Great video, I just ordered the same setup for my 900s
Just hit 106mph on the old razor the other day and oh my gol it is amazing! Thank you Mr. Gilomen, thank you 🙏☺️🛴
That's awesome! Be safe out there!
If you don't mind me asking, which kit did you use, and was this on a xp1000 or turbo? I want to take advantage of this.

Always remove ground (-) cable first. Attach ground (-) last. That keeps a tool from accidentally shorting to frame

So for the Gilomen clutch kit is it just the weights and spring that you change out of the stock clutch assembly ?
and do you have to do the ECU tune if you do the clutch kit?

Question it’s been a few years since your replacement and tune, I just ordered mine for my 2023 General xp 1000 4 what am I to expect?
The main thing is better throttle response. We did sell that car not long after we did the upgrade.
What is your weight set up?are they adjustable weights?

Idle is bounces between 1200 and 1250. We'll check the clutch engagement and get back to you. Don't want to give you bad numbers.

@@DirtyRoosterOffroad thank you for the info!

Does it eliminate belt slap on the General’s??
They do have a solution for that, I believe. Go check them out at gilomeninnovations.com/general-1000/2020/general-1000/
Can I just ship my Ranger to you for Gilomen update?
Also how do you know how many magnets to put in?
I guess you could do that if you really wanted to. You could probably have Gilomen do it as well. The magnets will depend on your setup and what you want out of it.
What were you tapping at 22:40?
Puck retaining pins.
Did u do a top speed run on another day? If so what was it
You never said what you were beating out of secondary clutch with hammer
Sorry about that. I was tapping the roll pins out of the roller (puck) shafts.
Is there a direct link?
gilomeninnovations.com I also added the link to the description.
